Intelligence is the key factor which is lacking in the job scheduling techniques of today. Genetic algorithms are powerful search techniques based on the mechanisms of natural selection and natural genetics. Multiple jobs are handled by the scheduler and the resource the job needs are in remote locations. Here we assume that the resource a job needs are in a location and not split over nodes and each node that has a resource runs a fixed number of jobs. The existing algorithms used are non predictive and employs greedy based algorithms or a variant of it. The efficiency of the job scheduling process would increase if previous experience and the genetic algorithms are used. In this paper, A new technique is proposed as a model of the scheduling algorithm where the scheduler can learn from previous experiences and an effective job scheduling is achieved as time progresses.","PeriodicalId":228083,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Conference on Intelligent and Advanced Systems","volume":"109 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116195323","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The fingerprint has unique characteristics called minutiae, which are points where a curve track finishes, intersect or branches off. The thermal diffusivity value was evaluated by knowing the transition frequency between the thermally thin to thermally thick region from the log-log plot of photoacoustic amplitude versus chopping frequency. The estimator makes use of two identical halves property of time synchronization preamble used in OFDM systems and relies on autocorrelation of the same. The current estimator is compared with two existing SNR estimators, the Reddy estimator and Subspace based estimator in terms of normalized mean square error (NMSE) and estimated SNR. It is observed that current estimator gives SNR estimates better than Reddy and subspace estimators. The estimator performs SNR estimation at front-end of the receiver unlike all other estimators which perform SNR estimation at back-end of the receiver.","PeriodicalId":228083,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Conference on Intelligent and Advanced Systems","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127121885","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The multiplier cell of the adder is designed by using pass transistors (n-transistors), p-transistors used as cross-coupled devices. The adder cell is designed by using multiplexing control input techniques. A combination of n- and p-transistors used on the mirror logic and inverters of full adder circuit. These multipliers are useful in the portable battery operated multimedia devices for energy efficient. The 8 bit multiplier circuit has been simulated using microwind3 VLSI layout CAD tool. We have analyzed the power dissipation, propagation delay, PDP and EPI (energy per instruction) and compared our results with other pass transistor logics as well as published results. From the simulated results it was found that the power dissipation and propagation delay are low in our designed non-clocked pass transistor logics. Our multiplier circuit shows a power dissipation improvement of 97.6% from Amir et.al and 46.30%, 23.24% and 0.15% from Rizwan et.al. The given technique is to process the seismogram with poor SNR, dominant by the convolution noise. Seismogram is the output of a mixed phase source wavelet driven by the non Gaussian input signal in presence of additive Gaussian, color Gaussian noise. Existing HOS based techniques are good in processing of non-minimum phase system but most of them fails when noise dominates the actual signal. In regions like volcanic, anhydrite, complex geological areas, it is difficult to acquire the seismic data with good SNR, and convolution noise is dominant. Convolutional noise makes it difficult to identify the closely spaced bedding. Proposed blind equalization technique is based on the eigenvector algorithm, certain modifications are incorporated to reduce the MMSE, max. Distortion and convolution noise effectively. Performance of the modified algorithm indicates its effectiveness for signals with dominant Gaussian/color Gaussian noise.","PeriodicalId":228083,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Conference on Intelligent and Advanced Systems","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130741016","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
