To achieve this research purpose, in-depth interviews were conducted with six deaf people who had received at least 10 psychological counseling sessions at a deaf welfare institution and analyzed using Giorgi's phenomenological research 5-step analysis method. \u0000In this study, the essential meaning of psychological counseling experienced by the deaf is that the hearing impaired perceive the differences and conflicts they experience as a minority in society as natural. This suggests a new perspective on problems while experiencing the decisive moment between the counselor, oneself, and third-party assistants who form a triangular alliance with an open mind that is not held back by communication barriers and prejudices. Psychological counseling for the deaf is a place where they can practice, and through small changes in counseling, they decide between two options at the end of counseling. \u0000This study found commonalities in the concrete and actual experiences of deaf people through psychological counseling at a psychological counseling site for deaf, which lacks study data. Therefore, it is expected that the results of this study can be used as data that can assist deaf clients with deaf psychological counseling.","PeriodicalId":239249,"journal":{"name":"Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127913342","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A total of 142 people, involved in lifelong educational institutions for persons with disabilities, participated in this study, and it consisted of 53 people working in lifelong education institutions and 89 people working in welfare institutions for persons with disabilities. The main findings of the survey conducted on them are as follows. First, the officials of lifelong education institutions for persons with disabilities conducted program evaluation mainly for the purpose of finding out the satisfaction level of learners. Accordingly, the program satisfaction evaluation method was used the most, and the respondents responded that the program evaluation was performed using an in-house developed evaluation tool at the affiliated institution and used as data for internal reporting of the institution. Secondly, the officials of lifelong education institutions for persons with disabilities recognized that the lack of evaluation-related capacity of the institutions was the most urgent need for improvement, and demanded the development of standardized evaluation tools. In addition, based on the above research results, the development of standardized evaluation tools on lifelong education program for persons with disabilities, the operation of training for education officials to strengthen their professionalism, and the establishment of a system for sharing program evaluation results were discussed regarding the development of lifelong education program evaluation for persons with disabilities.","PeriodicalId":239249,"journal":{"name":"Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities","volume":"339 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114728115","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It presents policy goals and prioritized policy agendas based on the Interim and Final evaluation of the 5th Comprehensive Policy Plan for the People with Disabilities, the policy agenda developed for the 20th presidential election, and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities of the UN and ILO, the Convention concerning Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment of the People with Disabilities, and the WHO's 2001 Disability Classification Table. As a result of the study, first, the policy goals of the 6th Comprehensive Policy Plan for the People with Disabilities were presented in the direction of inclusion rather than separation, and emphasizing fundamental rights rather than special measures, suggesting a society in which fundamental rights are guaranteed as a citizen. Second, the main tasks of the policy are classified into the areas of fundamental rights of the people with Disabilities, the area of disability sensitivity, and the area for removing barriers that hinder social inclusion of people with disabilities, and all central government departments and local governments, providing public services. It was suggested that it is necessary to design a system in which all public organizations participate. Third, as for detailed promotion tasks, a total of 25 areas were presented: 3 areas of basic rights, 3 areas of disability sensitivity, 9 areas of social participation, and 10 areas of continuous tasks.","PeriodicalId":239249,"journal":{"name":"Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125459293","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to analyze the status of assistive technology device support and return status, the number and amount of assistive technology devices supported by the Korea Disabled Employment Agency from 2016 to 2019, and assistive technology devices returned by the disabled were analyzed by type. The difference in employment period by type was analyzed. In the case of the support status of assistive technology devices, the number of applications for commercial assistive technology devices is increasing, but customized assistive technology devices have been decreasing since 2017, and the amount of payments has increased sharply in 2019. Regarding the return status, from 2016 to 2019, the ratio of assistive technology devices under 1 million won was the largest at 56.0%, and the total amount of returned devices is increasing from 2018 to 2019. In the case of the employment maintenance period, 25.44 months were for disabled workers who received customized auxiliary engineering devices, longer than 24.91 months for disabled workers who received commercial assistive technology devices, which showed a statistically significant difference. This study investigated the support and return devices of the assistive technology device support project of the Korea Disabled Employment Agency, compared and analyzed the employment retention period of disabled workers according to commercial and customized devices. This study is the first study in Korea to analyze the effect of maintaining employment according to the type of assistive technology devices, and it is meaningful to support customized assistive technology devices for disabled workers, and it is hoped that the research results will provide a foundation for building a hub for integrated management of assistive technology.","PeriodicalId":239249,"journal":{"name":"Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133566079","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The idea of Neurodiversity started in the 1990s, based on humanities and social science backgrounds, thanks to autistics' real-time debates on autistic characteristics worldwide. By the way, the notion counters the theory of mind(ToM). ToM aims to make the world a ‘neuronormal’ society by denying membership to people with Disabilities and creating ‘Autism’ as the cure target. ToM began from evolutionary psychology; deteriorated into a rationalisation tool for proving the mindblindness of autistics for downgrading into non-human by researchers in autism, including Baron-Cohen. As Autistic people refute the theory using Neurodiversity and the Double Empathy Problem(DEP), opponents block the Neurodiversity by distorting or reducing the notion. Nevertheless, a recent proposal that expands Neurodiversity into mental illnesses by 3Oceans is different from the interruption: which gives the possibility of resolving the problems from DEP of autistic people. The study will contribute to a proper understanding of Neurodiversity, Initiatives of the Neurodiversity movement, and new autistic studies in Korea: which could free autistic people resolved from isolation and objectification as the target of service and care.","PeriodicalId":239249,"journal":{"name":"Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116664721","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study is differentiated in that it used company-level data, unlike previous studies that used individual-level data. A linear regression analysis method was used using survey data on the status of the disabled in companies generated by KEAD.. As a result of regression analysis, it was found that the statistical effects of the explanatory variables input into the regression model differed by age group. For 34 under age group, employment rate of people with developmental disabilities was high. For 34-45 age group, the wage variable was positive for employment. For the 55 and older group, employer support showed contributed to employment. Statistically significant variables for employment of the aged disabled include that industry, region, organizational type, company age, number of full-time workers, number of workers with disabilities, ratio of the severely disabled, ratio of types of disability, ratio of occupations, recruitment considerations, working conditions, welfare benefits, business owner support services. As policy implications according to the analysis results, differentiated employment strategies by age group, strengthening the provision of employment services for employers and the elderly with disabilities, easing the age conditions for hiring, reducing the economic burden of employment, and expanding the internship system for the elderly were presented.","PeriodicalId":239249,"journal":{"name":"Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities","volume":"97 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133658985","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
