Abstract
The labor market transition support project for workers with disabilities is to solve the problem of low wages of workers with disabilities and to support them for transition from vocational rehabilitation facilities(VRF) to other workplace with better working condition, since 2020. This study looked at the current status of the project for workers with disabilities and suggested ways to activation strategy of the project. The result of research is as follow.
The majority of the project participants used the project through the recommendation of the managers of KEAD. However, it was found that VRFs did not participate in the project due to lack of understanding of the project. The main reason for participating the project is that the participants can receive the training allowance able to compensate for the lack of wages and also it helps providing job search opportunities and moving to a job that guarantees the minimum wages. When looking at the degree of satisfaction with the conversion support project, the majority of participating companies and users were satisfied with the project and program, and the satisfaction and effectiveness of the conversion support project participation program were also high. Based on the results of this study, we suggested activation strategies of the labor market transition support project for workers with disabilities in VRFs.
