This study took place at a School of Combatants of the National Liberation Army - ELN. As a result, the authors earned their B.A. degree in Anthropology with merit at the National University of Colombia in 2001. Twelve years later, this article is presented reflecting upon two non-verbal communication forms of expression: on one side, the body kinesics under the armed conflict requirements of the armed conflict in a rural area; and on the other, the proxemics built by a community in order to transform and functionally own fragments of the jungle under the particular demands of the guerrillas´ war. Therefore, we aim at understanding how ethnographic interaction in political armed violence operates as a sensitive experience, where gestures and simulations (meta-messages) flowing in a jungle of symbols can possibly, and quiet remarkably, make the difference between life and death.","PeriodicalId":225715,"journal":{"name":"Antípoda: Revista de Antropología y Arqueología","volume":"119 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116711176","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper argues the existence of \"politics of memory\" within chronicles, essays, papers, books, dissertations, and other sources written about the subject. However, from the author´s point of view, this literature dives into a permanent dialogue with other non-official narratives, being answered, subverted and resignified by the same people it represents. Throughout the article, several narratives collected during ethnographic fieldwork carried out by the autor together with members of the Pastos community, show that oral history is one of the crucially important non -official narratives for the history and memory of their people.","PeriodicalId":225715,"journal":{"name":"Antípoda: Revista de Antropología y Arqueología","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126495250","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Tal vez el caso mejor documentado es el de la region del valle de Tena, que se supone funciono como proveedor de alimentos para el cacicazgo de Bogota. En dicho valle se llevo a cabo un reconocimiento arqueologico sistematico con el fin de determinar la naturaleza del poblamiento humano y la posible disposicion de los asentamientos en torno a un sistema agricola vertical o microvertical. Los resultados de este estudio arqueologico contradicen las expectativas de los modelos de poblamiento vertical y microvertical en el valle de Tena y por tanto descartan la posibilidad de que el cacicazgo de Bogota se financiara con productos agricolas de esa region.","PeriodicalId":225715,"journal":{"name":"Antípoda: Revista de Antropología y Arqueología","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124071738","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They are located on a rock that outcrops on the littoral abrasion platform. The discovery of the footprints and their ascription of a high antiquity ca. 30.000 years 14C BP was initially disclosed to the media, where they first had an impact. The lithological studies carried out allowed to establish that the features of rocky substratum consist of an arenite with carbonate cement linked to deposits from the Pleistocene transgression dating back to 120.000 years BP. The morphological features of the abrasion platform's cavities match those produced by natural carbonate dissolution and are mainly defined as \"pans\" and \"pits\" in the geological literature. Finally, according to the available information, it is concluded that the cavities from Claromeco do not have a clear anthropic origin. Therefore, they cannot be taken into account in the archaeological debate about the early peopling of the Americas.","PeriodicalId":225715,"journal":{"name":"Antípoda: Revista de Antropología y Arqueología","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125027616","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The municipal Secretariat of Culture and Tourism has fomented this process since 2008 and has gradually sought to strengthen the ideological and praxeological proposal. It has done this by articulating the city’s cultural offerings with efforts to create economic opportunities in the trade and services sectors and, simultaneously, with the multicultural discourse of the Colombian nation-state. The argumentation of the article was constructed through a documentary methodology, recovering reports and studies from the public archives of the Secretariat of Culture and Tourism, and taking the “Petronio Alvarez” Pacific Music Festival as the case for analysis. The article demonstrates that diverse tensions arise in implementing these projects which overlook the experiences of the city’s Afro-Colombian populations who are trying to participate, since they have been designed by the nation-state in such a way as to condition and sectorize the benefits.","PeriodicalId":225715,"journal":{"name":"Antípoda: Revista de Antropología y Arqueología","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115787308","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The concept of the social here is the plural and heterogeneous field of interactions in which individuals, groups and social systems are produced, reproduced, transformed and eventually diluted. Supported by this hypothesis, and reconstructing Tarde’s conceptual syntax on the basis of it, we seek to clarify some fundamental elements of the theory of the individual outlined in various passages of his work. We also attempt to account for his ideas regarding the masses and the public, and we have proposed a re-reading of his concept of the multitude. Finally, we have tried to show some of the ethical-political consequences arising from that hypothesis and that syntax.","PeriodicalId":225715,"journal":{"name":"Antípoda: Revista de Antropología y Arqueología","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124079330","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
