Use prospects of secondary nonwoven fabrics as reinforcing filler of composites in mechanical engineering

Statistical data on consumption of nonwoven fabrics for the period of the COVID-19 pandemic has been analyzed. A review of scientific investigations in the field of reuse of secondary nonwoven polymer materials was carried out and the possibilities of their application as a reinforcing filler of polymer composite materials used in the manufacture and repair of machines were considered. The ways of solving the problems of accumulation of waste of nonwoven polymer materials in the environment are described.
