In the case of automated tests, the tools used automatically perform a quick review of the website and evaluate aspects such as color contrast, text size, consistency in the HTML structure, styles and page navigability, while for manual tests, solutions based on WCAG 2.1 were implemented to comply with the principles: i) Perceptible, automatic text reading, and zoom function were added to see an image in detail; ii) Operable: keyboard navigation was added to all the website's functionalities, iii) Understandable: symbols were designed in a consistent way to the action they represent, and all images have an adequate description, iv) Robust, the website allows the user to use their own technologies, adapting to them. Finally, tests were conducted with disabled users using a questionnaire and focus group techniques to assess their perception on using the website and the results indicate the website is accessible.","PeriodicalId":244692,"journal":{"name":"2020 3rd International Conference of Inclusive Technology and Education (CONTIE)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116916227","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even the concept \"gifted\" is only applied to people who usually excel in math or science, however, this term goes beyond that, in fact, the contribution to the comprehension about the relationships between brain and behavior, can be appreciate with the measurement about intelligence’s level in many situations that characterize like memory’s deficit, language and others. In the field of the neuropsychology, the interest of Weschler’s scale doesn’t limit only to a normative interpretation based on psychometrics procedures, perhaps with an point of view based on an interpretation supported in a neuropsychology theory valid that support the inferences make it Therefore, in this paper, we propose an initial framework for the analysis of EEG signals of people in this group. The design elements for the generation of natural user interfaces that can be incorporated into virtual reality environments are presented to be support for therapies in children with ADHD. The phases of the proposed model include the identification of the needs of the user and experts in terms of ADHD, the identification of the capacities of the user, and the evaluations of the experts involved. Besides, design guidelines are presented as a guide for the correct definition of natural user interfaces for therapy tasks within ADHD. Also, the elements for the generation of virtual reality environments and the platforms and interaction systems available that allow the use of this type of interfaces are identified, in which the proposed natural user interfaces can be incorporated. A case study is presented in which natural interfaces, user tasks are proposed, and technological platforms are identified to be incorporated into virtual reality environments for children with ADHD who receive therapy in a health institution in Mexico. This research allows us to conclude that natural interfaces in virtual reality environments can be a support for therapies in children with ADHD.","PeriodicalId":244692,"journal":{"name":"2020 3rd International Conference of Inclusive Technology and Education (CONTIE)","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121643949","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents a development model for accessible software in early stages of planning, called Shift Left a11y and its articulation in the software life cycle using the Scrum methodology.The phases of the Shift Left a11y model are composed of: a) Sprint, the central nucleus of the model that must include the capture of accessibility requirements as a natural part of the process in the analysis task, for this, the requirements are worked following the guidelines of WCAG 2.1 and documentation through use cases; early review of the prototypes, which verifies compliance with accessibility in the first versions of the software; automated review on CI/CD, which allows accessibility to be part of the philosophy and set of operating principles to manage code changes while meeting business requirements with the expected quality; manual and automated review of accessibility in the code, which can be done using tools integrated into the development platform and manual tests that examine aspects that cannot be automatically tested; ultimately, accessibility tests are carried out with people who have a disability condition; b) Deploy, the phase that completes an iteration and in which tests must be carried out in production; c) Next release, the phase in which the cycle ends and starts a subsequent iteration.","PeriodicalId":244692,"journal":{"name":"2020 3rd International Conference of Inclusive Technology and Education (CONTIE)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125770105","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There’s no simple criteria to diagnostic dyslexia and the common tests are extensive, generally a development dyslexia test has many subtest which work together to measure on a specific aspect, the proposal use the model of two dimensions of language and readers disabilities of Bishop and Snowling, which is consistent with their Simple View of Reading framework of Gough and Tummer. The study obtain the sample with children with disorder language preselected and enrolled at public school in order to determine whose will be candidates for a future remedial intervention, once gets the information of every child then analyze correlations between variables is order to enrich a personal model of development; the proposal is a quick test to detect dyslexia and provide data to a system software to formulate a model that detect pattern of disorder of language, continuous measures could help to articulate a model that indicate quantitative and qualitative changes. The findings of this study are very similar to previous research studies on remedial training, in general are positive and show slight tendencies but do not show clear relationships, the evaluation of the test is a solid considering with the brief time of its use.","PeriodicalId":244692,"journal":{"name":"2020 3rd International Conference of Inclusive Technology and Education (CONTIE)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115948802","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, the development of technologies for assistance is a fundamental part to improve the quality of life of people and their inclusion. Statistically, it is known that many people worldwide do not have access to technology for different reasons, such as politics and economics, the environment in which they live, which represents an obstacle to inclusion and therefore, in their development. This article presents the design of a low-cost prototype to detect possible falls, through a device to monitor sudden movements and send alerts, for people with gait disorders, mainly in advanced stages of the disease, since it is considered the moment with the most affectation and when the majority of those who suffer from it are limited to staying at home and where their personal dependence begins.","PeriodicalId":244692,"journal":{"name":"2020 3rd International Conference of Inclusive Technology and Education (CONTIE)","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133034674","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The software (App) connects via Bluetooth the Braille module. In the first module, the teacher trains the blind student; then in the second module, the student plays and learns. The system generates a set of letters or numbers (sequential, random or personalized), then, the system emits a sound of the letter through the speakers of the mobile device (with the Google API or with the recorded voice of the teacher), and the Braille system shows a letter. The blind student must analyze if the letter heard by the audio is the same as represented in the Braille module; if they match then he or she must mark as correct; otherwise, he or she must mark incorrect. The game has been evaluated by two teachers, the first one, teaches students with special abilities, and another one, is a psychologist dedicated to education, both mention that the game-based system would help to teach the braille system to blind people.","PeriodicalId":244692,"journal":{"name":"2020 3rd International Conference of Inclusive Technology and Education (CONTIE)","volume":"348 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125625856","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
