The motivation for this study stems from the prevalent crisis in the country involving children, characterized by increasing violence, crime, and poor habits. Addressing these issues, the study explores the necessity of implementing a collaborative program between schools and parents to foster children's religious character. Design/methods/approach – The study was conducted at TKIT Baitul Izzah Nganjuk using a qualitative research method presented in a narrative format. Data collection comprised observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was performed using the Miles and Huberman model. Findings – The study revealed that the parent gathering program included three main components: workshops, socialization, and evaluation. The religious character education implemented encompassed routine activities, periodic activities, and teaching and learning activities. The program's benefits were observed in shaping effective parenting patterns and fostering in children an awareness of worship, faith, and good behavior. Research implications/limitations – This research recognizes its scope limitations, focusing solely on the parent gathering program for new students. Practical implications – The findings indicate that the parent gathering program is a valuable tool for building the religious character of early childhood, necessitating cooperation between the school and parents. Originality/value – The implementation of the parent gathering program has shown effectiveness in nurturing religious character from an early age. Design/methods/approach – A cross-sectional study was conducted between February and April 2022. Subjects included mothers of 6 months to < 8 years and children aged 8 to 15 years presenting with minor illnesses to the General outpatient clinic. A structured questionnaire and focus group discussion guide were used to collect the information. Data was analyzed using IBM SPSS version 25. Findings – Out of 238 participants, 128 children were 6 months to <8 years, while 110 were above 8 to 15 years old. Less than half of mothers, 46.9%, had inadequate knowledge, while 20.3% had adequate practices. Among the older children in this study, the proportion of those with good knowledge, attitude, and practice level of oral health was 60%, 61.8%, and 32.7%. There was a significant moderate positive correlation between knowledge and attitude scores but not practice for the 2 groups. Mothers’ education and fathers’ occupation were significantly related to good scores (p=<0.05). Mothers of children with primary teeth and older children with permanent teeth in this study all had poor oral and dental health practices. More awareness programs should be conducted in the community to target those with poor practices. Increasing female education and empowerment is also essential in this regard. Research implications/limitations – This research implies that from an early age, it is necessary to check oral and dental health to prevent infectious diseases. Originality/value – Oral and dental health is an essential aspect of primary health care and is a situation in which the mouth, teeth, and gums are healthy and free from any diseases. Parents, especially mothers, are responsible for maintaining good oral hygiene practices and inculcating good oral hygiene habits in children. Through good cognitive abilities children can also solve all the problems they face, and it will be a provision for children as adults. One of the things that can be used to develop these abilities is through geometry media, where the media teaches various forms of basic patterns. Activities that can be done with geometry media include classifying, recognizing shapes, sizes, and patterns that can be applied in everyday life. This research uses the Literature Review method and is included in qualitative research, where researchers do not go to the field to collect data. The results showed: 1) Early childhood is a time when children are sensitive to various kinds of stimuli in their environment. High curiosity and developmental aspects that must be maximally improved need to be facilitated properly; 2) Children's cognitive abilities can be improved through the use of geometry media in classroom learning activities. Praktek dalam pendidikan atau pembentukan karakter seorang anak yang tanpa ayah, ibu juga bisa melibatkan pihak lain seperti kakek, nenek, guru ngaji (ustad/ustdzah) dan orang — orang terdekat yang berada dalam keluarganya untuk membantu membentuk pendidikan karakternya. menjadi orang tua tunggal pasti mempunyai kendala karena orang tua tunggal harus siap menjalankan semua perannya seperti menjadi ibu rumah tangga sekaligus menafkahi kebutuhan anaknya. maka dari itu, dalam membentuk pendidikan karakter anak yang tanpa adanya seorang ayah akan menjadikannya anak yang mandiri, tidak manja, serta menjadi anak yang tangguh. Adapun kebijakan dalam dunia pendidikan yang diambil oleh pemerintah selama masa pandemic covid-19 yaitu anak — anak belajar dari rumah termasuk juga pembelajaran untuk anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk kerja sama antara guru dan orang tua dalam pembelajaran daring serta pelaksanaan kerja sama antara orang tua dan anak dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran daring. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini yaitu studi pustaka dengan mempelajari berbagai literatur, ataupun berbagai jurnal. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan teknik studi literaturyang dihasilkan berupa data kualitatif. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan kerjasama guru dan orang tua dalam pembelajaran daring sudah terlaksana cukup baik, dan dapat memenuhi tujuan pendidikan anak usia dini, dalam meningkatkan kreativitas anak yang harus ditingkatkan selama pelaksanaan belajar dari rumah dan harus dilakukan secara konsisten, dan berkesinambungan selama masa pandemic. Dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran daring, biasanya guru menggunakan via whatsap agar dapat berkomunikasi dengan peserta didik maupun orang tua, karena melalui via whatsapp dapat memudahkan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran. Selain itu orang tua lebih memahami aplikasi ini dari pada aplikasi lainnya. Beberapa guru juga memanfaatkan metode ceramah / penjelasan karena metode ini sering dipandang lebih berhasil untuk menyampaikan materi pembelajaran kepada anak dalam proses belajar daring karena dapat disesuaikan dengan karakteristik anak. The context of the project itself was the past COVID-19 pandemic, which paralized the education sector, including the closure of early childhood education (ECE) centers. While remote, online learning was highly recommended to face disastrous situation such as pandemic, in practice, especially at the ECE level, online learning faces complex challenges. On the other hand, teachers were not adequately prepared for online and digital learning.\u0000Design/methods/approach – This study combined developmental and conventional descriptive methods. The participants (15 people) were teachers, with various backgrounds of work experience (2 to over 7 years), with good internet access skills. Data and information were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation; followed by descriptive analysis.\u0000Findings – These teachers found that Podcasts could be an alternative and a variation of digital learning media. Making and using podcasts can also be an entry point in strengthening the integration of Technological and Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) in the ECE context.\u0000Research implications/limitations – While storytelling Podcast as ECE learning tool was used limitedly during the COVID-19 period, its uses may last beyond the pandemic time provided systematic integration of digital technology and skills associated with it into ECE sector is met. \u0000Practical implications – This study implies that storytelling podcasts can be an alternative learning tool in the situation where teacher-student face-to-face interaction is less possible.\u0000Originality/value – The emergency period prevented teacher-student direct contacts.
