The model and the architecture are designed as part of service-oriented situational method engineering (SME) framework, which is proposed as a solution to increase SME application on a software project. By applying SME, a project-specific or situational software development method can be composed from several method chunks. Currently, method engineers maintain their own method chunks in a method base built for a specific CAME tool. It would be better if the concept of service-oriented is applied to provide sharing mechanism of method chunks between method engineers. The SOSME model consists of three participants adopted from Service-oriented Architecture (SOA) model: method chunk provider (MCP), method chunk registry (MCR), and method chunk client (MCC). MCPs publish their method chunks to the MCR. Method engineers can build a new (situational) method by using a CAME tool as the MCC which retrieves a list of suitable method chunks from the MCR. Once the method chunks are found, the MCC can retrieve method chunks description from the MCP. The proposed model also includes method chunk representation and searching mechanism from the MCR, method chunk representation and retrieving mechanism from the MCP, as well as method construction and method enactment mechanism at the MCC. The proposed architecture is designed based on the proposed model. The proposed architecture consists of three components: Method Base Management System (MBMS) as part of the MCP, UDDI-like MCR, and Computer Aided Method Engineering (CAME) as a Service (CMaaS) and Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) as a Service (CSaaS) as parts of the MCC. Each component is designed based on an existing CAME and CASE architecture, which is modified to apply SOA and Software as a Service (SaaS) concepts.","PeriodicalId":236517,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICEEI)","volume":"69 6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124839229","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This basic alcohol level detector determines the alcohol level of a person. Z specification, which is one of the formal methods, is applied for the software verification of this detector. The specification consists of five schemas; one state schema, one initial state schema and three operation schemas. Z/EVES is used to prove the specification. Out of three stages of proving elements, only the initial state theorem and properties proving are relevant to this basic alcohol level detector. Z specification helps in reducing the defect in the system development and prevent the ambiguous behavior in this alcohol level detector.","PeriodicalId":236517,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICEEI)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129724616","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the important equipment in electrical distribution at offshore area is subsea power cable. There are several methods for the remaining lifetime estimation of the subsea power cable. The previous research mostly used the corrosion and abrasion factor to predict the remaining life of subsea power cable. In this paper, the variables used to predict the remaining life of subsea power cable is the existence of partial discharge in XLPE and historical data of cable failure. This paper explains three methods for prediction of the remaining life of subsea power cable, those are linear regression, degradation case, and aging assessment.","PeriodicalId":236517,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICEEI)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129755411","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The challenge faced in providing an optical network is the process of deploying cables that can change the spatial layout of an area. An alternative solution of that problem is by applying the concept of optical wireless communication such as Free Space Optics. The application of optical wireless communication is affected by barriers between transmitter and receiver. This study focuses on weather factors and atmospheric turbulence factors that affect network performances of Free Space Optics measured by Bit Error Rate (BER) values using Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) calculations. SNR calculation is based on the On - Off Keying modulation scheme which is divided into two, NRZ - OOK and RZ - OOK. In addition, the use of different wavelengths between 690, 780, 850, and 1550 nm will be compared to find out the factor of wavelength selection to the value of BER obtained. The results of this study indicate that the use of the RZ-OOK modulation scheme gives around 1010 lower BER value than NRZ-OOK in fog conditions. The wavelength of 1550 nm is very suitable for FSO technology because the BER value is around 1050 lower than the other wavelengths. The difference is very significant. Network implementation in accordance with the parameters used in this study can only be implemented in the range of 0 – 1.2 km to get acceptable BER which is correlated to optical communication standard","PeriodicalId":236517,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICEEI)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126302117","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most instruments that are currently available used ground vehicle to conduct photometry which has a high dependence on airport infrastructure conditions. This paper proposed a new photometric method using an instrument carried by a drone thus lowering its dependency on airport infrastructures conditions. The instrument utilized a photodiode array consisting of an aluminum bar with several photodiode module sensors separated apart with the same distance. To prove the concept the instrument was used to measure a Thorn EL-EAH runway edge light in laboratory setting at Balai Teknik Penerbangan Indonesia (Indonesia Aviation Engineering Center). The vertical scanning method was used to obtain the required measurement points. Computer program was then used to generate the isocandela diagram through the Kriging interpolation. Results showed that the vertical scanning method was successfully measure all required points and the resulted isocandela diagram was adequate to aviation regulation.","PeriodicalId":236517,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICEEI)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127835106","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In which, it uses the Advanced Encryption System (AES) and Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA) with the end-to-end method and analyze the overhead of application of digital signature. Because, the disadvantage of MQTT is that there is no encryption process on the payload. In which, allows one to be able to find out the payload content that causes no privacy in the data. Data integrity is also a problem with MQTT. The purpose of this digital signature is to verify that the payload sent is a genuine one, which does not change during the transmission process, and the secrecy of the payload. After evaluating and testing the proposed system, the program can secure the MQTT payload. The addition of a security mechanism in MQTT such as the encryption process, decryption, verification results produces overhead in several aspects. The overhead used in this study is to measure the size of the payload, the time of sending messages, the process of the mechanism of digital signature security, memory consumption, and CPU usage. In an overhead analysis, overhead is carried out by examining various types of AES keys and multiple types of SHA. After examination, there is an increase in size for several aspects that have been mentioned because of the digital signature scheme.","PeriodicalId":236517,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICEEI)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130625634","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The growing use of information technology has led to the widespread adoption of HIE. Large hospitals and healthcare systems have been at the forefront of implementing HIE, while little is known about the state of adoption and challenges in the implementation of HIE during the adoption. This paper aims to review previous models and frameworks to provide a comprehensive literature study about the challenges and barriers in adopting HIE and provide recommendations that will contribute to the resolution of these issues in large hospitals. A literature review was conducted and identified the issues, challenges and recommendations of HIE adopting. The review gathered documents systematically from different search engines includes Scopus, ScienceDirect, PubMed, Biomed, ACM Digital library and WorldCat. The findings reveal eight factors to be considered as challenges before the adoption take place. Three main recommendations: the use of IT innovations, integration of electronic health records system and increase system capacity are suggested. The recommendations and challenges are highlighted and may foster and promote HIE adoption within country and at international levels.","PeriodicalId":236517,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICEEI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125410384","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
