For validation with experts, we used the Health Education Content Validation Index developed in a virtual environment. For the target audience, we used a questionnaire with questions related to organization, writing style, appearance, and motivation.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>thirty-two experts and 13 PrEP users participated in the study. The analysis was structured on the principles of descriptive statistics, and domains that presented a Content Validity Index equal to or greater than 0.80 were considered satisfactory. Data collected through structured participant observation, consultation of public documents and records of the Mortality Information System.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>89 deaths were investigated and discussed, of which 64 (71.9%) were attributed to COVID-19 as the underlying cause and 14 (15.7%) were reclassified. The investigation was carried out by telephone call and consultation of medical records. The technical group identified errors in 52 (58.4%) deaths. The online discussions and recommendations to managers had uncertain frequency.</p><p><strong>Final considerations: </strong>Death surveillance revealed improvements in the causes of death and recommended preventive measures to reduce mortality. The reassignment of professionals was observed, affecting the frequency of discussions and the implementation of recommendations. Methodological quality was assessed using the Critical Appraisal Skills Program, and levels of evidence were determined using Fineout-Overholt. Primary studies were included and clinical trial protocols were excluded. The results were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively, resulting in two categories.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>of the studies selected, four dealt with educational technologies related to sexual behavior and reproductive planning, while five addressed the puerperal pregnancy cycle. The Questionnaire for Assessment of Violence at Work and the Self-Report Questionnaire were used. The Wilcoxon, chi-square, and Fisher's exact tests were used for analysis.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>The threat variable had a statistically significant difference (p = 0.031). The interviews were recorded and analyzed using the thematic content analysis technique.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>the data were analyzed and grouped into five empirical categories: Descriptions of sexuality; Difficulties in addressing sexuality; Importance of addressing sexuality among older adults; Professional indicated to address sexuality; and Older adults' perceptions about sexuality according to healthcare professionals.</p><p><strong>Final considerations: </strong>the study demonstrated that professionals face difficulties in addressing sexuality among older adults, which reinforces the stereotype of asexuality. Four predominant factors in relation to period poverty were observed: factors associated with period poverty; impacts of period poverty; menstrual hygiene management; and coping strategies.</p><p><strong>Conclusions: </strong>period poverty is a public health and human rights issue, especially for people in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability. Despite the growing international commitment to focus on promoting menstrual health, it still does not receive adequate emphasis.
