Starting with the period of 1946 year to present, more than 70% of womens scientistes-researchers from the section Selection and improvement of the fruit and shrubs were involved in scientific research in the field of fruit bushes: Dr. Dushutina Xenia (years 1946–1964), Dr. hab. Maciucova Olga (years 1958–1974), Dr. Policarpova Lilia (years 1958–1975); of the group of shrubs within the section Fruit nursery: Dr. Policarpova Lilia (year 1976–1989), Belous Nadejda (years1980–1984), Sava Parascovia (years 1982– 1984). Scientific-practical research has continued in the Shrubs crops laboratory (IP SPIHFT) from 1985 year – to present by Dr. hab. Sava Parascovia and collaboratores: Bondarenco Parascovia, Tcaci Valentina, Socolova Galina, Gheorghita Nina, Caterenciuc Cristina, Calaras Cristina, Rusnac Cristina, Gherasimova Elena. Throughout the development period of the Institute, the scientific and practical research was carried out regarding the study and creation of varieties, improvement, modernization and implementation of technologies for the fruits production and nursery. During the research period the scientiste: Dushutina Xenia, were created 4 new strawberry varieties (Mergeli, Frumusica, Orighinalinaia and Chishiniovscaia), was selected one local strawberry variety – Moldovanka, and one local raspberry variety – Chishiniovscaia. Vinifera prin selecție fitosanitară","authors":"Marcela Dubceac, Victor Bondarciuc, Olga Sultanova, Evghenii Haustov","doi":"10.53082/1857-3142.23.89.06","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.53082/1857-3142.23.89.06","url":null,"abstract":"Phytosanitary selection is a means of eliminating diseased individuals with negative traits, preventing the spread of diseases, and selecting plants that are less susceptible to diseases, which greatly ensures the increase in productivity and quality of grape production. All stages of phytosanitary selection have been carried out: visual observation, biotype testing, sanitation of selected plants, multiplication through in vitro culture, growth and fortification of plants in greenhouse conditions, which allowed obtaining virus-free, phytoplasma-free and bacterial cancer-free grapevine clones from 14 mass and 19 technical varieties (phytosanitary clones). The results of biotype testing showed a widespread distribution of virotic diseases and bacterial cancer in asymptomatic form: Grapevine fleck (15–65%), Rhizobium vitis (26–44%), GLRaV-1 (8–26%), GLRaV-3 (7–39%). Of the biotypes with negative tests, 6 from native varieties, 6 from European varieties, 23 from new selections and 2 forms were selected. For the sanitation of the selected material after testing, thermotherapy was applied at to 51 oC for 45 min. Thanks to the in vitro method, 7 239 grapevine clones from native, European and new selection varieties were multiplied, with which the mother plantation of the nuclear stock was founded. The plantation is located on irrigated land with the usual black soil type on an area of 0.052 ha. The varieties Titania (control), Tiben and Tisel were selected for the study, which differ from each other by different periods of fruiting, structure, resistance to diseases, mass and shape of the fruits, there fore, and different productivity, which are to be studied on during the research period. For the planting of these varieties, a planting model was chosen that had not been previously cultivated in the area. Different variants and planting schemes were used: in one line and in two lines (zig-zag).
