The separation of control plane and data plane in its network architecture makes the network devices easier to configure because of the centralized control system using the SDN controller. Research about SDN then evolved towards the wireless networks, and Software-defined Wireless Networking (SDWN) began to be researched. In this paper, we present a performance evaluation of SDN-based wireless network. Using 802.11g wireless standard, we simulated some scenarios through Mininet-WiFi and we examined the impact of background traffic while doing the scenarios. The result shows that the performance of the SDN-based wireless network with VoIP scenarios decrease compared to no background traffic given, with the increase of delay by 60.73%, the increase of jitter by 20.62%, the increase of packet loss by 0.03%, and the decrease of throughput by 31.44 when the given background traffics are 1 Mbps, 100 kbps, 40 Mbps, and 50 Mbps. The performance with the file transfer scenarios also decreases compared to no background traffic, with the increase of delay by 459.05%, the increase of packet loss by 0.043%, the decrease of throughput by 64.64% when the given background traffic is 24.09 Mbps. The SDN-based wireless network performance with the video streaming scenarios decrease compared to no background traffic, with the increase of delay by 175.88%, the increase of jitter by 45100.12%, the increase of packet loss by 0.58%, and the decrease of throughput by 46.35% when the given background traffic is 40 Mbps.","PeriodicalId":236517,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICEEI)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128883232","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The need of protecting the gear and other mechanical components makes robot designers use series elastic actuators (SEA) as their robotics limbs. While using series elastic actuators have made it possible to damp ground reaction force on jumping or running and also storing the resulting energy from jumping, SEAs was able to do that at the cost of increased control complexity and it was hard to adjust the mechanical components to fit a certain value of spring constant or damping constant. Hence, to have an actuator which can do both damping and have a pretty high adjustability in this paper we introduce virtual damper and spring on a quasi-direct drive actuator using proportional integral and derivative (PID). Based on experiments demonstrated in this paper, by using virtual damper and spring Ground Reaction Force (GRF) of the same falling height was reduced by 2 times actuator's weight compared to when dropped without virtual damper and spring, which is about 5-6 times of actuator's weight.","PeriodicalId":236517,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICEEI)","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132002182","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The transmission system used is a transmission system in area Malang, with a transmission voltage is 150 kV — 70 kV. Malang transmission system has a semi-radial-type network, with load centered on a substation in the town area. Large load and critical voltage drop occur in bus KA and bus SKL included in area Malang, the voltage drop up to 6% of the base voltage. In this study, the author focus on the effect of adding a tie-line to the Malang transmission system for improving the voltage profile. To select the appropriate network addition, using methods based on areas that have a large load and a large voltage drop. The method used for this problem is Z bus, with Kron Reduction to reduce the Z bus value after the addition of the tie-line network. The addition of the tie-line network has an effect of the improvement voltage in Malang transmission system, also improves the stability of the voltage on each bus substation in Malang area. With the addition of the Tie-line, the benefits obtained are the decreasing of power losses that occur in the system, the voltage of each bus remains stable despite the addition of load power and the constant supply of the generator.","PeriodicalId":236517,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICEEI)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114958491","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It comprises solid and liquid insulating materials. Kraft paper as solid insulation should have an ability to insulate the winding connection, while oil transformer, aside of its main function as insulation, it is also used as a coolant. This paper analyzes the accelerated thermal aging performance of kraft paper immersed in the natural ester from RBD palm oil by using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) characterization. XRD characterization was used to determine the existence of crystalline structure in kraft paper. Crystalline structure in kraft paper is composed by cellulose. The toughness of kraft paper was determined by its amorphous region, lignin, that bind the cellulose and make them hard. The influence of thermal expansion was observed to discover the effect of thermal stress to the crystallinity of kraft paper. Besides, thermal degradation characteristics of kraft paper were examined by using thermogravimetric analysis. The sample was aged in 120°C and 150°C for two weeks. The results also show that crystalline region of the sample that heated in higher aging temperature tends to drop faster than the sample with lower aging temperature.","PeriodicalId":236517,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICEEI)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131915815","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several countries have invented their own sign language including Indonesia's Sistem Isyarat Bahasa Indonesia (SIBI). The uniqueness of SIBI is that it applies the Indonesian language grammatical structure to the hand motions used and uses facial expressions as the replacement of intonation and lip motions to pronounce a word. From previous studies, to increase the accuracy of sign language recognition it is necessary to supplement the hand tracking with lip reading. This study proposes a model to recognize inflectional word gestures through lip motions. From the proposed model, this research found that the sequence of lip motions are very similar to each other, which resulted in very low accuracy in determining prefix (21,64%), root words (23,87%), and suffixes (22,61%), in SIBI just by analyzing the sequence of lip motions. Using similarity-groupings determined in this study, the accuracy of the model proposed can be increased significantly with the accuracy increasing to prefix (73,94%), root words (83,98%), and suffixes (82,10%). Additionally, another cause for the low accuracy of the model is that the labeling was done according to the hand gestures, this resulted in the frame by frame sequence that was captured to not be representative of the entire lip motions.","PeriodicalId":236517,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICEEI)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128076087","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recently, education data has drawback of being able to be reused by other software, which results in data have to be migrated manually every time there is a change in other databases that also use education data. To enable data to be synchronized without having to migrate data manually, it is necessary to integrate and convert data into data that can be connected with other data in other software. Data structure that can be used by other software and enable data to be integrated is Linked Data. From this problem, this paper aims to build a tool to make data integrated and linked with other data in other software to automate migration. The tool will receive data input that will be converted into Linked Data. The resulted Linked Data then will be stored in RDF Store and can be fetched by other software through Web API or SPARQL Query Endpoint. In addition, users can explore the resulted Linked Data through RDF Subject Page. Based on the results of evaluations carried out using basic education data and PPDB 2018 data from Bandung State Junior High School 45, the built tool can produce integrated data that also can be used by other software. Thus, it can be concluded that developing tool to integrate and convert data can be a solution to make data integrated and can be used by other software.","PeriodicalId":236517,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICEEI)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133435286","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These two aspects of user engagement play an essential role in developing information system successfully. Currently, the lack of theoretical and empirical evidence of factors that influence effective user engagement constitute a need to review relevant literature to determine factors that were directly or indirectly affect user engagement success. A total of 12 candidate success factors have been identified: User-Developer Communication, Identifying Users for Engagement, User Ability in IT Projects, Type of Participation, Top Management Support, Organisational Culture, User Motivation, User Attitude toward System, User-Developer attitude, Conflict Resolution, Involvement Congruence, and Project Complexity. This paper discusses the items for measuring user engagement success. Initially 83 items were identified. These items were first tested by three experts in the area of information system development where two new items were added, and 15 items were deleted after the process. Then each item was validated using content validity ratio and reliability test. Results have indicated that 67 items in the questionnaires are reliable. A valid user engagement success instrument was proposed by the end of this paper.","PeriodicalId":236517,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICEEI)","volume":"101 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122098845","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Named Data Network will enter a new era in the world of networks because NDN nodes can store the data that has been requested by consumers in the content store so that one day when the data is requested by another consumer, it will be fast in the distribution of data. There are several optimization techniques based on replacement algorithms, one example is Least Recently Used (LRU), which is more focused on content that is rarely accessed and stores popular content in the content store. But the LRU has a weakness, which is only using the latest reference time and cannot distinguish between frequently or rarely the object being accessed. LRU modification is made to combine frequency and recently files in the decision stage to replace files so that the Modified-LRU can improve performance more optimally. In this paper, it is proposed the Modified-LRU algorithm. Modified-LRU takes an idea of SF-LRU but it is more simple in the process of deleting files. So, it can reduce the processing load. In this paper, the performance of LRU and Modified-LRU are compared. The simulation results show that the Modified-LRU is feasible to improve the LRU performance. The hit ratio is 8.7% greater compared to LRU, reducing delay by 60% and packet drop by 95%.","PeriodicalId":236517,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICEEI)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125739313","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
