The sample consisted of 18 schools teachers teaching in different schools in Panchkula (Haryana), India. The study adopts a qualitative approach; one-hour in-depth interviews were carried out with the surveyed respondents. Results indicated the important structural changes that are taking place in India regarding the roles and responsibilities of teachers across every teaching levels. Important insights were obtained about factors responsible, challenges faced, and the benefits achieved as a result of adoption of online-teaching. Respondents also reported the support of their spouses, institution, and children which helped them in this transition from actual classroom teaching to virtual class room teaching during the Covid-19 pandemic whereby successive lockdowns were imposed by the governments across countries to mitigate its impact. Respondents perceived the crisis created by Covid-19 pandemic as the most significant reason to adopt online-teaching. A better understanding of issues pertaining to the adoption of online teaching will contribute to the development of new futuristic educational programs and policies.","PeriodicalId":217773,"journal":{"name":"VEETHIKA-An International Interdisciplinary Research Journal","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130313244","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The impact of smoking on research is being done on both the innate and adaptive immune responses. Adaptive and innate immune systems affected by smoking include T helper cells, regulatory cells, memory T/B lymphocytes and DCs, macrophages, NK cells, respectively. Smokers are showing highly different values of parameters like several NK cells, cytokines, leukocytes, granulocytes, monocytes etc., from controls. As a result, immunological responses are impeded and cellular and molecular processes are permanently impaired.","PeriodicalId":217773,"journal":{"name":"VEETHIKA-An International Interdisciplinary Research Journal","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129772536","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Plant-aphid interaction is a dynamic system that is always changing and varying. During their life cycle, several aphid species change their host plant. They travel between main and secondary host plant species in the spring and fall. This host shift has happened due to the phloem sap's nutritional importance and necessity for reproduction. According to certain experiments, the aphid parasitism impact reduces the number of inflorescences and the average weight of floral buds. With the aid of enzymatic adaptability and sequestering secondary metabolites, the host plant possesses biochemical and physical defence mechanisms. Aphids circumvent this by secreting Mixed Function Oxidase (MFO), which catalyses oxidative reactions, allowing them to eat, develop, and breed on their host plant.","PeriodicalId":217773,"journal":{"name":"VEETHIKA-An International Interdisciplinary Research Journal","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124972861","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to our study, current socio-economic circumstances in Indian Sundarban regions show that their lifestyle is unsuitable for low family income. This is due to large annual disasters such as cyclones, storms, floods, and the water's salinity. A network of rivers and canals connects the Sundarban. The majority of the population is reliant on fishing activity, and in particular, the livelihood of the local people is supported by capture fisheries, which are in turn reliant on fishing activity. During the study, fishers' homes received knowledge about various crafts and equipment through monthly visits. Fishers have used indigenous fishing techniques and gear in the Indian Sundarban areas to capture fish, increasingly contributing to the local economy and overall fish output. During the research period, five different kinds of crafts and twelve different kinds of gear were found. The study reveals different indigenous fishing gears used in the locality, such as nets, traps, lines and hooks. To catch various fish of various sizes, fishers employ a variety of fishing gears, each with a distinct form and size. Most fishermen in the area collect unripe fruits velvet apple (Diospyros sp.) from the forest and boil them in large pots with sufficient water. Nets and other traps are dried in the sun after being polished with an extract. The purpose of this article is to document fishery-related technical knowledge, particularly traditional fishing techniques and gears utilised in the Indian Sundarban area.","PeriodicalId":217773,"journal":{"name":"VEETHIKA-An International Interdisciplinary Research Journal","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122983915","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

And, that is possible only when we educate a woman that does not only mean a school’s conventional learning but also refers to every form of education that aims at improving the knowledge, and to develop the vocational skills. Women’s education and their empowerment is still a very hot topic of discussion in India that needs to be addressed for the development of the country. According to the statistics released by the latest census of 2011, India’s female literacy rate is 65.46%, significantly lower than the world average of 79.7% as well as approximately 15% lower than the literacy rate of men in India. China, India’s neighbour and the other global human resource powerhouse, precedes with 82.7% female literacy rate. Though The Right to Education (RtE) Act, introduced in 2009 making elementary education free and compulsory in the country, has been a shot in the arm for many, still the statistics do not sound good at all. Indeed, India has seen a rapid growth and the development of Women for Education in past years after implementing some women-friendly campaigns such as \"Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao\" so well but the Indian development model has yet to completely incorporate the important role played by women for propelling the socio-economic growth. Rather the culture of many Indian families of spending much more money on the marriages of the girls more than their education especially in higher and specialized education is pulling our country back-foot. Here, a big question also arises that how many Indian women are encouraged and aware about the government plans also for fostering Vocational and Technical education for girls as well as for providing them with the employability in different areas.
