The presented material highlights a clinical case of managing a patient who underwent surgical treatment in the gynecological department with a diagnosis of “Retrocervical endometriosis. Stage 4. Cyst of the left ovary. Pain syndrome”. The presented clinical case emphasizes the need to choose surgical treatment at the right time and in full. The treatment tactics we have chosen testifies to the positive effect of the radical removal of all lesions both to reduce pain, relapse risk and to increase pregnancy percentage. In addition, the choice of a drug for postoperative therapy is extremely important, its sufficient duration in terms of preventing endometriosis relapse. The disease is a general medical problem, as it is associated with infertility and chronic pelvic pain that impairs the quality of life of young women. Endometriosis remains one of the main pathological diseases in women of reproductive age. Patients diag-nosed with endometriosis need monitoring and constant therapy even after radical treatments throughout their lives. It is necessary to carry out adequate therapy for endometriosis and find the optimal ratio of surgical and medical treatment individually for each patient.","PeriodicalId":199692,"journal":{"name":"Tambov Medical Journal","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125078544","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Inflammatory periodontal tissue diseases during pregnancy occur in more than 90% of cases and often tend to progress. Inflammatory periodontal tissue diseases, especially in pregnant women, are not only a medical problem, but also a social one that requires an interdisciplinary approach. Pregnancy is a special condition of a woman's body, in which a new life is born in her. However, despite the miraculous transformation, the body of the expectant mother is experiencing significant changes that do not always improve her health. During pregnancy, occurred hormonal restructuring of the body worsens blood supply and weakens the immune system. In the saliva of expectant mothers, the concentration of calcium and phosphorus decreases, which makes the tooth enamel more vulnerable and accessible to the development of caries. During pregnancy in a woman's body, especially in the third trimester, there are changes in the vitamin mineral complex, and especially the calcium-phosphorus metabolism changes. This circumstance is because more than 90% of calcium in the last stages of pregnancy is directed to the mineralization of the bones of the skeleton of the unborn child.","PeriodicalId":199692,"journal":{"name":"Tambov Medical Journal","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116526029","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The work will focus on radio diagnosis of COVID-19 pneumonia. Several studies have been carried out on the problem of diagnosing community-acquired pneumonia, and new data are constantly emerging on various aspects of this issue. Regular updating of knowledge on this subject is necessary. Specialists use diagnostic radiology methods to detect pneumonia very often, including those caused by the new coronavirus infection COVID-19. These methods are also used to assess the complications of the disease, differential diagnosis with other lung diseases, as well as to determine the severity and dynamics of changes, to evaluate the effectiveness of therapy. Radiation methods are also needed to detect and evaluate the nature of pathological changes in other anatomical areas and as a means of control for invasive medical interventions. This research is also aimed at highlighting the most important criteria for radio diagnosis of pathological changes in the lungs in patients with pneumonia (including those caused by a new coronavirus infection) according to national and foreign authors.","PeriodicalId":199692,"journal":{"name":"Tambov Medical Journal","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129758652","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Significant differences in the studied regions were revealed when comparing the proportions of different types of transport injuries with a significant predominance of automobile injuries in the Saratov Region and a greater frequency of railway injuries and injuries on two-wheeled vehicles in the Tambov Region. Most significantly, these differences were in children aged 12–17 years, among whom in the Tambov region all types of transport and automobile inju-ries were distributed almost evenly, and in the Saratov Region, this age group was significantly dominated by passenger injury with a slight frequency of other injury types. We note regional pe-culiarities in the ratio of types of car injuries, manifested in a greater proportion of dead pedestrian children in the Saratov Region, child passengers in the Tambov Region. Similar indicators in the structure of children's transport injuries in the regions were the ratio of the proportions of boys and girls, seasonality and the proportion of alcohol-associated injury cases.","PeriodicalId":199692,"journal":{"name":"Tambov Medical Journal","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124377461","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We discuss features of the style of speech influence and the forms of their manifestation in dentistry. The issue and causes of dental anxiety, fear, dentophobia are analyzed. Correlation between dentophobia, oral health and quality of life of patients is shown. The most vulnerable group of patients is children: repeated conflicts between a doctor and a child lead to an irresistible fear in the patient, discredit. Practitioners should understand the etiology of dental phobia, its causes, tools for prevention and correction. The comprehensive programs of dental and psychological care are necessary: doctors need to improve communication skills, among which the techniques and methods of speech impact on the patient. Researchers point to the possibility of using «soft» tactics – fawning, persuasion, and “hard” ones, for example, pressure. It is important to understand the individual typological characteristics of the patient, in particular: personality traits, features of interpersonal perception. The main tool for the prevention and correction of the state of dentophobia in children is speech influence, communication in the “doctor–patient” system. The doctor must be able to use various models, styles, tactics and strategies of professional interaction in a personalized way.","PeriodicalId":199692,"journal":{"name":"Tambov Medical Journal","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124721493","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since the health of citizens is the supreme value, creation of modern, flexible and efficient health care system is the most important element of state policy and national security. The COVID-19 pandemic has led to serious changes in the trajectory of demographic development in the Tambov Region. These changes not only affect the reproduction of the population, but also lead to the aggravation of many social and economic problems. In this regard, the research purpose is to systematize health care practices in the Tambov Region. Materials and methods of research. The research methods in this article involve systematization of materials describing global demographic trends in the COVID-19 pandemic that have characterized population reproduction in recent decades, collection and evaluation of existing medical evidence. Results. The economics of the COVID-19 pandemic are significantly affected by increased morbidity and mortality, declining fertility and, consequently, population growth, life expectancy, and changes in other demographic parameters. The issues associated with the pandemic-induced change in the trajectory of demographic development and its socioeconomic consequences have been studied by researchers around the world. Conclusions. We analyze the general demographic situation in the Tambov Region during the COVID-19 pandemic. Weaknesses are identified and recommendations for improving the demographic situation in the new coronavirus infection are given. An important aspect of the COVID-19 pandemic analysis is morbidity and mortality in the region. Estimates of the magnitude and specificity of these demographic changes are also presented in terms of gender and age.","PeriodicalId":199692,"journal":{"name":"Tambov Medical Journal","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114271201","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Wound infection and purulent-inflammatory diseases of soft tissues in surgery are an urgent problem that requires an integrated approach to treatment. One of the key factors to eliminate this pathology is drainage. The purpose of this review is to study the principles and methods of drainage used, in particular those used in the treatment of purulent soft tissue wounds. To study this issue, we analyzed the educational and applied literature, scientific literature from List of HAC, databases SCOPUS, RSCI, ESCI, CAS, PUBMED. We note the results of applying various drainage methods. A surgical operation does not always lead to the complete elimination of the inflammatory process, which can be aggravated by the appearance of exudation, natural necrosis, and the development of pathogenic microflora. To ensure in the postoperative period a complex cleansing of the wound from exudate, necrosis products, microbial flora, different drainage methods are used. After studying the current literature, one can not only be convinced of the need for drainage, but also clearly trace the development of drainage principles that are aimed at combining physical and pharmacological methods of wound cleaning with the maximum possible elimination of the negative iatrogenic factor.","PeriodicalId":199692,"journal":{"name":"Tambov Medical Journal","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133324733","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A feature of the course of coronavirus infection is its unpredictable nature and severity. In this regard, it became necessary to use targeted and powerful means of pathogenetic therapy. The lack of a specific treatment for COVID-19 brought to mind the possibility of passive immunotherapy, first through the transfusion of convalescent donor plasma, and then the plasma of vaccinated individuals. The purpose of such therapy is to introduce covid antibodies into the recipient's blood to neutralize the virus. At the same time, the question remains about the effectiveness of this treatment method in patients in serious and extremely serious condition in the intensive care unit of the COVID center. According to various studies, anticovid plasma is suitable for use in patients at the initial stages of the disease and in the presence of immunodeficiency in the patient. At the same time, the overall mortality in the intensive care unit and intensive care among severe and extremely severe patients may not decrease.","PeriodicalId":199692,"journal":{"name":"Tambov Medical Journal","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126923544","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
