This is important because South Africa has over the years crafted good policies but suffers from poor implementation. Scholars, policymakers, non-governmental organisation, and target beneficiaries have advanced various reasons contextualizing the root causes of policy failure in the South African context. Such reasons include but are not restricted to, lack of resources, lack of precision and policy design, incorrect policy instrument, lack of leadership, negligence of relevant actors, and lack of precision and clarity in the implementation stage. This paper discovered that in South Africa, there has been a particular emphasis on the delivery of services with the capacity and capabilities of national, provincial, and local government to advance service delivery, however, challenges have been encountered in the implementation processes. This article concludes that actors of public policy implementation must be seen as formal and have access to ‘implementation structures’ that they can use to advance their own “different interests; values; perceptions and policy preferences during the implementation process. This paper recommends, that the South African government should review the policy implementation strategies with clear contextual considerations to demonstrate the goals. Furthermore, the paper recommends that public policy implementation should be entrusted to suitable government departments that have the necessary administrative capacities.","PeriodicalId":244174,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132868331","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A stratified random sampling technique was used, which included 315 teachers as respondents. Through non-experimental quantitative mediation analysis utilizing path analysis, validated questionnaire, mean, regression techniques, and Pearson r, results showed significant relationships between transformational leadership of school heads and self-efficacy of teachers. There was no mediation on the impact of teachers’ trust on the connection between transformational leadership and teachers’ self-efficacy in public school teachers. Thus, teachers’ trust is not one of the causes why transformational leadership of school heads can influence teachers’ trust in public school teachers. It cannot account for the relationship between the two variables.","PeriodicalId":244174,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127823812","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Police legitimacy is established by the people’s trust in them and the people’s satisfaction in the way they perform their duties. This study surveyed and correlated the community people’s trust and satisfaction in the police’s performance of their duties. There were 2,381 respondents from the different provinces of the Cordillera Administrative Region, Philippines, who participated in the survey. The respondents moderately trust the police and were much satisfied with the way they performed their duties. Age group makes a significant difference in the extent of trust, while gender and age group make a significant difference in the respondents’extent of satisfaction. Pearson’s r (r=.090) shows there is a weak correlation between the trust of the people to the police and their extent of satisfaction on the way the police performed their duties. It is concluded that trust and satisfaction are independent of each other insofar as police legitimacy is concerned. The police should therefore work on improving their image and demonstrating competence inperforming their duties so that the people will cooperate with them and appreciate what they are doing.","PeriodicalId":244174,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116142007","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Literature was provided to support the study. Action research design was used in the study. A sample size of fifty (50) pupils was drawn from the entire school population for data gathering purposes. The instruments employed for the study were tests and observation while data were analyzed using frequency tables. The study revealed that lack of participatory activity in the classrooms, lack of pre-reading skills, absenteeism, and others were the causes of the pupils’ inability to read. The study further revealed that using an eclectic approach improves pupils’ performance in class. It became known that most of the pupils were now interested in reading comprehension passages very well because the lessons adopted the interactive activity-based approach. A number of recommendations were made to assist stakeholders of the school to make good use of this current study to improve upon their performance.","PeriodicalId":244174,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121325989","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this study is to determine the modular and online learning satisfaction in mathematics of the student- respondents, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. A descriptive cross-sectional research design was employed to provide a snapshot of the two hundred forty-six (246) junior and senior high student- respondents’ modular and online learning satisfaction in mathematics, along with the measured parameters. Based on the results, the respondents indicated that they were satisfied with the implemented modular learning in mathematics during the pandemic. On the online learning aspect, the respondents expressed a moderate level of satisfaction with their online learning experience. Educational institutions must innovate and keep up with the new normal teaching practices to ensure that the quality of education is sustained over time. Recommendations were also provided to assist the entire academic community in understanding how students approach the mathematics subject in the modular and online learning contexts.","PeriodicalId":244174,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121986083","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence, this study was conducted to determine the effect of these two factors, namely, parental roles and learners’ attitudes, on Mathematics performance. Employing the descriptive-correlational research design, 328 Grade 6 learners and their parents randomly selected from all the public elementary schools in the Schools Division of Laoag City served as respondents. Data were obtained using self-perception survey instruments and were analyzed using frequency counts, percentages, mean, Pearson’s r, and multiple linear regression analysis. Results revealed that parents highly practiced their parental roles as a motivator, resource provider, monitor, mathematics content advisor, and mathematics learning counselor. Also, learners had highly favorable attitudes towards Mathematics along with confidence, enjoyment, and benefit/value but moderately favorable along with anxiety. Moreover, they performed very satisfactorily in the subject. This study also showed that family income is not a factor in the extent of practices of the parental roles, but the number of children does, especially as a motivator. Also, learners’ attitudes towards Mathematics are significantly affected by the extent of practices of parental roles. In addition, learners’ performance is significantly affected by their attitudes towards the subject. Finally, Mathematics performance can be predicted through attitudes towards the subject along with enjoyment, anxiety, and confidence, together with the extent of practice as a Mathematics learning counselor with an explained variance of 20.80 %. Findings confirm the existing literature about the impact of parental roles and learners’ attitudes on the learning process. Hence, the educational system could create programs and activities that foster and nourish high parents’ participation and positive learners’ attitudes for a better Mathematics performance","PeriodicalId":244174,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114507512","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
