The analyses were preceded by the selection of the material from which the structures could potentially be made. The most optimal material was selected from three metallic materials for which an advanced constitutive material model and a failure model were available. The use of an appropriate model has allowed a number of phenomena to be taken into account during the very complex perforation process, which translates into the quality and accuracy of the numerical results obtained. The main numerical analyses carried out after the material selection stage, focused on the analysis of the strength of the structures in the process of their perforation with objects in the form of a ball with a diameter of 10 mm. The three objects hitting the structures were arranged in such a way as to take into account the influence of the impact location on the perforation process. Based on the measurement of the perforation depth of the balls and the analysis of the area of impact on the structure, the most strength topology was selected. In the next step, additional numerical analyses were carried out to determine the effectiveness of the structure and to estimate its ballistic limit.\u0000\u0000

The boron nitride with a particle size below\u0000100 nm and the second one with a particle size below 25 μm were used. The lubricity tests were carried\u0000out on a four-ball apparatus. The methodology of these tests was determined on the basis of the normative\u0000document PN-EN ISO 20623: 2018-02, which contains the following parameters characterising the\u0000lubricity: initial seizure load ISL [N], weld load WL [N], load-wear index LWI [N], mean wear scar\u0000diameter MWSD [mm] obtained in a long duration wear test under a specified load; wear-load curve,\u0000i.e., the dependence of the mean wear scar diameter on the load, was also performed. Tests were also\u0000carried out to check the influence of selected surfactants on the sedimentation process of hexagonal\u0000boron nitride in the SN150 mineral base oil. Based on the conducted research and their analysis, it\u0000was found that hexagonal boron nitride has a positive effect on the lubricating properties of the base\u0000oil; better results were obtained for the boron nano-nitride with a particle size below 100 nm.
