Abstract
Most children do not feel comfortable seeing the wired probes attached to them to determine their current respiration states. Therefore, a non-contact respiration states determination method that can function wirelessly without using any on-body devices or probes attachment is required. This work proposes using a human motion detection method based on an Impulse Radio Ultra-Wide Band radar sensor. The method used will generate a response and discern the various child's respiration states accordingly.
