Methods: The data from the 16th Korea Youth Risk Behavior Survey (2020) was analyzed using SPSS 18.0. Results: In the smartphone overdependence group, there were significant relationships in health-related factors, dietary habits, and oral-related factors, and the higher the dependence, the more oral symptoms were. Conclusions: Strategies to reduce adolescents' dependence on smartphones and various approaches to support oral and health behaviors are needed.","PeriodicalId":232441,"journal":{"name":"The Korean Society of Oral Health Science","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128864199","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methods: The subject's image of dental hygiene, self-perception of the profession, and career exploration behavior were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression. The final data of 250 people were analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 program. Results: The image of dental hygiene and self-perception of the profession were positively correlated with the quantity of career exploration. The variables influencing dental hygiene students' career exploration behavior were self-perception of the profession. Conclusions: Since the variables affecting the career exploration behavior of students in the Department of Dental Hygiene appeared as a professional self-perception, measures should be prepared to enhance the professional self-percentpion.","PeriodicalId":232441,"journal":{"name":"The Korean Society of Oral Health Science","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129437355","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methods: Scaling was performed by a dental hygienist after 0.1% CGS pre-rinse to a total of 18 healthy subjects without oral inflammation. Samples were taken from personal protective equipment and environment to confirm contamination by bacterial aerosol. Results: The most contaminated area with bacterial aerosol was the dental hole towel of patient and followed by the chest, cap, gloves, and dental apron of personal protective equipment. The areas with high CGS pre-rinse effect after scaling were cap, gloves, ultrasonic scaler handle, and dental hole towel. Conclusions: 0.1% CGS pre-rinse is an effective method to consistently reduce the risk of periodontitis and contamination by bacterial aerosol in dental treatment including scaling.","PeriodicalId":232441,"journal":{"name":"The Korean Society of Oral Health Science","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129831706","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methods: The subjects were 318 students in the first, second, and third grades. Career identity refers to self-confidence in oneself, and emotional intelligence is a factor that determines one's thoughts and actions by understanding, discriminating, and controlling the emotions of oneself and others. Self-elasticity is flexibility that controls individual abilities and allows them to grow positively. Results: Factors affecting career identity were found to have an effect on major satisfaction, academic performance, emotional intelligence, and self-elasticity, and explanatory power was 38.6% (F: 20.690 p=0.001). Conclusions: It is necessary to strengthen career identity by creating positive goals for the job and improving positive emotional tendencies.","PeriodicalId":232441,"journal":{"name":"The Korean Society of Oral Health Science","volume":"90 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114676406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methods: This study used data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2019-2020, and hierarchical regression was performed to confirm the mediating effect of oral health problems (chewing and speaking problems) and the effect of walking days on OSA risk factors (snoring, tiredness, witness). Results: The number of days of walking had no significant effect on OSA risk factors (β= -.011, p>.05). Oral health problem as a parameter had a significant effect on OSA risk factors [; thus] it was confirmed that there was a fully mediating effect (β=.049, p<.001).
