In response, education systems had to quickly shift to online learning to ensure that students could continue their education. The sudden shift to online learning has resulted in educators having to adapt to the use of technology in education rapidly. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of digital literacy for educators and the need for ongoing training in digital skills. The pandemic has served as an example of emerging, more creative methods of teaching methods, and technology use in education will continue to evolve. Hybrid learning will be critical to delivering realistic educational experiences, and teachers must adapt to become facilitators instead of teachers. The pandemic experience will affect educators’ attitudes towards integrating information and communication technology (ICT) in education, resulting in a rise in the proportion of people who have a favorable opinion of integrating ICT to education. Ongoing training in digital abilities is necessary to gain a viable education. This paper highlights the need for educators to embrace digital literacy and adapt to emerging technologies to provide a quality education in the post-vaccine world.","PeriodicalId":244174,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130835072","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Language learning is a complex and demanding process, and emotions can play a critical role in shaping students’ learning experiences. Therefore, the study adopted a qualitative approach and a Grounded Theory research design to examine the impact of emotions on language learning. Data were collected from ten 11th-grade students through interviews and journals. The findings revealed that emotional experiences significantly influenced the behavior of students during classroom instruction. Students’ motivation was significantly impacted by their emotions, as positive and negative emotions could either activate or deactivate their motivational behavior. Furthermore, the study found that experiencing positive and negative emotions could benefit students as it helped them develop emotional control and improve their language learning. Students who were able to regulate their emotions were better able to manage stress, remain focused, and perform better in their language learning tasks. The study highlighted the importance of understanding emotions in language learning and emphasized the role of epistemic emotions, which refer to emotions that arise during the learning process. By understanding how emotions impact language learning, educators can develop more effective teaching strategies that account for the emotional needs of their students.","PeriodicalId":244174,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"127 7","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134161572","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study applied interpretivist views and was entirely qualitative. The lived experiences of fifteen (15) participants which included 8 girls and 7 boys were also extracted using a homogenous (purposive) sample technique. These were previous Nkeyema secondary school pupils who had completed grade twelve. In-depth interviews and group discussions produced the data, which was then thematically analysed. The findings of this research showed that a number of disablers affected how well pupils performed academically in linear programming. One of them was the travel time required for pupils, as well as the lack of quality teaching and learning tools like textbooks. Furthermore, inefficient teaching methods employed by some teachers, lack of parental support, and pupils’ lack of prior knowledge negatively affected performance in linear programming final examinations. In an effort to address the issues with teaching linear programming in grade twelve, the following suggestions were made: The Ministry of Education should build schools close to neighborhoods to minimise the distance that pupils must travel and also lower absenteeism. In order to ensure that pupils are learning properly, it should also make sure that universities and other educational institutions incorporate linear programming while training new teachers. Also, schools should receive enough funding to purchase instructional materials. Teachers should use learner-centered activities and 21st-century teaching techniques to impart the subject. To encourage pupils to attend class and learn, the government should build more boarding schools and school administration should arrange them meals. The study concluded that pupils in grade twelve performed poorly in linear programming. The lecture method of instruction and the prevalence of disablers in its delivery all led to the pupils’ subpar academic achievement.","PeriodicalId":244174,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132310765","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This was done during the First Quarter of School Year 2022-2023 to the 81 Grade 10 students of Sarrat National High School. 35-item researchers-made test (pretest and posttest) and a motivation checklist were used to gather data. Teaching using traditional lecture-discussion methods was done in both groups but with the addition of QQTIHPRS in the experimental group. Students’ pretest and posttest scores were analyzed using frequency distribution and percentage. The t-test was used to find out if there exists significant difference between the students’ mean scores in the pretest, posttest, and pretest and posttest in both experimental and control groups. The mean was used to analyze data from the students’ motivation checklist. Results showed that both groups have gained significantly higher scores in the posttest than in the pretest. However, the posttest mean score of the experimental group is significantly higher than that of the control group. This implies that the students in the experimental group performed better than those in the control group. It was also found that when QQTIHPRS were utilized in teaching Earth Science, students were actively involved; excited and thrilled; motivated to work, shared their ideas, and established camaraderie and teamwork. These findings show that the use of QQTIHPRS in addition to the usual lecture-discussion method enhanced the performance of students in Earth Science.","PeriodicalId":244174,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122432241","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study employed a descriptive-evaluative research design to ascertain the level of involvement of teachers and parents, as well as the issues and challenges they had encountered while using the Modular Distribution System. The study employed both Quantitative and Qualitative Approaches in data collection and interpretation by anchoring Katz’s Model wherein it implied that the teacher’s role is specific to education, whereas the parents’ role is universal in all aspects of the child’s life. In addition, the Likert Scale was used in this section of the survey questionnaire – checklist, and the researchers provided open-ended questions in the interview guide to answer the research objectives that were answered by 20 (twenty) parents and 20 (twenty) teachers from GAS 11 in Marigondon Senior High School. The result of the study indicated that in terms of providing communication and instruction to the learners, both teachers and parents are cooperative but in terms of struggles and challenges, teachers did more struggle than the parents. Furthermore, the study found a positive relationship between parents and teachers because they both participated in modular-print setup. With this, parents were advised to reduce the act of tolerating their children by shouldering all responsibilities in terms of complying with such academic requirements. Finally, the effectiveness of modular-print setup was possible with proper engagement and contribution from both parents and teachers.","PeriodicalId":244174,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"158 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121051735","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Still, it also has the potential to be fully developed engineering material reinforced structural beams with concrete infill to increase the structural strength of the structures, which is natural aesthetic, and more durable than bamboo alone as structural parts of buildings. This study aims to determine the flexural strength of bamboo with concrete infill as a structural beam subjected to a concentrated load at midspan. The materials used were whole bamboo culms, specifically Dendrocalamus Asper Schultes, Dendrocalamus Merrillianos Elmer, Bambusa Vulgaris Schrad, and Bambusa Blumeana Schultes cut into 600 mm lengths and treated with seawater and seawater with mango polyphenol infilled with concrete. The concrete was cured for 7, 14, 28, and 56 days, respectively. The results showed that the whole bamboo culm treated with seawater and treated with seawater plus a 10 percent solution of mango polyphenol extract remarkably increased its flexural strength. The concrete infill to the whole bamboo culm as the beam is effective, increasing flexural strength when treated with mango polyphenol. The curing age of concrete and treatment of bamboo culm with seawater and mango polyphenol affects the flexural strength of reinforced bamboo with concrete infill subjected to a concentrated load at midspan. Reinforced bamboo concrete infill-based construction materials can reduce pressure on resources and the environment. These materials have environmental and mechanical advantages over conventional construction materials.","PeriodicalId":244174,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"221 4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129891241","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
