Investigations of structural changes in PVDF by modified X-ray texture methods

Abstract

Structural changes in the alpha -phase of poly(vinylidenefluoride) (PVDF) due to poling have been investigated. Besides the conversion of the nonpolar alpha -phase into the polar alpha /sub p/-phase, a change of the orientation state is observed. The effects can be separated. Conclusions are drawn regarding the molecular mechanism of polarization.<>
