This study looked at the current status of the project for workers with disabilities and suggested ways to activation strategy of the project. The result of research is as follow. \u0000The majority of the project participants used the project through the recommendation of the managers of KEAD. However, it was found that VRFs did not participate in the project due to lack of understanding of the project. The main reason for participating the project is that the participants can receive the training allowance able to compensate for the lack of wages and also it helps providing job search opportunities and moving to a job that guarantees the minimum wages. When looking at the degree of satisfaction with the conversion support project, the majority of participating companies and users were satisfied with the project and program, and the satisfaction and effectiveness of the conversion support project participation program were also high. Based on the results of this study, we suggested activation strategies of the labor market transition support project for workers with disabilities in VRFs.","PeriodicalId":239249,"journal":{"name":"Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124661562","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Twenty-one studies published in domestic and foreign academic journals were identified and analyzed. Differences were found based on the academic background of the researchers and the playing technique used. However, the activities for improving upper extremity function and the types of musical instruments employed shared a number of general characteristics. Music intervention studies in Korea were conducted mainly in the field of music therapy, while music intervention studies in other countries were conducted mainly in the medical field. Outcomes differed depending on whether the functional goals of the instrument playing involved gross motor or fine motor movement. Further research is necessary to expand the scope of instrument playing and the use of musical instruments in music interventions for upper extremity rehabilitation.","PeriodicalId":239249,"journal":{"name":"Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114849969","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our findings can be summarized as follows. Firstly, we found statistical differences in the level of developmental disability and disaster safety across gender, age, self-reported income percentiles, and education. Meanwhile, the difference in life satisfaction was only found in age, reported income percentiles, and education. We also found that men and those between the ages of 30 and 40 were more likely to have a positive view of disaster safety. While those that were self-reported to be part of the upper-income percentile have a more positive view of disaster safety. Meanwhile, the level of education was positively correlated with disaster safety. Secondly, we found that the level of developmental disability has a statistically significant association with life satisfaction. That is, a lower level of developmental disability suggested a higher level of life satisfaction. Thus, both the level of developmental disability and disaster safety had a positive association with life satisfaction. We also found that the low level of developmental disability is positively correlated with disaster safety and that disaster safety is positively correlated with life satisfaction. Meanwhile, the relative effect of disaster safety on life satisfaction was higher than that of the level of developmental disability. Thirdly, we found that the level of developmental disability has a direct effect on life satisfaction and that disaster safety mediates its effect on life satisfaction. That is, those that were reported to have high disaster safety tend to have higher life satisfaction. \u0000Our findings provided a few implications regarding the disaster safety of persons with a developmental disability.","PeriodicalId":239249,"journal":{"name":"Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125186081","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Focus Group Interview were conducted with 12 participants (6 adolescences, and 6 adults). Paying attention to within-group variation, this study focused analyzing the aural rehabilitation process. 5 themes, 11 sub-themes, and 28 concepts were derived using thematic analysis. As a result of the theme group, five themes were derived: “Started rehabilitation with other’s decision,” “Facing deaf and hard-of-hearing with assistive devices,” “Walking through a dark tunnel called rehabilitation,” “Choose my own way to communicate with the world,” and “Be flexible in accepting and coping with rehabilitation,” and finally, the aural rehabilitation experience recognized by the deaf and hard-of-hearing parties was found to be “To face disability through involuntary rehabilitation process and to have voluntary will to accept and cope with rehabilitation in their own way.” Based on this, implications for rehabilitation methods and alternatives for the deaf and hard-of-hearing people and their families were derived. \u0000","PeriodicalId":239249,"journal":{"name":"Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124154580","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Especially due to the nature of Korean language, it takes a long time to build a semantic relation since there are a lot of semantically-overlapping words, particularly more in verbs and adjectives than nouns. And this difference depending on word classes could be a distinctive factor to identify cognitive function problems in the elderly. In this regard, this study aims to find out distinctive performance characteristics observed in the subject groups with subjective memory impairment and mild cognitive impairment, by designing multiple-choice word association tasks by word classes. As a result of the study, it was found that the performance of the mild cognitive impairment group had lower accuracy and reaction time than the normal group, and their error frequency by error types also showed significant difference. The subjective memory impairment group showed a significant increase in reaction time, compare to the normal group. To sum up, the quantity and/or quality of semantic knowledge processing could decline even at the stage of suffering from subjective cognitive problems, and particularly this problem could appear more obviously in the speed of semantic knowledge processing. Therefore, associative processing ability is anticipated to be used as a valuable data in future assessments to identify subjective and/or objective memory problems at an early stage. \u0000","PeriodicalId":239249,"journal":{"name":"Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities","volume":"137 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127374667","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A group comparison study was conducted between the elderly and young adults since that the above process would be different for these two age groups of the physically handicapped. The subjects of analysis were 1232 adults with physical disabilities, which were extracted from the respondents of the 2020 Information Gap Survey. First, according to the structural equation model analysis, the bridging social capital of adults with disabilities was directly affected by their Internet use ability and digital assistance, but also indirectly affected through the use of mobile information. The multi-group comparison model analysis revealed that the effect of digital assistance on the use of mobile information and the effect of the Internet use ability on bridging social capital were significantly greater for the elderly thatn for the young. These results suggest that informatization education for the physically disabled should consider the characteristics of the elderly with disabilities. This study emphasizes the need to help the local community digitally to promote the use of mobile information by people with physical disabilities, while considering strategies that can enhance the bridging social capital of the elderly with physical disabilities. \u0000","PeriodicalId":239249,"journal":{"name":"Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities","volume":"2006 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125828770","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, due to the social exclusion experienced by the disabled, social conditions for marriage have not been sufficiently provided. There have been few domestic empirical studies on the marriage life of the disabled, and no study has been conducted from the perspective of social exclusion. Therefore, this study analyzed the data of the 2020 Survey on the Status of Persons with Disabilities (N=4,650) using the Hekman two-stage model. The results show that, the factors statistically associated with the possibility of marriage include the degree of need for help(-), owned house(+), beneficiary(-), subjective economic status(+), and the number of years of education(+). Factors related to marital satisfaction include the degree of need for help (-), housing satisfaction (+) and participation in economic activities (+). In particular, the degree of need for help due to disability was found to be significantly related to marital status and marital satisfaction, suggesting the need for help support in the marriage of disabled people. Based on these findings, the implications of lowering social exclusion related to the marital status and marital satisfaction of the disabled were discussed. \u0000","PeriodicalId":239249,"journal":{"name":"Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126678869","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To this end, in this study, a qualiative content analysis method was used for various documents and the contents of an open questionnaire targeting participants. The results of study are as follows. Participating students recognized the university as one of the transitional education courses to go out into society and as a space for leisure activities and culture. It gave an opportunity to gain confidence. Through the experience program, the educational support personnel learned how to communicate with the participating students and formed a relationship. Through this, it was an opportunity to understand disability, find their own growth and the meaning of life, and strengthen their future vocational competency. Parents and teachers expected students to have experiences that could help them adapt to university life, and it was found that these expectations were met to some extent in the experience program. A phenomenological qualitative research method was used to recognize the social position and role at the time of transition from part-time to paid full-time center director and to confirm the experience of performing one's duties. The study participants used sign language, and the study was conducted through in-depth interviews with intentional sampling of four center directors who had long worked at the center. As a result of data analysis, 14 revealed topics and 4 essential topics were derived through 33 semantic units excluding overlapping or out of context out of 299 semantic units for their job experience. The essential themes were ‘starting with the life of the deaf’, ‘doing my best in the job of the center director’, ‘not an easy path’, and ‘having hope’.
