Sobotka","doi":"10.37105/iboa.168","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.37105/iboa.168","url":null,"abstract":"This paper presents the results of measurements of the elliptical distribution of seismic vibrations generated during rock blasting.The technical safety of a building in the area of seismic vibrations is determined by the vibration velocity that does not exceed the line B included in zone II of the scale of dynamic influences [SWD].  The hypothesis proved in the paper is that for both elliptical and circular distributions of the vibration velocity in rock mining with blasting material [BM] there is a directionality of the horizontal radial component Vx and the tangential component Vy of the vibration velocity.The magnitude of the components Vx and Vy of the vibration velocity at the same distance from the vibration source depends on the directional angle \"α\" between the line of the blast holes and the line connecting the centre of the surface of the rock block being mined with  [BM] and the place of measurement. The elliptical shapes of the graphs Vx and Vy obtained during the mining of the BM of the basalt deposit, which depend on the value of the directional angle, were compared with the shape of the circular velocity graphs Vx and Vy. New correlations are given that take into account the directional angle when calculating the maximum vibration velocity values needed to determine the damage caused to a bulding by the SWD.A dynamic impact scale [SWD] for the assessment of building damage as the vibration velocity acting on the building increases is given and discussed. Vibration velocity diagrams measured during the excavation of BM rock are presented for circular distributions in accordance with theoretical predictions. A vibration velocity diagram for an elliptical distribution, inconsistent with a circular distribution, measured during the excavation of BM rock is presented. It is shown that the directionality of the horizontal radial and tangential components of vibration velocity exists for both circular and elliptical distribution of vibration velocity in rock excavation with BM. Numerical computations were performed using SIMULIA Abaqus software. The way of defining and developing the computational model was described. In the numerical procedure adopted in the paper, much attention was paid to formulas related to various types of the model parameters that depend on the fire temperature. The results were shown in a graphic form. They were compared with the results obtained from the analysis, in which the impact of elevated temperatures was disregarded. Based on numerical simulation results, an attempt was made to assess the effect of fire on the steel frame components. The paper is exploratory in character and provides an introduction to the issues related to the modelling of steel structure fires. The direct reason for the cessation of exploitation was the deletion of Bunker from the Civil Defense records. The paper contains a detailed analysis of the Bunker's technical condition, also taking into account the national defense, functional and utility aspects and the issues of economics of carrying out renovation works. This is due to the fact that defects occur during transport, storage or incorrect loading of the elements. The conducted tests and technical assessments often allow the use of built-in elements, however, under the conditions of the need to make their reinforcements. This may be due to the scale of damage or defects made during molding and, as a consequence, the implementation of prefabricated elements with too low load capacity. Taking action each time should allow for the implementation of reinforcements of the elements, limiting the need to dismantle them, which would result in their irretrievable destruction. The implementation of reinforcements allows to reduce the generation of waste from new elements and allows for the proper management of already produced prefabricated elements. Used elements with reinforcements should be subject to technical inspection in the same periods as other structural elements. Proper implementation of repairs allows for the final effect to be similar to the parameters of elements free of technical defects. Appropriate regulations to support the implementation of circular concepts in construction do exist, an example being the regulation governing the determination of life-cycle costs of buildings. However, it is not used by contracting authorities. The reasons for this can probably be found in the range of data that must be prepared in the contract documents in order to correctly calculate the individual values. Systems with heat pumps connected by a water loop are an economically attractive proposition. They allow significant savings. In the winter months, they achieve up to 60% energy savings for shopping centers. On an annual basis, they reach up to 23%.  It is also important to note the possibility of additional use of \"free-cooling\" cooling, which allows a significant reduction in operating costs or supplementing with solar panels as an additional heat source. The immediate reason for the cessation of operation was the change in the use profile of the port quay, which caused the handling of other goods at the quay than the bulk materials originally stored in Elewator Zbożowy. The work contains a detailed analysis of the technical condition of the building, also taking into account the functional and utility aspect as well as the economics of renovation works. Civil engineering is the sector responsible for the highest energy consumption. Therefore, efforts should be made to reduce the energy consumption of construction works in progress. An indispensable factor of development is the introduction of modern technologies. Contemporary architectural thought aiming at increasing the share of transparent facades may be helpful in achieving these goals. This is an important aesthetic aspect. Large panes of glass give the building a modern character, but also visually increase the space and passively allow you to acquire large amounts of heat. Despite the difficulties and costs associated with the construction and operation of high-rise buildings, they are erected more and more often, also in Poland. Modern technology and advanced calculation theory make it possible to build these structures much more economically than previous conventional systems. The Scales of Dynamic Influences [SWD] of the harmfulness of the vibration velocity on a two-storey building [SWDI] and a five-storey building[SWDII] are given. The value of seismic velocity safe for the construction of the buildings has been determined. They are in Zone II of the Dynamic Influence Scale [SWD] SWD I and SWD II. The magnitude of the components of the vibration velocity at the same distance from the source of vibration depends on the directional angle between the line of blast holes and the line connecting the centre of the surface of the mined rock block and the place of measurement. For the circular distribution of the vibration velocity, a theoretical analysis of the change in the radial value Vx and the tangential Vy of the vibration velocity depending on the change in the directional angle was conducted. Graphs of vibration velocity for circular distribution, measured during mining of rocks and complying with theoretical predictions were presented. The impact tests were carried out using a pendulum ballistic hammer, two types of concrete with natural aggregate: with pebble (river) gravel aggregate and medium-grained crushed granite aggregate. The concretes were tested on cubic specimens with varying W/C ratios (0.40; 0.45; 0.50; 0.55). The surface roughness of the grains in the aggregates used for the concretes was measured using a profilometer. Concrete impact strength was determined by the energy absorbed by the specimen until failure.
