Both, the inductor of the partial degeneration and the output load inductor, are actives. The results are satisfactory, validating the compact design and demonstrating the technical feasibility of this design for use in several electronic RF devices.","PeriodicalId":193736,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Symposium on Consumer Electronics (ISCE)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121863381","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The basic therapy approach is to modify the original voice and to present it back to his/her ear. By hearing the altered signal, he/she thinks someone else is talking the same words together, which results in a natural fluent speech. Our system modifies the voice pitch frequency and reduces background noise. The output signal produces a comfortable and natural altered feedback voice. The hardware implementation with a low-cost DSP processor presents a satisfactory real-time computational performance and low energy consumption.","PeriodicalId":193736,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Symposium on Consumer Electronics (ISCE)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124994762","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Then, this extended pattern is used in the upper layer for controlling and the integration of the subsystems. In the bottom layer, each subsystem uses the most appropriate communication technology to control their devices, and it has an UPnP interface to communicate with other subsystems and to allow user control. Thus, subsystems become modules of the home automation system. This proposal enables the user to easily purchase and replace subsystems from different manufacturers, in order to integrate them transparently, resulting in a more flexible home automation system independently of the manufacturer.","PeriodicalId":193736,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Symposium on Consumer Electronics (ISCE)","volume":"100 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125546096","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The analysis is based on some performance indicators: jitter and throughput taking in consideration the update time of the devices, number of switches and cable length between IO-Devices and the IO-Controller. The network studied has a considerable amount of devices including distributed IOs, sensors and actuators. Its setup provides star and line topologies, besides a ring topology using manage switches. The results show the operation of MRP protocol and achieved values for the performance indicators in real factory automation applications.","PeriodicalId":193736,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Symposium on Consumer Electronics (ISCE)","volume":"102 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122385167","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In general, the existing propagation models are not very accurate due to specific terrain variations and intrinsic stochastic propagation characteristics of each region. In this way, this work proposes two new neural predictive models based on the azimuthal orientation. The proposed models are analyzed and compared to the most important models disclosed in the literature.","PeriodicalId":193736,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Symposium on Consumer Electronics (ISCE)","volume":"267 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114195624","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
