This article proposes a new multi-carrier modulation approach to use Haar and Daubechies (Db2) wavelet-based stationary wavelet transform (SWT) in place of FFT because of no cyclic prefix, high spectral efficiency, less bandwidth usage, and its performance comparison of conventional transforms techniques such as FFT, DWT with SWT in an OFDM transceiver for Long term Evolution (LTE) in Stanford University Interim (SUI) channel models with zero-forcing equalization technique in the receiver section. The proposed system was tested with different modulation constellations such as PSK, QPSK, 64, and 128-QAM with 3GPP specifications for two users with user equipment data, ETU parameters (Extended typical urban) ETU-70 Hz, and calculated the BER. The antenna has a size of0. 67 λl× 0.67 λl× 0. 13λl, at frequency of 25.25 GHz. The antenna consists of two rectangular slots (R1 and R2) in the radiating patch, which independently resonates at single band and quad band, respectively. The proposed antenna operates at 25.25, 27.97, 31.0 and 33.25GHz, with fractional bandwidth of at 0.71% (25.15-25.33GHz), 1.29% (27.74-28.1GHz), 1.03% (30.85-31.17GHz) and 1.63% (32.99-33.53GHz). Metallic switch placed in the middle of rectangular slot (R2) helps in achieving frequency reconfigurability. When the metallic switch is ON antenna resonates at single band and when the switch is OFF antenna resonates at quad band. The antenna evinces good impedance matching, gain and stable radiations characteristics across their operational bands.","PeriodicalId":196343,"journal":{"name":"2020 Third International Conference on Advances in Electronics, Computers and Communications (ICAECC)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117021460","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The specifications defined by AMBA provide many advantages such as right-first-time development and technology independence for design of high performance chipsets. The main focus in this paper is on two protocols - Advanced Highperformance Bus (AHB) and Advanced peripheral Bus (APB). Keeping in mind that these specifications are an open standard, we aim to develop an AMBA AHB-APB bridge from Register Transfer Level (RTL) to Graphical Display System (GDSII) using only open source tools and libraries. The proposed design is developed with Verilog Hardware Definition Language (HDL), followed by compilation and functional simulation. Physical design is performed after verification to obtain graphical display of the bridge module. Detailed analysis of the results obtained indicates that open source options are viable to test various digital designs obviating the need to invest in expensive proprietary design tools. This would accrue benefit by greatly improving the scope and reach of Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) design.","PeriodicalId":196343,"journal":{"name":"2020 Third International Conference on Advances in Electronics, Computers and Communications (ICAECC)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115491462","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is widely used for people to access age-related content. It is used by social media in the distribution of layered advertising and promotions to expand its scope. Application of face detection has grown to a great extent that we should upgrade it using various methods to achieve more accurate results. In this paper, we have developed a lightweight deep Convolution neural network model for real-time age and gender prediction. For making the training dataset more diverse, Wiki, UTKFace, and Adience datasets have been merged into one containing 18728 images. Using this vast mixed dataset, we have achieved accuracy of 48.59% and 80.76% for age and gender respectively. Further, the model is tested in real-time. Different experimental investigations on the prepared dataset show that with most recent approaches, our model provides competitive prediction accuracy.","PeriodicalId":196343,"journal":{"name":"2020 Third International Conference on Advances in Electronics, Computers and Communications (ICAECC)","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127270013","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A PV-battery combination is used so as to provide an uninterrupted service which means that the battery behaves as an ancillary service. Later on the emphasis is given on the dynamic Phasor concept so as to reduce a time computation which is one of the advantages of dynamic Phasor and also to get a reliable output. Hence, dynamic Phasor of all the submodules is also developed. The study develops a procedure to fill the gap between the dynamic phasor and solar PV. The analytical model is carried out in MATLAB/SimPowerSystem where the power electronics devices are used for converter and inverter. The output during irradiation is analyzed. Thus, the results for the test of irradiation are verified.","PeriodicalId":196343,"journal":{"name":"2020 Third International Conference on Advances in Electronics, Computers and Communications (ICAECC)","volume":"2013 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131594459","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The backdrops in the current rehabilitation devices are that they are complex, bulky in structure and are high-priced. In order to overcome these limitations an innovative electric glove system has been prototyped to aid finger-impairment in post-stroke patients. The results obtained from this glove can be analysed using a data- scale. This lucid system can be used by physiotherapists and doctors to get qualitative results. The impulse testing is very essential in order to assure the reliability of hydraulic systems especially in aerospace components. The experiment setup is controlled by PID controller. Through feedback of various control parameters, the inner closed loop damping ratio is modified. In addition, the various damping ratios are achieved by varying the gain of pressure difference feedback. The major challenges are pressure cycling with 150 % of working pressure at required frequency with the desired rate of pressure rise. The proposed pressure impulse testing is conducted on hydraulic elements at pressure ranges up to 420 bars. The test results conclude that, the developed impulse rig is capable to test hydraulic elements with as well as without intensifier for a low frequency range 0.25 Hz to 5 Hz through tuning of PID controller parameters.","PeriodicalId":196343,"journal":{"name":"2020 Third International Conference on Advances in Electronics, Computers and Communications (ICAECC)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134470352","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research on early detection of dementia has received huge interest among the researchers to help in reducing mortality rates of Alzheimer's patients. In recent years in the medical field, the deep learning techniques play an important role in computer aided diagnosis. In this research, the automatic recognition of Alzheimer Disease (AD) based on the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is accomplished by implementing an unsupervised classification technique named Deep Neural Network (DNN) with the rectified Adam optimizer. At first, Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG) is utilized to extract the feature values from the brain images, which were acquired from National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) and Alzheimer disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) datasets. Next, the extracted features were given as the input to DNN with the rectified Adam optimizer to distinguish the healthy, AD and Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) patients. The experimental results have revealed that the HOG-DNN with the rectified Adam optimizer has achieved better performance in AD recognition and showed 16% enhancement in classification accuracy compared to other existing work; Landmark based features with support vector machine classifier.","PeriodicalId":196343,"journal":{"name":"2020 Third International Conference on Advances in Electronics, Computers and Communications (ICAECC)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128409735","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This innate ability makes them superior over the other species. Unfortunately, there are some people who are differently abled and do not possess the ability to interact with others. These members communicate with the help of sign language, but this language is understood only within their community. Thus, a huge communication barrier exists between this community and the open world. As a matter of a fact this communication barrier is not only restricted to those with disability but also to the old aged members in the society. The impact of age and diseases are so heavy on them that they are not able to carry out their simple household chores like having food, medicines or a glass of water. Thus, we propose a system called “Smart Gloves” which will be beneficial to them and address their problems. The glove will act as a gesture to text converter. The sign language can easily be converted to understandable form. The glove will also act as an obstacle detector to help the blind navigate the roads. It also comes with built in wireless connectivity so that the old aged can message their guardians in case of an emergency.","PeriodicalId":196343,"journal":{"name":"2020 Third International Conference on Advances in Electronics, Computers and Communications (ICAECC)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122160201","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
