For individual solutions, basic tactical and technical data were\u0000characterised with particular emphasis on the method and “cost” of achieving the maximum range,\u0000the associated dispersion, and the ability to reach the target. The second part of this article presents\u0000the results of our own research in this area and it presents selected results taking into account variants\u0000of the projectile. On the basis of the conducted analyses, the recommendations were also presented\u0000regarding the required characteristics of such ammunition. The mutual dependencies between the\u0000characteristics of the weapons, being introduced or planned for introduction, and the maximum possible\u0000ranges to be obtained were also strongly emphasised. The analysis and synthesis of the data presented\u0000in the research paper show that it is possible to develop long-range ammunition by the domestic\u0000armaments industry, provided that the works indicated for implementation are commenced quickly\u0000\u0000

The purpose of this work was to initially investigate the diffusion rate of lowvolatile substances in laboratory conditions, with the best possible representation of real conditions.\u0000The obtained results allowed us to assess potential contamination with such substances at a height of\u0000up to 150 cm from the surface of the emission source. For this reason, there was built an apparatus for\u0000taking gaseous samples at various distances from the emission source of the tested substance. Nontoxic sulfur mustard imitators of similar volatility were used for the experiments: dodecane, dimethyl\u0000glutarate, diethyl succinat, and dibenzyl ether. For each of these substances, the concentration of\u0000saturated vapour was determined and the time to achieve the liquid-vapour equilibrium in various\u0000configurations of research equipment was estimated. The analyses of the concentrations of the tested\u0000substances in the air were carried out using a gas chromatograph coupled with an atomic emission\u0000detector. The studies have shown that substances with low volatility can quickly rise to high altitudes.\u0000\u0000

The\u0000most common kinematic structure is the series structure. The effector at the end of the structure is\u0000a process head or a gripper. The most commonly used kinematic structure is a series structure, and the\u0000effector at the end of it is a technological head or a gripper. The area of application of manipulators is\u0000very wide and it de-termines the type of tools used, the kinematic structure, the drive system, and the\u0000base platform ‒ sta-tionary or mobile one. As industrial, medical, and research robots there are used\u0000the manipulators built on a stationary platform. A construction of this type requires a high degree of\u0000repeatability and preci-sion in the movements performed. A multi-part structure with a large number\u0000of degrees of freedom provides the manipulators with a large working capacity, but at the same time\u0000makes it difficult to use them effectively for manual operation. This is why they are most commonly\u0000used for robots in which some or all movements are controlled automatically. Manipulators, mounted\u0000on mobile platforms, are a special group, called in short mobile robots. They are most often used for\u0000special tasks, such as military and rescue operations, as well as for the exploration of hard-to-reach\u0000research areas. Manipulators used there must be able to carry heavy loads, have a wide range of\u0000workspace and the ability to generate large lifting forces. Their use for dangerous activities protects\u0000people from the risk of loss of their life or health, and thus it increases the efficiency of the work. Gaseous and solid pollutants (dust) of the atmospheric air have been defined. Dusts were divided according to various criteria and their properties were given. Exemplary courses of immission of the fraction of solid particles are given, indicating a strong dependence of the immission on the seasons, days of the week and day and night. The sources and characteristics of artificial and natural pollutants in the atmospheric air are presented. It has been shown that the main sources of anthropogenic pollution in addition to industry and the automotive industry. Cars are a source of gaseous and particulate pollutants PM, and they also emit pollution from brake and clutch lining wear, as well as from tire and road wear. The main sources of natural air pollution were discussed, including volcanic eruptions, fires in landfills, forests, steppes and sand storms, as well as mineral dust (road dust) carried from the ground by vehicles. The properties of road dust are discussed: chemical and fractional composition, density, dust concentration in the air. It has been shown that the two basic components of the dust, silica and corundum, whose share in dust reaches 95%, also have the highest hardness, which may have a decisive influence on the wear of engine components. Various valuesof dust concentration in the air were presented depending on the type and condition of the ground and the conditions of use of vehicles.\u0000Keywords: mechanical engineering, internal combustion engines, air pollution sources, road dust\u0000\u0000

Over the last decades, the increase in the dynamics of the development of this technology manifests itself in the form of a wide spectrum of implementations of the methods in the production processes of many elements. This paper presents the latest achievements in the production of gears where the additive technologies have been applied with the use of polymers and metallic materials. The most frequently used methods in this field were indicated, as well as problems related to geometric accuracy or fatigue life of elements manufactured with the use of the methods mentioned. In addition, future directions of gear design, the implementation of which was possible thanks to the use of AM, as well as the scope of research that should be undertaken in this area in the future, were defined.\u0000Keywords: mechanical engineering, manufacturing technologies, additive manufacturing, gears\u0000\u0000

The reduction of carbon dioxide emissions can be achieved by increasing the efficiency of the internal combustion engine or reducing the carbon content in the fuel burned. The combination of both of these assumptions can be the use of modern dual-fuel systems for diesel engines in which the pilot dose of highly reactive fuel is hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), which is an ecological substitute for diesel oil. The plate perforation was performed with a pneumatic gun using three types of penetrators. Sharp, spherical and blunt penetrators were used. The use of different geometries of penetrators causes the process of perforation and destruction of plates in a different state of stress and strain, which leads to the appearance of three basic modes of failure. Numerical analyses of the perforation process have been carried out using the Ls-Dyna computational code with an advanced constitutive model of the material and the integrated failure model. The obtained experimental and numerical results were analysed and compared.
