Methods: From March 1 to June 30, 2022, a survey was conducted of 579 workers at three hotels in Seoul. Research analysis was performed using IBM SPSS 27.0 Version. Results: Firstly, the higher the symptoms of depression, anxiety and somatic symptoms, the higher the oral symptoms, showing a significant difference. Secondly, in the relationship between depression and anxiety symptoms and oral symptoms, somatic symptoms showed a partial mediating effect. Conclusions: Somatic symptoms of hotel service workers are an important mediating factor. If somatic symptoms are prominent during work activities, it can be predicted that negative mental and oral health symptoms will appear.","PeriodicalId":232441,"journal":{"name":"The Korean Society of Oral Health Science","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128405022","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methods: Convenience sampling method was used to collect data from 215 dental hygiene students in the Daejeon and Chungcheong regions from April 1-30, 2021, and a self-administered questionnaire was used. Results: In dental hygiene students, self-directed learning, self-efficacy, and class satisfaction scores were 3.30, 3.32, and 3.15 points, respectively. Self-directed learning was positively correlated with self-efficacy and class satisfaction. Self-efficacy and class satisfaction had significant effects on self-directed learning with an explanatory power of 77.9%. Conclusions: Therefore, self-efficacy had the greatest effects on self-directed learning in dental hygiene students. Institutional support and efforts must be provided to improve self-efficacy and class satisfaction.","PeriodicalId":232441,"journal":{"name":"The Korean Society of Oral Health Science","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130210103","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
