The observed currents decrease for higher values of the forming field and temperature and eventually become anomalous. These characteristics are considered to be due to the screening effect of the space charge formed near the electrodes. The TSDC (thermally stimulated depolarization current) characteristic have been found to be sensitive to blend composition.<<ETX>>","PeriodicalId":199976,"journal":{"name":"6th International Symposium on Electrets,(ISE 6) Proceedings.","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1988-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128570506","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The origin of rho /sub 2/ is free charge injected from the electrodes, while rho /sub 1/ could be associated with a uniform bulk mechanism. The p/sub 1/ peak has a been located in electrets metallized on both sides and polarized, between 73 degrees C and 79 degrees C, only in the isothermic phase, so that at T/sub p/>79 degrees C it overlaps with rho . The stimulated crystallization by thermal steps in amorphous PET samples, metallized on both sides, indicates that rho /sub 1/ changes with the crystallinity and becomes the alpha /sub c/ relaxation of the crystalline PET.<<ETX>>","PeriodicalId":199976,"journal":{"name":"6th International Symposium on Electrets,(ISE 6) Proceedings.","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1988-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122021047","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

FEP charged with 30-50-keV electrons can attain internal electrostatic fields that approach the dielectric strength. Fission of /sup 235/U by thermal neutrons produces fission fragments with energies of 60-100 MeV that deposit their energy in 20-40 mu m of FEP. This induces charge-pair production and a temporary radiation-induced conduction path detectable with conventional radiation detection electronics. The AC poling at elevated temperatures considerably enhances the dielectric constant and is found to be a more efficient way of poling composite films than conventional DC poling. Anomalous TSDCs flowing in the same direction as the charging current, observed in electrets poled above 100 degrees C, are attributed to injected space charges and the blocking condition of the electrodes. Experimental data indicate that as the carrier mobility increases with the temperature and as the density of injected space charge increases with the applied field, a high charging field and a high temperature result in a high rate of return of carriers to the injecting electrode.<<ETX>>","PeriodicalId":199976,"journal":{"name":"6th International Symposium on Electrets,(ISE 6) Proceedings.","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1988-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129437453","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
