The study utilized 0/1 and real variables by the means of integer linear programming. In line with this, integer linear programming was applied in a bread production plant that produces three brands of bread, such as, medium size (x1), huge size (x2), and small size (x3). The discoveries using 0/1 variable shows that x1 = x2 = x3 = 1 while Z = 80 Naira. Hence, the item mix of bread is optimal, and production can continue. The result obtained utilizing real variable demonstrated that x1 (medium-size bread) = 649, x2 (huge-size bread) = 0, x3 (small-size bread) = 145, Z=18,388 Naira. In this manner the material handling allotment was optimized to obtain a profit of 18,388 Naira. Consequently, the organization should produce more medium-size bread (x1), more small-size bread (x3), and less huge-size bread (x2).","PeriodicalId":244465,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business Strategy and Automation","volume":"6 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115030263","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although games are ‘time wasters', we should acknowledge the one thing that games offer, constant testing, and learning a simple game engages the brain and proves that games are an asset in mental development. Thus, gamification can be used to provide a fun learning environment. In this article, the authors discuss how gamification has been implemented in various applications over the years, people's take on gamification and gamified apps from a survey and interview conducted, and thereafter design a student-oriented gamified study app, Gamesy, that makes use of game elements to improve performance in school and change/improve study habits in a game environment via progressive game design. With this, better performance may be realized in the tertiary education level.","PeriodicalId":244465,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business Strategy and Automation","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114404637","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, most academic discussions and debates in existing literature have limited the discourse of strategy implementation in profit-oriented organisations, particularly in the Nigerian context. Therefore, this study explored the impact of the constructs of organisational strategy and performance of a faith-based organisations. A survey of 297 respondants constitute the population for this study. The research study is descriptive in nature, and it adopted a mixed method research design. A simple regression analysis was utilized for the analysis of the completed questionnaire. Also, thematic analysis was used to analyse the qualitative interview. The result shows that personality of the employees significantly influences member satisfaction. Therefore, this study recommends that faith-based organisations must ensure that their organisations consistently provide training for employees in order accommodate people irrespective of their peculiarities.","PeriodicalId":244465,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business Strategy and Automation","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127149843","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The literature review reveals that there are gaps in theoretical and empirical studies about which specific steps and best practices should be considered in MKIS implementation efforts. Is it intended to synthesize the knowledge and perceptions generated by existing MKIS studies and identify the generic and particular guidelines that can be derived from the existing body of MKIS research. A review of the literature leads the authors to a thematic synthesis that generates five core guidelines for MKIS: (1) developing, implementing, and measuring the effectiveness of the MKIS; (2) how to align the MKIS with organizational strategy and decision-making; (3) leveraging the MKIS resources in internet marketing; (4) generating and applying marketing intelligence; and, finally, (5) leveraging the benefits of the MKIS in terms of accumulating knowledge and marketing intelligence.","PeriodicalId":244465,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business Strategy and Automation","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130568433","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a result, Industry 4.0 is gradually changing the face of many aspects of human endeavour. From manufacturing to construction and business, data analytics, blockchain, and artificial intelligence, among other things, look promising and may bring a paradigm shift within the accounting profession. This may be significantly drawn towards auditing. While technological changes seem rapid, taking giant strides towards revamping the accounting industry via modern kinds of audit evidence and testing, it is important to tread cautiously in the adoption of technology for auditing. This is because even though technological improvements are useful to achieve speed and accuracy in the audit work, they pose challenges of causing loss of jobs, difficulty in tracing errors, and other potential problems. This paper, therefore, looks at some recent technological development in audit work, and why this aspect of the accounting profession may require further research.","PeriodicalId":244465,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business Strategy and Automation","volume":"165 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134183131","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They offer few benefits, no career paths, and, hence, are considered as bad jobs. Conventional wisdom holds that bad jobs are the unavoidable price of low-cost service. However, this research emphasizes that investing in people and processes actually can boost customer experience and decrease costs. The good jobs strategy is a model for investing and empowering front-line employees in service industries and revamping operations to support those employees. The good jobs strategy is an approach to improving productivity and customer satisfaction in service industries. This research works in this direction and develops various frameworks for smooth deployment of the good jobs strategy. The research also formulates financial measurement and evaluation models for calculating benefits of the good jobs strategy and provides diverse illustrations of its successful deployment.","PeriodicalId":244465,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business Strategy and Automation","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114924109","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In a bid to achieve competitive advantage, companies have considered different types of innovation. Each firm establishes its own competitive niche depending on the conditions that allow it to be productive within that specific niche. Process innovations have emerged as some of the key competitive fronts for many firms including the telecommunications industry. This paper focuses on establishing the effect of process innovation on the competitive advantage of the telecommunication industry in Kenya. The study adopted a descriptive research design using a sample size of 26 active telecommunications companies in Kenya. The respondents were mid and top-level managers. The linear regression model showed process innovation statistically affects the competitive advantage of telecommunication companies in Kenya (β = .302t = 4.952, p<.05). The study recommends telecommunication companies to design processes that provide optimum returns and use disruptive technology to design innovative processes.","PeriodicalId":244465,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business Strategy and Automation","volume":"285 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116105501","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
