These four concepts are dynamically examined in the context of wage code, 2019 and the recent three labor codes, 2020 passed in parliament by the central government to expand the neo-liberal global capitalism agenda to increase surplus rate via higher exploitation rate of workers. The paper also critically analyses the economic package announced by the government with insignificant share of fiscal policy measures rather monetary policy measures including loan and credit. Alternatively, this paper advocates a fiscal stimulus package to counter the challenges of lives and livelihood of the workers especially informal workers in the Indian labor market. This blameworthiness is known as guilty mind or to be more precise a blameworthy state of mind. There are many degrees or kinds of mens rea, with their corresponding levels of culpability like Intention, knowledge, recklessness, negligence, etc. The punishment decreases as the mens rea fall the ladder. The importance of mens rea in criminal jurisprudence is again stressed by the maxim “Actus reus non facit reum, nisi mens sit rea” which implies that “The act itself does not constitute guilt unless done with a guilty intent". Due to this elusiveness of Mens Rea, there is a disproportionate sentencing by the Courts which gives rise to injustice and violation of basic human rights and dignity of the victim. From time immemorial people have been interacting across the border and hence there have been marriages between individuals crossing the territorial boundary of country. Every country has its own legal system usually different from the legal system based on distinguish cultural, religious or political identity. In this situation if a dispute out of marriage will arise wherein parties are from different legal systems, the court will have to decide about according to which particular law and legal system such conflicting situation relating to marriage would be adjudicated. Private international law is a path to guide judicial courts encountering such situations and this paper is all about how judges have to exercise jurisdiction and private international law and further according to which set of law/s such matrimonial disputes/causes should be addressed. \u0000Person having different domicile, residence or nationality may enter into matrimonial relationship. At the time of marriage no one speculate any matrimonial dispute but emotion, relation and compatibility between emotion and relation is quite different things. Therefore, there is always risk/chance of fractions in every marriage. If parties to marriage are from the same legal system, then their dispute will be adjudicated according to their local substantive and procedural laws of their land. But, if such parties to marriage belong from different legal systems and further if they have married away from their own place viz. a third country, then the jurisdiction and the law to be applied in matrimonial disputes would be looked from the lenses of the private international law. \u0000Thereafter these relations can also culminate into matrimonial disputes which take its legal effect through various matrimonial causes. This research paper mainly aims to analyse the various matrimonial causes present in a matrimonial dispute involving a foreign element which shall come under private international law and various choices oflaw rules, with special emphasis on nullity of marriage. This paper shall also briefly discuss the concept and validity of marriage. This paper shall analyse the concept of matrimonial causes in conflict of law through the Indian perspective. As India is a common law country which is of a shared British heritage and developed in England so the various concepts as aforementioned shall also include comparison with the English law. This paper shall conclude with authors’ observations and suggestions.

The 21st century is sometimes referred to as “the information age” because of the tremendous growth in the variety of ways we use information. India is rapidly transforming into digital economy. India has also been affected by the digital revolution. Recognizing its importance and the potential for significant disruption in practically every area of society, Indian government devised and implemented the “Digital India” plan. India is on track to develop into a digital economy with a substantial market for foreign businesses. In January 2022, there were 658.0 million internet users in India. Between 2021 and 2022, there were 47 million more internet users in India (+8.2 percent). Internet penetration in India stood at 47.0% in January 2022. \u0000Data security and protection are crucial given the world’s increasing digitization. Processing of personal data is increasingly widespread, despite the fact that the shift to a digital economy is still in progress. Today’s digital environment makes it so that almost every action a person takes involves some sort of data transaction. New markets have emerged as a result of the Internet, particularly those whose business plans directly or indirectly involve the collection, organisation, and processing of personal data. \u0000It is pertinent and strange to mention the fact here that, “the world’s largest taxi company UBER owns no vehicles; Facebook, the world’s most popular social media platform, creates no content; Alibaba, the most valuable retailer, has no inventory; similarly, Airbnb, the world’s largest accommodation provider, owns no real estate”. All of these are the “Data Driven” and not the “information driven” companies. It indicates that the company collects, analyses, and applies data to make important decisions. It is a serious matter of concern around the world when it comes with right to privacy of an individual. This study deals with current data protection laws, challenges and reforms in India.

Some were referred by counsellors and some by family members and some were referred through their physicians as they refused to continue medication and were emotionally shattered. This document is about twenty such elderly people. Present psychological condition was comorbid with pre-existing medical condition of chronic Diabetes, hypertension and Arthritis. There routine medication as prescribed by their physicians continued and were not altered in any respect. They were only worked on the psychologically morbid symptoms that were affecting their wellbeing. A pre-test was done by administering WHO-5, a reliable and valid measure to screen wellbeing of individuals. The findings showed poor wellbeing. Psychotherapy and cognitive restructuring strategies were used in the intervention process. Psychotherapy helped in developing a deeper insight into the past events that were causing psychological turbulences in the present. Cognitive restructuring strategies were used to address the cognitive distortions. The findings indicated a significantly positive outcome and improvement in wellbeing when tested pre-post on WHO-5 scale. These techniques helped in alleviating symptoms of stress, depressive episodes, generalised anxiety and helped in regulating emotions, behaviour, and cognitions. They were also able to get to a functional state in dealing with loss of their loved ones. They moved on from helplessness to strength to self-acceptance. Conclusively, Psychotherapy and cognitive restructuring are effective in improving wellbeing of geriatric survivors dealing with psychological, affective and cognitive issues in post covid recovery period.
