We assume that linguistic and literary tools will allow us to determine the most characteristic features of contemporary novel productions to decide on the nature of changes taking place within the studied genre. Wer hat in der Demokratie das Sagen, der Bürger oder das politische System?","authors":"Edmund Schalkowski","doi":"10.7311/tid.16.2022.19","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.7311/tid.16.2022.19","url":null,"abstract":"Der Essay geht von der Beobachtung aus, dass in der Selbstbeschreibung moderner Demokratien zwei große Erzählungen unversöhnlich aufeinanderprallen: einerseits das naive Narrativ der Volkssouveränität, wonach freie und gleiche Bürger ihre Repräsentanten wählen, die dann kollektive Entscheidungen in deren Sinne treffen; andererseits das elitär-analytische Narrativ der Selbstreferenzialität des politischen Systems, in dem Parteifunktionäre um Macht kämpfen und die Interessen der Bürger nur als Spielmaterial benutzen. Das Ergebnis der Untersuchung ist eine Theorie der Entstehung von Macht in modernen demokratischen Gesellschaften, die auf der Dialektik von zwei Machttypen (positioneller und amtlicher Macht) basiert. These developments are novel forms of case reports published in international medical journals, going beyond the mere reporting of a case of a new disease or of its novel aspects. They may consist in the differences at the level of form, function and mode of content presentation. The data for the study constitute various publications derived from prestigious medical publishing outlets in English and will be analysed from the qualitative discourse perspective. Eine theoretisch und methodologisch fundierte Diskursanalyse existiert bisher jedoch nicht; vielmehr behelfen sich romanistische Arbeiten mit einem Rückgriff auf diskurslinguistische Ansätze aus der Germanistik. Der Artikel gibt einen Überblick über den aktuellen Stand der Diskurslinguistik in der deutschsprachigen Romanistik und arbeitet zentrale Schwierigkeiten sowie Lösungswege heraus. Otwierają go szczegółowe rozważania nad tym zjawiskiem. Autor stawia również pytanie o to, co uzasadnia badanie (nie)grzeczności w dyskursie. Przedstawiono ponadto różne podejścia analizy dyskursu stosowane w badaniach nad (nie)grzecznością. W kolejnej części artykułu zostały omówione dwa studia przypadków ilustrujące niektóre z kluczowych wyzwań w analizie (nie)grzeczności w różnych językach lub różnych odmianach tego samego języka. Autor ukazuje, że zmianie teoretycznego ujęcia (nie)grzeczności w ciągu ostatnich dwóch dekad towarzyszyła próba zakotwiczenia analizy (nie)grzeczności w dyskursie. (Nie)grzeczność nie jest zjawiskiem przypisanym do pojedynczych wypowiedzi, a jej dynamiczny charakter powoduje częściowo zmienność jej ocen wśród użytkowników. Korpus ma wielkość 10 mln słów w tekstach z lat 1750–2020. Teksty oryginalne polskie oraz niemieckie wraz z tłumaczeniami reprezentują prozę artystyczną, non-fiction, prasę i teksty prawne. Teksty zostały otagowane, zlematyzowane i wyrównane zdanie do zdania. W artykule prezentujemy interfejs przyjazny dla użytkownika niespecjalisty oraz możliwości wyszukiwania. Inaczej jest jednak w przypadku mikronacji – symulacji państwa w internecie. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest ukazanie sposobu tworzenia hierarchii społecznej w mikronacji na przykładzie Księstwa Sarmacji. Założono, że język i obraz są wyznacznikami statusu obywateli i obywatelek we wspomnianej wspólnocie. W celu weryfikacji tego założenia analizie poddano 40 profilów mikronautów i mikronautek. Die Studie verfolgt das Ziel, durch die Verbindung eines sozialpsychologischen Einstellungsmodells und der diskurslinguistischen toposbasierten Mehr-Ebenen-Analyse ein interdisziplinäres Analyseinstrumentarium zur diskursiven Ermittlung und detaillierten Beschreibung von (Sprach-)Einstellungen zu entwickeln, mit dem das widerspruchsvolle Konstrukt der Nationalsprache im kollektiven Denken in Belarus erfasst und Erkenntnisse für die Gestaltung sprachplanerischer Tätigkeit im Land gewonnen werden. Die ermittelte diskursive Argumentationsarchitektur kann als Referenzbasis bei der Aufstellung von Argumentationstypologien in Bezug auf indominante Nationalsprachen dienen. Zábranský","doi":"10.7311/tid.16.2022.17","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.7311/tid.16.2022.17","url":null,"abstract":"This paper explores the linguistic image of death (LID) of President Emil Hácha in selected Czech newspapers published in June and July 1945 (in Rudé právo and Svobodné slovo). The author verifies certain methods of cognitive linguistics studying the linguistic image of the world in articles thematically related to the passing of this representative of Czech national politics and his funeral. The following aspects are considered to be important: conceptual metaphors, the opposition of I versus the other, and the study of stereotypes and political ethics (conservative versus progressive: the model of the strict father morality versus the model of a caretaker). Before analysing president Hácha's LID, the author tries to place the president's death in a broader context, summarizing characteristic features of LID of imminent Czechoslovak presidents who governed the country in politically critical periods of its history: of T. G. Masaryk and E.
