The risk factors which have been incriminated in the appearance of tumors of the scalp are: chronic sun exposure, the presence of sebaceous nevi, a history of ionizing radiation, burns, trauma or surgery of the scalp. CT can confirm the cystic and tissue nature of the lesion with the presence of calcifications, signs of locoregional invasion. The diagnosis of certainty is based on the anatomopathological study. The principle of treatment of TTP without the metastasis is a wide surgical excision with a margin of 1 cm in normal tissue. Endocranial extension and distant metastases are obstacles to surgical treatment. We report a rare case of scalp tumors in a hospital setting in a 75-year-old woman.","PeriodicalId":219819,"journal":{"name":"Haya: The Saudi Journal of Life Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129372672","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A cross-sectional study was conducted using the Total Quality Tasks (TQT) questionnaire, which was completed by 76 healthcare practitioners. The TQT measures three dimensions of total quality management (TQM): Quality Practice (QP), Quality Faith (QF), and Quality Knowledge (QK). The results showed that the overall mean scores for QP, QF, and QK were 6.5, 6.2, and 2.3, respectively, indicating a medium level of TQM among the healthcare practitioners. There were significant differences in the mean scores of QP, QF, and QK based on gender and job title. No significant differences were found based on age, nationality, and experience. These findings suggest the need for interventions to improve TQM among healthcare practitioners, particularly for males and those in administrative positions. Future research should consider the inclusion of a larger sample size and multiple hospitals to further examine the influence of various factors on TQM among healthcare practitioners.","PeriodicalId":219819,"journal":{"name":"Haya: The Saudi Journal of Life Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125861686","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The amount of health outcomes that can be obtained with public healthcare spending must consequently be maximized. The debate of resource allocation in medical systems is crucial because, in systems with various financing sources, resources used to treat one sickness or person cannot be used to treat another condition or person. Initiatives to improve quality and safety are essential throughout the health care system. It is crucial to use a variety of process improvement strategies to spot inefficiencies and provide patients with unnecessary, yet preventable, carousing various techniques and tools for quality improvement, including as Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA), Six Sigma, and others. Several of the Global Sustainable Development Goals have included the idea of fairness in the delivery of health services, particularly the goal of universal health coverage. The efficiency of healthcare delivery at both the operational and system levels continue to be a topic of study as a result of rising healthcare expenditures and limited resources. Therefore, given little resources and complex population health needs, health planners and managers have had to struggle with striking a balance between the two.","PeriodicalId":219819,"journal":{"name":"Haya: The Saudi Journal of Life Sciences","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128793414","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Furthermore, nano-materials enhance the efficiency of farm production to enable site targeted regulated distribution of minerals, assuring the least amount of agri-input usage while enhancing crop output. Particularly in the agriculture industry, nanoscienceis crucial for agricultural production, food packaging and processing, water purification, nutrition security, and pollution control as well as crop development and plant preservation. NPs display a well-organized antibacterial activity towards bacteria and viruses. Important inorganic NPs with effective pesticide characteristics include silver, aluminum and copper. Chitosan nano-particles, ZnO nano-particles, and silica nano-particles are beneficial for the treatment of virus infection, including the mosaic virus in tobacco, potatoes, and alfalfa. The revitalization of the damaged soil resources may be possible using nano-enabled soil rehabilitation. The toxicity copper in soil is typically linked to soluble free metal ion species like Cu2+, that are easily accessible and extremely hazardous, in traditional forms of higher soil.","PeriodicalId":219819,"journal":{"name":"Haya: The Saudi Journal of Life Sciences","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126138298","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A total of 210 day-old broiler chicks were randomly allocated into various pens which consisted of 7 different groups (treatments) with each one having 30 birds. Treatment 1 birds served as the control and were offered commercial synthetic multi-vitamins (vitalyte) in their drinking water. Treatment 2 birds had 50ml moringa leaf extract (MLE) per liter of water while Treatments 3 was 50ml pumpkin leaf extract (PLE) per liter of water. Treatment 4 was 100ml MLE and 5, 100ml PLE. Treatment 6 birds had a mixture or a combination of MLE and PLE (50ml MLE+50ml PLE), while treatment 7 was also a mixture of MLE and PLE (100ml MLE+100ml PLE). Commercial broiler starter and finisher feeds were offered throughout the duration of the experiment. Data were collected on feed intake, weight gain, feed conversion ratio and water intake. On the last day, blood samples were collected for serum vitamins and minerals analysis. The results showed that the extracts significantly (P<0.05) affected all the parameters assessed. Growth parameters per chicken; final live weight gain (3044.65g), daily feed intake (97.06g) and feed conversion ratio (1.84) were best in chickens given 100ml/L MLE while other leaf extracts treated birds compared favorably with the vitalyte chickens. Chickens offered moringa and pumpkin leaves extracts had higher concentrations of the assayed vitamins and minerals; vitamins A, C, D and E; potassium, calcium, magnesium and iron except for sodium. It was therefore concluded that extracts of M. oleifera and pumpkin leaves could serve as organic substitutes to the synthetic commercial multivitamins (vitalyte) in broiler chicken nutrition. Also the residual effects of the use of synthetic vitamins will be reduced.","PeriodicalId":219819,"journal":{"name":"Haya: The Saudi Journal of Life Sciences","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121399790","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
