Individuals with rheumatoid arthritis undergoing treatment for at least three months were included. A sociodemographic questionnaire, the Appraisal of Self-Care Agency Scale-Revised, and the Pharmacotherapy Complexity Index were used. Analytical statistics were applied using percentiles, the Shapiro-Wilk test, post hoc analysis, ANOVA, and the Kruskal-Wallis test.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>the sample consisted of 96 individuals. The mean self-care and pharmacotherapy complexity scores were at intermediate levels, 56.33 and 18.29, respectively. We conducted a scoping review, resulting in a final sample of 31 articles.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>the findings identified five essential attributes, 30 antecedents, and nine clinical consequences. Five auricular laser acupuncture sessions were performed. Data were collected at the beginning and end of treatment, and in a period of 15 days after the end (follow-up), analyzed by paired Wilcoxon test.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>auricular laser acupuncture was effective in reducing levels of anxiety, stress, fatigue and improving sleep latency. There was no statistically significant difference in muscle tension threshold. The study revealed a downward trend in tobacco and alcohol consumption among adolescents. There was a notable increase in glue, varnish and solvent consumption, which surpassed consumption cannabis/hashish consumption.</p><p><strong>Conclusions: </strong>initial substance consumption occurs predominantly in a social context and begins in early adolescence. The second part reflects on how to record obstetric violence on the Individual Reporting Form for Interpersonal and Self-Inflicted Violence, even though there is no specific field for recording this violence.</p><p><strong>Final considerations: </strong>underreporting cases of obstetric violence negatively compromises the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals - specifically with regard to goal 5 \"Gender Equality\" and goals 3 \"Health and Well-being\" and 10 \"Reduced Inequalities\", but it is possible to report. Statistical analysis was performed using Pearson's chi-squared test and Poisson regression. All variables with p-values less than 0.2 were included in the regression model.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>of the 300 postpartum women, 223 (74.3%) had inadequate prenatal tests, with a higher percentage of inadequate urine tests. {"title":"Social reproduction and health: contributions from Breilh and Lukács to social thinking in collective health.","authors":"Diego de Oliveira Souza","doi":"10.1590/0034-7167-2024-0428","DOIUrl":"10.1590/0034-7167-2024-0428","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong>Objective: </strong>To analyze the relationship between social reproduction and health based on the theories of Jaime Breilh and Georg Lukács.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>This is a theoretical-conceptual study grounded in the immanent analysis of works by these authors.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>It was found that, for Breilh, social reproduction establishes the dimensional frameworks for the social determination of health: general, particular, and individual. The author also defines essential principles for transforming life: sustainability, sovereignty, solidarity, and integral security. Lukács, in turn, emphasizes the mediation between the reproduction of individuals and society, highlighting the primacy of labor, which produces use-value. Within this relationship, alienating mediations may emerge, leading to human degradation, including health impacts.</p><p><strong>Final considerations: </strong>Both perspectives offer elements for rethinking health practices. The analysis included: item-total correlation, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha and test-retest. Parallel analysis was used to adjust dimensionality. Evidence of the validity of relationships with other variables was verified through the correlation between the PSAS, the Edinburgh Postpartum Depression scale and the Trait-State Anxiety Inventory.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>the removal of eight items improved the quality of fit of the baseline model without affecting reliability. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, content validity index and calculation of the percentage of agreement.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>27 indicators were validated for nursing management in blood transfusion, with a content validity index higher than 0.80 and a percentage of agreement higher than 80%.
