It was showing that a capsulated filler particle has better interaction with polymer matrix than non capsulated particles. So, the tensile strength and hardness of PCM are increasing, but ultimate deformation is decreasing. The strength characteristics of PCM with partial dissolution of copper (I) oxide particles by the components of the polyester resin was decrease. The density of the polymer binder network due to the loss of styrene, as well as the formation of complexes of copper salts are the cause of strength characteristics decrease.","PeriodicalId":204165,"journal":{"name":"All the Materials. During accelerated aging tests in the temperature range from 110 to 150 °С, the change in the mechanical and thermal properties of the elastomeric samples was monitored. The sample properties were controlled by measuring the following characteristics: the relative elongation at break (REB), the indentation modulus of elasticity (IME), the oxidative induction temperature, and the oxidative induction time. To simulate a REB change during the aging, an empirical kinetic equation was used, which reflects the three stages of elastomer aging: finish cross-linking, inhibited oxidation and non-inhibited oxidation. The developed model was validated, and a forecast of the REB of the shell elastomer for the maximum operating temperature of low-voltage cables’ operation, stipulated by technical documents is presented. The possibility of a non-destructive testing and prediction of the cable state, using IME is demonstrated. A system of models associated with each other with common physical parameters has been developed. It includes both the models describing a change in the mechanical properties in the course of the thermal aging and the thermal-oxidative parameters of the polymer composition based on ethylene vinyl acetate.","PeriodicalId":204165,"journal":{"name":"All the Materials. The addition of the «liquid» phase components to the polymer matrix leads to a change in the property complex of the composite, and the features of the chemical and molecular structure of the materials of the «liquid» phase contribute to a change in the characteristics of the phase transition. The impact strength is one of the criteria for evaluating the properties of composites based on polymer matrices. The results of testing carbon fiber plastics with various types of hybrid matrices (formed by various components of the «liquid» phase) for impact strength after exposure at temperatures (20±2) and –30 °C are presented. The influence of the «liquid» phase components on an change in impact strength and loss of impact strength of the composite after exposure to negative temperature conditions was evaluated. Samples with an anaerobic polymer material as part of a hybrid matrix have the highest average impact strength, while the absence of loss of impact strength after exposure to negative temperatures is observed in samples with synthetic wax.","PeriodicalId":204165,"journal":{"name":"All the Materials.
