Walau bagaimanapun, sejak pengajaran dan pembelajaran dari rumah (PdPr) diperkenalkan, guru menghadapi masalah untuk melaksanakan PBD dengan berkesan. Kajian ini dijalankan untuk meneroka dan memahami cara pemimpin pertengahan memainkan peranan sebagai seorang pemimpin instruksional dan seterusnya membangunkan guru-guru di sekolah untuk memastikan guru-guru dapat melaksanakan PBD dengan berkesan dengan penggunaan teknologi. Seramai lapan orang Guru Kanan Mata Pelajaran (GKMP) telah dipilih untuk menjadi peserta kajian ini. Data telah dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan temu bual separa struktur dan analisis dokumen. Data telah dianalisis berdasarkan tema-tema yang telah dikenalpasti. Melalui kajian ini didapati GKMP telah menjalankan pemantauan dan pencerapan bilik darjah sepanjang tempoh PdP. Data pencerapan mendapati guru-guru melaksanakan PBD sepanjang PdPr namun pelaksanaannya kurang bersifat pengintegrasian. Oleh itu, GKMP telah menjalankan program-program pembangunan kapasiti guru yang membantu guru mengintegrasikan PBD ke dalam PdPr dengan menggunakan teknolgi. GKMP haruslah mempunyai pendedahan dalam teknologi untuk membantu guru menggunakan teknolgi dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Dicadangkan kajian lanjut dijalankan untuk melihat cara guru-guru yang mendapat pendedahan tentang teknolgi ini melaksanakan PBD secara alam maya.\u0000 \u0000The introduction of PBD is intended to ensure that a student's learning development can be measured continuously. However, since the introduction of home teaching and learning (PdPr), teachers have faced problems to implement PBD effectively. This study was conducted to explore and understand how middle leaders play a role as an instructional leader and further develop teachers in schools to ensure that teachers can implement PBD effectively with the use of technology. A total of eight Senior Subject Teachers (GKMP) were selected to be participants in this study. Data were collected using semi -structured interviews and document analysis. Data were analyzed based on the themes that had been identified. Through this study, it is found that GKMP has conducted classroom monitoring and observation during the PdPr period. Observational data found that teachers implement PBD throughout PdPr but its implementation is less integrated. Therefore, GKMP has conducted teacher capacity building programs that help teachers integrate PBD into PdPr by using technology. GKMP should have exposure in technology to help teachers use technology in teaching and learning. It was not long before the education system was forced to adapt the unconventional method of leaning to outlast the pandemic. Rushing, even in good intention, comes with myriad of the issues and the concern of the effectivity of SBA in this new environment is not excused. With student focused education principles rooted in the education system, to being virtually available in a virtual classroom is a challenge to both to the teachers and students. To enforce discipline and to engage individual student in of itself is not an easy task let alone when both parties separated by miles away. Thus, this paper will cast an overview the effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic to the Malaysian education system, issues related to online assessment in the Malaysia education system during pandemic and assessment practices, challenges and solution during pandemic by other countries.\u0000 \u0000Pentaksiran Berasaskan Sekolah (PBS) adalah konsep penilaian yang digunapakai oleh guru-guru dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran bagi mengoptimumkan pemahaman pelajar terhadap sesuatu subjek yang mereka pelajari. Disiplin yang melibatkan pelajar dalam pembelajaran bukanlah tugas yang mudah, apatah lagi ketika kedua-dua pihak dipisahkan dengan jarak. Oleh itu, artikel ini akan menjelaskan kesan Pandemik COVID-19 terhadap sistem pendidikan Malaysia, isu-isu yang berkaitan dengan penilaian dalam talian dalam sistem pendidikan Malaysia semasa pandemik dan amalan penilaian, cabaran dan penyelesaian semasa pandemik yang dilaksanakan oleh negara lain. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah kualitatif, melalui tinjauan dokumen secara khusus mengenai kajian masa terdahulu dari tahun 2019 hingga 2021. Kajian terdahulu menunjukkan bahawa semasa pandemik e-Pembelajaran banyak dipraktikan, dan PBS menggantikan peperiksaan formal. Selain itu, keperluan untuk alat teknologi dan sambungan internet menjadi isu yang tidak pernah berakhir dalam kalangan pelajar. Walau bagaimanapun, beberapa negara telah mempraktikkan penilaian dalam talian untuk menggantikan amalan penilaian formal di dalam kelas. Despite their excellent academic results, English language skills are still required by most employers and these are one of the qualifications the employers look for. Realizing the importance of English language proficiency among graduates-to-be, the present study was conducted with the aims to investigate if the graduates-to-be of UiTM, Cawangan Pulau Pinang feel motivated to learn English for their employability and to examine if they also feel motivated to learn the language for future work use. A questionnaire was distributed randomly to UiTM, Cawangan Pulau Pinang degree students using convenience sampling method and 103 respondents returned it with no missing data. The results showed that most of the respondents believe that they feel motivated to learn English in order to secure good jobs and subsequently for work purposes after getting the jobs. For example, 47.6% of the respondents (M= 4.36, SD= 0.712) agreed that excellent English skills will guarantee them a better job opportunity, while 63.1% of the respondents (M= 4.23, SD= 0.629) admitted that learning English will help them to easily adapt themselves when entering the working world. Thus, it is evident that learning English and having linguistic competence and excellent performance in this language will benefit graduates-to-be.\u0000 \u0000Sering menjadi kebimbangan dalam kalangan bakal graduan dan graduan baru sama ada mereka akan mendapat pekerjaan impian mereka selepas tamat pengajian. Walaupun mempunyai keputusan akademik yang baik, kemahiran Bahasa Inggeris masih diperlukan oleh kebanyakan majikan dan ini adalah salah satu kelayakan yang dicari oleh majikan. Menyedari betapa pentingnya penguasaan Bahasa Inggeris di kalangan calon siswazah, kajian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menyiasat apakah bakal graduan UiTM, Cawangan Pulau Pinang merasa bermotivasi untuk belajar bahasa Inggeris untuk pekerjaan mereka dan untuk memeriksa apakah mereka juga merasa terdorong untuk belajar bahasa untuk kegunaan kerja masa depan. Borang soal selidik diedarkan secara rawak kepada pelajar peringkat ijazah UiTM, Cawangan Pulau Pinang menggunakan kaedah persampelan mudah (convenience sampling) dan 103 responden mengembalikannya tanpa ada data yang hilang. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa kebanyakan responden percaya bahawa mereka merasa terdorong untuk belajar Bahasa Inggeris untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan yang baik dan seterusnya untuk tujuan kerja-kerja setelah mendapat pekerjaan tersebut. Matlamat utama kajian ini adalah untuk mengenal pasti bentuk-bentuk penglibatan dan sumbangan NGO kemanusiaan Malaysia dalam isu kemanusiaan Palestin. Berasaskan pendekatan kualitatif, kajian telah menjalankan temu bual mendalam bersama tiga pegawai NGO Aman Palestin. Pemilihan NGO ini adalah berdasarkan bantuannya yang mengkhususkan kepada Palestin dan penglibatan secara aktif sejak penubuhan organisasi tersebut. Penemuan kajian telah menunjukkan terdapat pelbagai bentuk sumbangan bantuan kemanusiaan Aman Palestin menerusi projek yang melibatkan sektor ekonomi, pendidikan, sosial, kesihatan, pertanian dan insfratruktur telah menyumbang kelestarian hidup rakyat di sana. Penglibatan aktif melalui aktiviti-aktiviti yang dijalankan di Malaysia telah mempertingkatkan kesedaran mengenai isu Palestin dalam kalangan masyarakat Malaysia. Walau bagaimanapun, projek dan aktiviti Aman Palestin dilihat lebih bersifat islamisasi yang mensasarkan golongan beragama Islam sahaja. Isu Palestin perlu diangkat sebagai isu kemanusiaan bukan agama semata-mata supaya semua lapisan masyarakat tanpa mengira latar belakang agama dapat berganding bahu dalam membantah penjajahan Israel.\u0000 \u0000The presence of various NGOs carrying out humanitarian aid activities for Palestinian due to occupation and oppression concurrently the silence between superpowers and the limited role of the Palestinian National Authority. The purpose of this study is to identify the forms of involvement and contribution of Malaysian humanitarian NGOs in Palestinian humanitarian issues. Based on a qualitative approach, the study conducted in-depth interviews with three Aman Palestin officials. The selection of this NGO was based on specialized assistance to Palestine and its active involvement since the organization’s establishment. The findings have shown there are various humanitarian aid projects conducted by Aman Palestin involving the economic, educational, social, health, agricultural, and infrastructure sectors. Indubitably, the projects have contributed to the sustainability of the Palestinians’ lives. Active involvement through activities conducted in Malaysia has increased awareness of the Palestinian issue among the Malaysian community. However, Aman Palestin projects and activities are seen to be more religious in nature targeting Muslims solely. Wangah. Beliau adalah ulama dari Fatani dan lebih dikenali sebagai Baba Dir atau Ayah Dir Sekam dalam kalangan penuntut ilmu dan anak-anak murid beliau. Dalam Risalah Manhaj Ahl al-Sunnah, Baba Dir mengetengahkan pegangan ulama salaf dan khalaf apabila berdiskusi dan memahami ayat-ayat mutashābihāt terutamanya yang berkaitan dengan zat dan sifat Allah. Beliau membangkitkan kekeliruan yang timbul dalam kalangan masyarakat mengenai pentafsiran ayat-ayat mutashābihāt dalam risalah beliau ini. Oleh itu, makalah ini membincangkan mengenai kaedah-kaedah yang digunakan oleh ulama pada zaman Nabi Muhammad SAW dan selepasnya dalam mentafsir dan memahami ayat mutashābihāt. Selepas Islam mula berkembang di serata dunia, percampuran budaya mula berlaku dan ramai manusia yang bukan Arab mula memeluk Islam. Disebabkan itu, munculnya fahaman-fahaman, pentafsiran yang meragukan dan bertentangan dengan sifat Allah yang suci, yang menyamakan sifat Allah dengan sifat makhluk. Kelompok yang ekstrem seperti mujassimah, mushabbihah dan mucaṭṭilah mempunyai fahaman yang jauh tersasar daripada landasan yang sepatutnya. Oleh itu, masyarakat awam memerlukan bimbingan dan pentafsiran daripada ulama Ahl al-Sunnah untuk menangkis tafsiran mereka yang salah ini. Sekali gus, ini dilakukan untuk membetulkan fahaman masyarakat awam tentang ayat yang selalu dikelirukan maknanya ini. Makalah ini menggunakan kaedah kualitatif, yang secara spesifiknya menggunakan kaedah analisis kandungan, ke atas kitab Risalah Manhaj Ahl al-Sunnah. Hasil dapatan daripada kajian ini mendapati ulama Ahl al-Sunnah wa Jama’ah menggunakan kaedah ta’wīl dan tafwīḍ sebagai cara untuk memahami ayat-ayat mutashābihāt. Kaedah ulama Salaf dan Khalaf ini adalah kaedah yang sederhana berbanding pelbagai kaedah yang wujud dalam membincangkan ayat-ayat sifat yang terdapat dalam al-Quran dan al-Sunnah.\u0000 \u0000This article is about Risalah Manhaj Ahl al-Sunnah, a theology book written by Abdul Qadir bin Hj. Wangah, a Fathani’s scholar. He was well known as Baba Dir or Ayah Dir Sekam among his students. In this book, Baba Dir highlights the manner of the Salaf and Khalaf scholars in discussing and understanding the verses of mutashābihāt especially those related to the Essence and Attributes of Allah SWT. He brought up few confusions that arose among the society regarding the interpretation of mutashābihāt verses. This article discussing on methodologies that were used by Salaf and Khalaf in interpret and understand the verses. These issues arose because of the expanding Islam around the globe and many non-Arabs tribes embrace Islam. Consequently, arose many misinterpretations and extremes schools which compares Allah with His creations. Video games can be efficient tools and useful resources for language learning. Considering this possibility, it is vital for the issue of learning a language, particularly English via playing video games to be investigated. The topic of video games and language learning is examined from the perspective of how such games can inspire players to learn English grammar, improve their English vocabulary and practice English communication. For data collection of the present study, 100 Universiti Teknologi MARA, Cawangan Pulau Pinang (UiTMCPP) students participated in the questionnaire survey. It was discovered that 84% of the respondents agreed that they feel motivated to improve their English grammar when they do not understand the storylines of the video games, perhaps because they need to know the grammar in order to understand the storylines in the games. 88% of them feel very motivated to learn new English vocabulary that they find in video games. Clearly, playing video games can contribute to positive effects on the students’ English language learning. The results of this study can support the objectives of this research pertaining to language learning through games. Most respondents apparently have positive perception towards video games as reliable sources of motivation in learning, improving and practicing English. Also, they seem to have positive experiences in learning and improving their English in the contexts of autonomous learning and social interactions while playing video games.\u0000 \u0000Memandangkan teknologi telah menjadi berleluasa dalam kehidupan kebanyakan orang pada masa kini, bermain permainan video tidak dapat dinafikan dianggap sebagai aktiviti yang digemari. Permainan video boleh menjadi alat yang cekap dan sumber berguna untuk pembelajaran bahasa. Berdasarkan kemungkinan ini, isu pembelajaran bahasa, terutamanya bahasa Inggeris dengan bermain permainan video adalah penting untuk diterokai. Topik permainan video dan pembelajaran bahasa dikaji dari perspektif bagaimana permainan sebegini boleh memberi inspirasi kepada pemain untuk mempelajari tatabahasa bahasa Inggeris, meningkatkan perbendaharaan kata bahasa Inggeris mereka dan mempraktikkan komunikasi bahasa Inggeris. Untuk pengumpulan data kajian ini, 100 pelajar Universiti Teknologi MARA, Cawangan Pulau Pinang (UiTMCPP) telah mengambil bahagian dalam tinjauan soal selidik. Namun begitu, peningkatan isu kesihatan mental dalam kalangan masyarakat di Malaysia pada hari ini berada pada tahap yang membimbangkan. Tambahan pula, penyebaran wabak pandemik Covid-19 pada tahun 2019 telah mengubah kehidupan normal manusia sekaligus berpotensi menjadi faktor yang mempengaruhi kesihatan mental terutamanya dalam kalangan masyarakat di negara ini. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk melihat tema kajian dan perbincangan tentang isu kesihatan mental di Malaysia semasa wabak Covid-19. Kajian systematic literature review (SLR) ini dijalankan dengan menggunakan artikel bermula daripada tahun 2019-2021 daripada tiga pangkalan data iaitu Researchgate, Google Scholar dan Science Direct. Artikel yang telah dikumpul kemudian diteliti bagi memastikan artikel yang dipilih menepati fokus kajian. Sebanyak 24 daripada 81 artikel telah dipilih untuk dibincangkan dalam kajian ini. Secara keseluruhannya, kajian menunjukkan bahawa terdapat empat tema yang boleh diklasifikasikan berkenaan tema kajian lepas tentang isu kesihatan mental di Malaysia. Tema tersebut ialah; 1) rawatan kesihatan mental, 2) kesihatan mental dan pandemik, 3) kesihatan mental dan faktor demografi dan 4) kesihatan mental dan pendidikan. Oleh yang demikian, terdapat keperluan kajian yang menyeluruh seperti kajian mengenai pembangunan model islamik daya tindak keluarga dalam menangani gejala kesihatan mental agar masalah kesihatan mental dapat dikenalpasti dan tindakan segera dapat diambil.\u0000ABSTRACT: Mental health can affect a person’s physical health, quality of life and productivity. However, the increase of mental health issues among the community in Malaysia today is at an alarming level. Furthermore, the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2019 has changed the normal lives of human beings and has the potential to be a factor influencing mental health, especially among the people in this country. This study aims to look at the themes of the study and discussion of mental health issues in Malaysia during the Covid-19 outbreak. This systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted using articles starting from 2019-2021 as of three databases namely Researchgate, Google Scholar and Science Direct. The articles that have been collected are then scrutinized to ensure that the selected articles fit the focus of the study. A total of 24 out of 81 articles were selected for discussion in this study. Overall, the study shows that there are four themes that can be classified with respect to the themes of previous studies on mental health issues in Malaysia. The themes are; 1) mental health treatment, 2) mental health and pandemics, 3) mental health and demographic factors and 4) mental health and education. Budaya pembelian secara atas talian yang semakin popular dalam kalangan pengguna, menjadikan fokus para peniaga mula teralih kepada menjalankan perniagaan melalui platform digital. Bagi mengimbangi kehendak semasa dalam bidang keusahawanan, kebanyakan institut pengajian tinggi mula membuat perubahan terhadap kursus-kursus pengajian supaya merangkumi aspek keusahawanan. Perubahan ini diharapkan dapat mengubah persepsi, minat dan memberi galakan kepada para pelajar untuk menjadikan bidang keusahawanan sebagai salah satu kerjaya selepas menamatkan pengajian. Walaupun begitu, masih lagi wujud stigma tentang kerugian kepada para graduan bukan bidang keusahawanan yang menyertai bidang keusahawanan selepas tamat pengajian dan persepsi ketidakmampuan graduan untuk menyertai bidang keusahawan akibat kekurangan pengetahuan berkait keusahawanan semasa mengikuti kursus pengajian masing-masing. Oleh yang demikian, kajian ini akan merungkai kesan pembelajaran kursus pengajian yang ditawarkan di ACIS dalam memberikan keyakinan kepada para pelajar untuk menyertai bidang keusahawanan. Kajian ini akan menggunapakai kaedah kuantitatif melalui soal selidik kepada sejumlah pelajar yang sedang mengikuti pengajian di ACIS. Hasil soal selidik dianalisis menggunakan kaedah SPSS bagi menjawab objektif kajian. Hasil kajian mendapati wujud sikap dan minat yang positif dalam kalangan pelajar untuk menyertai bidang keusahawanan serta pelajar percaya bahawa kursus pengajian yang telah mereka ikuti memberi pengetahuan dan keyakinan untuk menceburi bidang keusahawanan. Justeru, kajian ini diharap dapat membantu pelbagai pihak untuk meletakkan aspek keusahawanan sebagai elemen penting dalam struktur pengajian. \u0000 \u0000The involvement and attractiveness of entrepreneurship are increasing due to technological advances that also positively impact the business world through digital platforms such as Alibaba, Shopee, Lazada, and so on. An increasingly popular online purchasing culture among consumers, making the focus of traders began to flower business through digital platforms. To offset the current needs of entrepreneurship, most institutes of higher learning began to make changes to courses for entrepreneurship. {"title":"Diagnosis of Jinn Possession Amongst Patients with Mental Disorders using Thermal Imaging","authors":"H. A. A previous quantitative study had identified symptoms of jinn possession. It shows that there are overlapping symptoms between jinn possession and mental disorders, leading to different diagnoses. An exploratory study was done to investigate the possibility of jinn possession amongst patients who have already been diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and epilepsy using four case studies. All the patients have at least five significant symptoms of jinn possession and were on medication for their respective mental disorders. Thermal images of the patients were recorded using a thermal imaging camera to monitor temperature change before and after ruqyah. The thermal images before and after ruqyah were compared, and it was observed that parts of the body temperature for all four patients became hotter after ruqyah, indicating that all of them have jinn possession. This reaction to ruqyah is considered as a sign of jinn possession by ruqyah practitioners. It is possible that some of those who have been diagnosed with mental disorders may also have an underlying jinn possession issue. Using ruqyah as a complementary therapy on this category of patients may bring better therapeutic benefits. Further studies need to be conducted to identify the extent of jinn possession amongst those with mental disorders. The symptoms of jinn possession can be used as a guide for identifying possible cases of jinn possession amongst those with mental disorders. \u0000 \u0000Kepercayaan wujudnya posesi jin adalah sebahagian dari aqidah Islam. Satu kajian kuantitatif telah mengenalpasti simptom-simptom posesi jin. Ia menunjukkan ada pertindihan simptom di antara posesi jin dan kecelaruan mental dan seterusnya menimbulkan diagnosis yang berbeza. Satu kajian rintis telah dijalankan untuk mengkaji kemungkinan adanya posesi jin di kalangan pesakit yang telah didiagnosis mengalami skizofrenia, kecelaruan bipolar dan epilepsi menggunakan empat kajian kes. Kesemua pesakit mempunyai sekurang-kurangnya lima simptom posesi jin yang signifikan dan mengambil ubat-ubatan untuk kecelaruan mental masing-masing. Imej termal pesakit diambil menggunakan kamera pengimejan termal untuk memantau perubahan suhu sebelum dan selepas ruqyah. Imej termal sebelum dan selepas ruqyah dibandingkan dan didapati sebahagian tubuh kesemua empat pesakit menjadi panas selepas ruqyah, satu indikasi bahawa kesemua mereka mengalami posesi jin. Reaksi terhadap ruqyah sebegini dianggap sebagai tanda posesi jin oleh perawat ruqyah. Ada kemungkinan separuh pesakit yang telah didiagnosis dengan kecelaruan mental mungkin mengalami posesi jin. Menggunakan ruqyah sebagai terapi komplementari ke atas kategori pesakit sebegini boleh menghasilkan faedah teraputik yang lebih tinggi. Justeru, artikel ini membincangkan aspek yang dapat diteladani oleh usahawan asnaf berpandukan perjalanan sirah Nabi Muhammad SAW sebagai peniaga dan pedagang yang berjaya. The capital assistance received by zakat institutions enables them to engage in business, at the same time aiming them later to transform into producers of zakat. Thus, this article discusses the aspects that can be emulated by asnaf entrepreneurs based on the historical journey of the Prophet Muhammad SAW as a successful trader.
