Data was collected from 388 British online shopping consumers using a structured self-administrated questionnaire. Structural equation modeling (SEM) showed that behavioural intention (BI) was influenced by performance expectancy (PE), convenience (CON), service quality (SerQ), trust (TR), product guarantee (PG), product guarantee (PRDV) and compatibility (COMP), in their order of influencing strength and all together accounted for 70.4% of the variance in BI. Contrary to the authors' expectations, effort expectancy (EE) and social influence (SI) did not have an influence on BI. The implications of this article to both theory and practice is discussed at the end.","PeriodicalId":208567,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Technol. The technology acceptance model (TAM), which has greatly been used in literature, failed to consider some cultural particularities of such software. Furthermore, most research has focused on the acceptance of foreign technologies in Africa. The primary objective of this article, is to investigate the validity of TAM for locally developed software within a community. The article utilizes quantitative methodology based on data gathered using a modified version of a published survey instrument; as well as Short Message Service for the collection of qualitative data. The findings concur with previous studies on technology acceptance and the raises interests on the use of qualitative data for understanding the context of technology acceptance.","PeriodicalId":208567,"journal":{"name":"Int. A research questionnaire was administered to potential respondents in Municipal, Metropolitan and District Assemblies (MMDAs). The data was analyzed with SPSS while the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was used as the theoretical framework for this study. The results demonstrated that, apart from education, demographic factors such as age and gender were all significant and have a direct impact on intention to use local e-government services. Predictors such as perceived ease of use, perceived service quality, and trust were also found to be significant in influencing the use of local e-government services but interestingly, computer self-efficacy has no significant impact on the intention to use local e-government services. The implications of these findings on local e-government implementation are further discussed.","PeriodicalId":208567,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Technol. Adoption of technology in general and Internet Banking Technology IBT in particular leads to decrease in coordination cost and increase in efficiency of banking process. Indian economy has experienced rapid growth over the last decade, developing Internet Banking Technology IBT for transforming the traditional lines of banking products and services. This shift has brought profound challenges and opportunities to both bank and its customers. The banks have utilized the potential of technology to provide new proficiencies in banking. Customers have found in IBT a new ease to do the financial transaction. However, it was observed from various literatures that there are high levels of uncertainties related to IBT adoption. This research attempts to formulate an integrated framework to investigate the factors of IBT adoption in India.","PeriodicalId":208567,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Technol. Financial institutions like banks have not been able to control and contain the rapid increases of the credit defaulting. In this paper, we address the credit lending challenges by eliminating credit defaulting faced by the banking industry. Data from bank of previously accepted and rejected loan applicants was used to construct a credit risk evaluation network. The artificial neural network technique with back-propagation algorithm was applied to develop a model that supports the banks in the credit granting decision-making. The model was trained to categorize applicants as either good (credit granted) or bad (credit denied) based on the credit record. The model was able to predict whether a particular applicant is likely or unlikely to repay the credit. The training of neural network model and validation testing was done using data obtained from the bank. The results show a greater performance, classification and prediction accuracy.","PeriodicalId":208567,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Technol. With the rapid growth of the electronic market, the main challenge for online sellers is the ability to analyze customer expectation, market data, and sales information to make the accurate procurement decision. The proposed model integrates a mathematical structure for a target season sale comprising upcoming demand projection by seller's internal team, data from past sales and the overall trend of seller's e-brand to determine the online customer demand. The study proposed a newsvendor model as a tool for sellers to make the instantaneous decision of ordering merchandise from the supplier when the quick response to the customer order is a priority for electronic market. Results of the study provide insights into the procurement dynamics and implications of the e-commerce inventory plan.","PeriodicalId":208567,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Technol. To date, there are few studies relating to unstructured text data that investigate the factors that influence government and mobile apps' usage and adoption. To address this issue, we conducted our research and developed the Natural Language Processing Model to sequentially analyze our unstructured text data, which we collected from MetricsCat's website. Our results from text analysis show that some of the most influential factors in why users adopt and use government apps are the quality of the app, the app's usefulness, whether or not the app is informative, and whether or not the app remains up to date. Our research contains practical and research implications for key government officials and designers of mobile apps.","PeriodicalId":208567,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Technol.
