However, dense breast tissue is one of the risk factors that put women at higher risk of getting breast cancer and possibly four to six times more likely to get the disease. Dense breasts are not related to the size of the breast, it cannot be self-examined, and it can make it harder to read mammography results compared to women with fatty breasts. A dense breast has less fatty tissue but more fibrous and glandular tissue, and on a mammogram, fat appears dark, while breast gland tissue looks light. Similar to gland tissue, breast tumours and calcifications look light on mammography and this can make cancers difficult to be seen as it can merge inside the breast tissue. Therefore, other modalities such as ultrasound imaging is used to aid mammography in screening patient's with dense breasts. In this work, the case of a young female patient that has dense breast tissue with a previous history of breast lesion, and a strong family history of breast cancer and other types of cancer, is presented including the results of the patient's full genetic testing of BRCA1 (Breast Cancer gene one) and BRCA2 (Breast Cancer gene two), along with the results of her mammography and ultrasound imaging. It was found that the patient does not have any significant changes in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes. The mammography results demonstrated extremely dense breast tissue with no evidence of breast masses. However, ultrasound imaging demonstrated a 1.8 cm breast mass in the right breast.","PeriodicalId":194655,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 17th International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114975200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nowadays, solar energy in the generation of electricity for lamp posts is widely used. There are solar lamp posts built everywhere, especially to areas with no power grid or other lighting infrastructure. The monitoring device uses radiofrequency to transmit and receive data from one another and is displayed in the Graphic User Interface (GUI). This case will reduce the unnecessary works for technicians to manually check each solar lamp post status. The parameters observed are temperature, voltage, current, and irradiance. We can display the battery's charge and percentage status; the power generated, power loss, and solar panel efficiency. The monitoring device is installed on the solar lamp post using HC-12 transceiver module with Arduino Mega as its microcontroller. The handheld device uses Raspberry Pi 3 B+ with its touchscreen display.","PeriodicalId":194655,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 17th International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130567571","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Pseudo Random Binary Sequence (PRBS) and Multi-Sine (M-Sine) have been implemented to this system to perturb the input of the process and excite the nonlinearity behaviour of system dynamic. The Nonlinear Auto Regressive with Exogenous Input (NARX) model structure was used to estimate and validate the temperature output model of SDPP. The best transfer function model was chosen from the simulated result of different NARX model structures based on high percentage of fitness, low value of final prediction error and the mean square error. Later, a PID controller was designed using Ziegler-Nichols and Cohen Coon tuning methods. The results presented that the Ziegler-Nichols tuning method demonstrated better performance than Cohen Coon for PRBS input in terms of rise time (Tr), settling time (Ts) and integral square error (ISE) values while Cohen Coon tuning method showed better performance compared with Ziegler-Nichols for M-Sine input based on Tr, percent overshoot (%OS) and ISE values.","PeriodicalId":194655,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 17th International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114713489","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Investigation of the frequency characteristic of this pest of is an untouched area of research. This study introduces the idea of frequency detection and classification of the mating activities of MPW using acoustic sensors and a machine learning algorithm, specifically the Naïve Bayes Algorithm. Soundproof chamber was built, and specimen monitoring is done during the night. Frequency acquisition was done using MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) microphone as the acoustic sensor. The frequency is filtered and optimized by the trained Naïve Bayes Algorithm. The optimal pre-mating frequency ranges from 1450Hz to 2000Hz, while the optimal mating frequency ranges from 800Hz to 950Hz, and lastly, the optimal post-mating frequency ranges from 1000Hz to 1250Hz.","PeriodicalId":194655,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 17th International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"99 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133879515","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, a significant amount of research effort focuses on improving the implementation of such models. One of the key bottlenecks in model implementation is the lengthy and inefficient model training process. A large amount of literature was published to improve the training process. In this paper, the Spectral Proximal (SP) optimization method is studied and presented. The SP method is an optimization algorithm that combines the Multiple Damping Gradient (MDG) method with a sparsity optimizer to improve training efficiency in machine learning. The MDG algorithm utilizes a damping matrix to correct errors in the descent direction. On top of that, the sparsity optimizer eliminates insignificant elements in the solution to reduce unnecessary computation. We conducted a training experiment to evaluate the SP method against the Adam method. In the experiment, both methods are used to train You Only Look Once version 3 (YOLOv3) model with an object detection dataset, known as YYMNIST dataset. The dataset utilized selected images from the Modified National Institute of Standards and Technology (MNIST) dataset. From the experiment, SP method displays a higher convergence rate and achieved a slightly higher mean Average Precision (mAP) than Adam method. However, SP method requires slightly longer training time due to higher computational requirements.","PeriodicalId":194655,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 17th International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127411284","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even though PSO based MPPT technique is much effective in tracking exact local MPPs show poor success rates in tracking global MPPs by the great dependence of randomly chosen weight. With this sensation, IPSO is developed which provides linear variation in the inertia weight and it does not give exact search space in dealing shaded conditions. Thus Fuzzy system is developed for the dynamic inertia weight in PSO algorithm ensures extended nonlinear search space to speed up the convergence of global MPP under partial shaded conditions. Here FLC_PSO based MPPT is proposed to control the duty cycle of the DC-DC converter guarantees extended nonlinear search space for tracking the maximum power point with faster dynamic response. Thus the proposed methodology is verified using Matlab/SIMULINK software tool.","PeriodicalId":194655,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 17th International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115189564","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition to having the effect of opening pores in the membrane, PEF can alter the cytoskeletal restructuring of the cell, which has an impact on cell morphological properties and signalling pathways. There is some evidence that transforming growth factor-beta ($text{TGF}-beta$) can influence cellular behaviors. Similarly, PEF was found to modulate the activity of cells. However, the combined effect of PEF and $text{TGF}-beta$ on cellular activity has not yet been studied, which may further strengthen the cellular processes for the application of wound healing. The aim of this study ought to be to investigate the effect of PEF in combination with $text{TGF}-betamathrm{s}$ on cellular activity, such as proliferation and in vitro spread of the HT29 cell line. In a medium supplemented with $text{TGF}-beta3$ for 72 hours, cells were electrically treated and cultured. The cells were harvested after 72 hours in culture and counted for study of cell proliferation. For cell length study, images of the cells were taken after 12, 24, 48, and 72 hours of culture. As compared to the non-PEF treated (control) groups, PEF treatment was found to increase the proliferation rate and spreading properties of the cells with $text{TGF}-beta3$ supplement by 50.2 percent. The findings of this research have thus shown that the use of PEF (in the presence of $text{TGF}-beta3$) has possible implications for the application of wound healing by increasing the rate of proliferation and spread of cells.","PeriodicalId":194655,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 17th International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130544828","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
