An inevitability is that where there is a change there are also challenges in the conditions of that change. The obstacle to the implementation of Al-Qur'an learning during the Covid-19 pandemic for class VIII students at SMP Techno Insan Kamil Tuban is when online it is difficult to condition students who are at home to recite the Koran due to lack of parental control in paying attention to children to recite the Koran, lack of discipline. students in taking online Koran lessons, lack of student motivation for Koran lessons because they are more concerned with general subjects so that they recite only modestly, Students do not pay attention to corrections from asatidz. And the obstacle when offline learning is the lack of time in recitation activities because offline the teacher teaches students with different Koran achievements, students sometimes talk alone because they have been at home for long and have never met their friends and the lack of student motivation in the Koran so that they sometimes do not bring students' sense of connection books or students' memorization books. (4) (a) Solutions to overcome obstacles during online learning are: Establishing good communication with all guardians to support learning activities at home by controlling their children to always follow learning regularly offline, always registers students who participate or do not participate in online learning so that teachers can take action for students who have never participated in online learning, provide motivation to parents and guardians about the importance of the Koran so that parents pay special attention to learning the Koran, motivate students to be important The importance of being able to recite the Koran so that students are diligent in participating in Koran learning, always changing the online learning method if there is one method that is not appropriate, the ustadz always records student achievements every day and students are given achievement cards written by students themselves. The implementation of character education in Indonesia cannot be separated from the educational institutions owned by NU and Muhammadiyah. The two large organizations have been around for a long time and prioritize the process of implementing character education. These implementation efforts are accompanied by ways, programs or strategies for internalizing the value of character education itself. This article tries to provide a description of the findings of the strategy for internalizing the values of character education in NU and Muhammadiyah educational institutions, namely MTs Hidayatush Syibyan as an educational institution owned by NU and MTs Muhammadiyah 1 located in Palang sub-district. Which in the process of internalizing values, MTs Hidayatush Sybyan does it through a habituation approach or approach to learning activities and extracurricular activities, exemplary of a teacher, direction and guidance, cooperation with parents of students, and finally through the enforcement of madrasa rules. While the strategy for internalizing character education values at MTs Muhammadiyah 1 is through a strategy of integrating character values into the curriculum or all subjects, advice by leaders and teachers to students, civilizing madrasas, through student discipline, teacher example, and finally through habituation. Although these two Liberal figures have different views; namely John Locke is referred to as the main character of empiricism in education and John Dewey is referred to as an instrumental figure in education, but in O'neil's book these two figures fall into the category of Liberal figures, both of which complement each other. Of course, a school has its own characteristics that make a difference in efforts to instill character values in the madrasa. For this reason, this paper provides the perspective of similarities and differences in character values that are instilled in each school, both NU and Muhammadiyah. The results showed that the internalization of character values carried out by MTs Hidayatush Sybyan Cendoro was 20 character values. The 20 character values consist of 18 character values formulated by the Ministry of National Education, namely religious character, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, national spirit, love for the homeland, respect for achievement, friendly/communicative, love peace, love to read, care for the environment, care for social, responsibility and 2 values of faith and piety as local values of madrasas. While at MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Karangagung there are 18 character values that refer to the Ministry of National Education in the form of religious character, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, national spirit, love for the homeland, respect for achievement, friendly/communicative , loves peace, likes to read, cares about the environment, cares about social, responsibility. The similarities in instilling character values into students at MTs Hidayatush Sybyan Cendoro and MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Karangagung are both instilling 18 character values referring to the Ministry of National Education. The difference is that there is an additional character value, namely the value of faith and piety at MTs Hidayatush Sybyan Cendoro called transcendental value which when students are strong in these two values can provide positive encouragement and other character values can be embedded. {"title":"The Comparison Of Students’ Academic Achievement Taught Using Jigsaw Versus Demonstration On Students’ Different Self-Confidence","authors":"Imam Azhar, Nafilatur Rohmah","doi":"10.58518/darajat.v4i1.645","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.58518/darajat.v4i1.645","url":null,"abstract":"The study investigated the effect of jigsaw cooperative learning method and students’ self-confidence on students’ academic achievement in fiqih in seventh grade of Junior Islamic High School. Three research questions and three hypothesis guided the study. The study used factorial design 2 x 3 which was a part of quasi experimental design. The subject research was 61 students that was devided into two groups by random assignment sampling. The instruments of study consisted questionaire and test. The questionaire was used to obtain the data of self-confidence, while test was used to gain the data of students’ academic achievement (outcomes). The questionaire contained 20 questions in accordance with compatibility and incompatibility of reaserch sample with the existing statement item while the test instrument contained 25 multiple choice questions. Both of instruments were pilot tested on the students to determine its usability as well as to gain its validity and realiability. The independent sample t-test was used to measure the mean scores of differences between achievement scores of experiment group and control group on pretest while the paired sample t-test was used to measure to measure the mean scores differences between achievement scores of experiment and control group on posttest. The two way analysis of varian (two-way anova) was used to measure the main effect (different teaching methods on students’ academic achievement) and interaction effect (different teaching methods and self-confidence on students’ academic achievement). The risults shew that jigsaw cooperative learning method helps students to obtain higher academic achievement than demontration teaching method. The risult was also revealed that the academic achievement of experiment group that at higer self-confidence gets higher score than another one. Lastly, there was not significant interaction effect between the two variables (teaching methods and self-confidence) on students’ academic achievement. Otherwise, it indicated that the two variables had a separate effect.
