Due to their small key sizes, they offer the twofold advantage of reduced storage and transmission requirements. This also results in faster execution times. The authors propose an architecture to automatically generate test cases, for verification of elliptic curve operational circuits, based on user-defined prime field and the parameters used in the circuit to be tested. The ECC test case generations are based on the Galois field arithmetic operations which were the subject of previous work by the authors. One of the strengths of elliptic curve mathematics is its simplicity, which involves just three points (P, Q, and R), which pass through a line on the curve. The test cases generate points for a user-defined prime field which sequentially selects the input vector points (P and/or Q), to calculate the resultant output vector (R) easily. The testbench proposed here targets field programmable gate array (FPGAs) platforms and experimental results for ECC test case generation on different prime fields are presented, while ModelSim is used to validate the correctness of the ECC operations.","PeriodicalId":194655,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 17th International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126738132","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

WOA has been applied to the sizing progression to maximize HSPAV technical performance. WOA is used to determine the optimum characteristic needed for the battery bank, inverters, charge controllers, diesel generators, PV modules as expected in the Annual Life Cycle Cost (ALCC), performance ratio (PR) and computation time. WOA sizing optimization performance and computational time are compared with Evolutionary Programming (EP), and Iterative Sizzing Algorithm (ISA) is used as benchmarking. The simulation results show that compared to EP, WOA produced the minimum of ALCC and maximum PR value. Furthermore, WOA executes much faster in term of computation time compared to the ISA.","PeriodicalId":194655,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 17th International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133828395","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Artificial Neural Network (ANN) was used for the NIR calibration model. ANN can provide a reliable local calibration model using local data. However, a reliable local calibration model could be invalid or degraded when it is directly used for other instruments. This is because the instrumental variation causes the Local model's performance invalid. The instrumental variation is the difference among the spectra acquired by different instruments. The Global model identified the instrumental variation due to the Global model was developed with the calibration dataset acquired from two or more instruments. Thus, this study aims to compare the Local and Global models' performance among different NIR spectroscopy instruments in corn oil prediction. First, principle component analysis (PCA) was used to compress the NIR spectra. After that, Bayesian (BR) learning algorithm was applied to train an ANN with different initial conditions and hidden neurons to identify an optimal ANN for the primary instrument. The procedure of Global model development was similar to the Local model. The difference between Local and Global models is the global model used two or more calibration datasets to develop the model. Findings show that Global model was the best with the lowest root mean square error of prediction (RMSEP) of 0.1630%, followed by Local model of 0.4074% and 0.4330% for mp5 and mp6 as calibration datasets, respectively and the best correlation coefficient of 0.7514, 0.6532, and 0.7297, respectively, tested with m5 testing dataset in corn oils prediction applications. The same performance was found when the testing dataset were mp5 and mp6.","PeriodicalId":194655,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 17th International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133263501","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most of the research work emphasized on developing advanced and complex algorithms with little attention on lighting design and configurations. Using the right lighting configuration can significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of an inspection system. This paper describes the design of a novel illumination system that reduces the complexity of the image processing algorithm in wiper arm surface defect detection. The lighting system increases the contrast between flawless area and defective area in the image captured. Thus, it facilitates a more accurate, reliable and productive machine vision system. The processing time has improved to 0.21 seconds per wiper arm.","PeriodicalId":194655,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 17th International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120960199","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Following administration of KA, there are several biochemical, mitochondrial and neuronal dysfunctional changes occurred in many brain regions including hippocampus and its sub region namely CA1, CA3 and in the dentate gyrus (DG). some dysfunctional changes can be studied and quantified by histopathological methods. This study aimed to quantify the microscopic images stained with hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) after treated with KA in different concentrations. Following analysis, the neurodegenerative changes induced by higher concentrations of KA showed significantly different in its Feret diameter, shape descriptors and integrated density compared to lower dose of KA. In order to optimize the KA induced neurodegeneration a model with simulation study is necessary to improve the KA doses and treatment duration, which might be helpful to save the time.","PeriodicalId":194655,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 17th International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128316570","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This has led to various constraints such as environmental issues, the high cost of establishing a new power plant, and the restriction on the existing built transmission line. A new concept known as Distributed Generation (DG) has been introduced to overcome these constraints. One of the technical issues created by DG interconnection is unintentional islanding. The DG units will continue to provide power to the respectively connected line, which led to an island's formation. The fast Fourier Transform (FFT) method will analyze the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of the system. This paper's main objectives are to mitigate one of the power quality issues in the Distributed Generation (DG) system, which focuses on the harmonic distortion of the sinusoidal waveform that is produced by each component in the DG grid network. The MATLAB/SIMULINK is used for analysis and modeling of Distributed Generation (DG).","PeriodicalId":194655,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 17th International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127351816","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Researchers started to study and suggested various scientific methods to determine the sex of avian eggs like chicken and duck. The study proposed the extraction of seven (7) Japanese quail egg morphology features using image processing techniques and edge detection models. Kernel Naïve Bayes, Logistic Regression, and Quadratic SVM models tested and validated Japanese quail eggs' extracted morphology data to classify their sexes. Confusion matrices were used to determine the male, female and average sex classification accuracy rate of each model. Results show that two (2) morphology features of the Japanese quail egg, such as eccentricity and shape index, can be used as significant factors in classifying its sexes. Gaussian Naïve Bayes model is the best classifier to test and validate the morphology characteristics and data of Japanese quail eggs. It has a classification rate of 85.14% for males, 80.16% for females, and an average of 82.88% for both sexes.","PeriodicalId":194655,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 17th International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128337020","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
