This trend is expected to continue, and Scalable service-Oriented MiddlewarE over IP (SOME/IP), a communication protocol based on Service-oriented Architecture (SoA), is anticipated to gain widespread adoption. However, current IVN technologies such as Control Area Networks (CAN) will persistently be used alongside Ethernet. Consequently, the implementation of gateways that can convert different IVNs has become indispensable. The adoption of SOME/IP for communication between electronic control units (ECUs) holds the potential for an improved SoA. To enable SOME/IP communication between the gateway and ECUs, this paper proposes a gateway that converts protocols between Ethernet and CAN. The proposed gateway utilizes the similarity in the role of Service ID in SOME/IP and CAN ID. Moreover, this paper presents an evaluation of the time performance of the proposed gateway system.","PeriodicalId":220939,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Technical Conference on Circuits/Systems, Computers, and Communications (ITC-CSCC)","volume":"212 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121967714","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve segmentation, edge detection is a possible choice. However, if there is noise in image, edge might be ill-defined. Our algorithm for ill-defined edge detection is enhanced in this paper. In particular, we utilized the particle swarm optimization (PSO) in finding optimal parameters in the algorithm, rather than using manual settings as in the original work. There are two data sets, i.e., synthetic and carpal bone data sets, used in the experiment. We found that the intersection over union (IOU) on the blind test data set of the synthetic data set is $0.9200pm 0.0144$. The result on the blind test carpal bone data set is $0.9228pm 0.0592$. For the carpal bone data set, we compare the result with that from the original algorithm. The result shows that the enhanced method performs better than the original one. However, there is still a problem in misleading edge direction because of gradient and edge map generation.","PeriodicalId":220939,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Technical Conference on Circuits/Systems, Computers, and Communications (ITC-CSCC)","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124033989","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While the classical biquad experiences the fastest response for critical damping when <tex>$Q=0.5$</tex>, a similar response can be observed for the fractional circuit, but for larger values of <tex>$Q$</tex> depending on the <tex>$alpha$</tex> parameter. For <tex>$alpha < 1$</tex>, the response then settles faster than for the classical filter. Coupling conditions between the parameters <tex>$alpha$</tex> and <tex>$Q$</tex> are found that lead to the so-called pseudo-critical damping and critical underdamping.","PeriodicalId":220939,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Technical Conference on Circuits/Systems, Computers, and Communications (ITC-CSCC)","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129016331","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed encoder utilizes the generator matrix of CCSDS LDPC codes to simplify the encoding process and reduces the complexity of hardware implementation. The proposed encoder has two types. The first type aims to design a low-complexity architecture and flexibility. The second type presents high throughput architecture, allowing the user to choose the appropriate type according to their usage condition. The results of FPGA synthesis show that the proposed LDPC encoders achieve flexibility, low complexity, and high throughput.","PeriodicalId":220939,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Technical Conference on Circuits/Systems, Computers, and Communications (ITC-CSCC)","volume":"130 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126945843","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In an authors' previous work, MR-CSC-DMD was used to predict riverbed undulation from water surface observations, where the dynamic mode was analyzed without any groynes. An important mission in the project, however, is to elucidate the impact of Groynes' placement on river channel. To address this gap, this work applies MR-CSC-DMD to data collected by a river experimental setup with groynes. By analyzing the time series data of the water surface and riverbed undulation, a mathematical time evolution model of riverbed changes is developed by taking the groynes into account. It is shown that the presence of groynes affects the prediction performance of MR-CSC-DMD.","PeriodicalId":220939,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Technical Conference on Circuits/Systems, Computers, and Communications (ITC-CSCC)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130617052","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) communication system can be designed for the better protection from such impact than the single carrier communications systems. However, still, they can't withstand the high power interference signal. To make the good design for the active methods of resistance, an adaptive bit loading approach can significantly increase system performance in such interference channels. Therefore, OFDM based communication system with adaptive bit loading (ABL) is described. Bit error rate (BER) performance of the system is evaluated via computer simulations. Some problems of such approach are mentioned and discussed.","PeriodicalId":220939,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Technical Conference on Circuits/Systems, Computers, and Communications (ITC-CSCC)","volume":"257 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132147681","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, developing effective instance-aware inpainting methods that can generalize to various target instances is a significant challenge when large-scale datasets are not available. In this study, we compare the performance of two state-of-the-art approaches for instance-aware inpainting, namely instance-aware GAN (InstaGAN) and RePaint, a denoising diffusion probabilistic model, using small datasets. We chose these methods for comparison as GANs are widely used for image generation, while diffusion-based methods are gaining popularity for their ability to generate high-quality images. Our experiments show that RePaint outperforms InstaGAN in small-scale instance-aware inpainting tasks. RePaint utilizes a diffusion process that models the image pixel values as a random walk, which effectively removes noise and provides better results than InstaGAN's instance-aware GAN approach. The diffusion process also enables RePaint to handle a wide range of noise distributions, making it more versatile for inpainting tasks. Our results provide quantitative evidence that RePaint outperforms InstaGAN in small-scale instance-aware inpainting tasks, with a lower FID score and LPIPS score. These findings emphasize the importance of selecting the appropriate model for a given dataset and task.","PeriodicalId":220939,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Technical Conference on Circuits/Systems, Computers, and Communications (ITC-CSCC)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126467835","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
