During the COVID-19 pandemic, the need to study the different applications of IoT-enabled healthcare has emerged. This paper focuses on extrapolating people’s opinions about the use of IoT technologies in healthcare. A questionnaire was used to obtain and analyze the results of a sample from Benghazi Medical Hospital in Libya. The questionnaire was distributed to two groups of patients, their companions, and medical staff in the hospital, where the data obtained were analyzed using the SPSS software. The results indicate that the patients and their companions see that there are advantages to using the IoT in the health sector because it reduces the difficulty of booking and overcrowding, although there are disadvantages, the most important of which is the lack of knowledge of the elderly in these technologies. Medical staff also believe that the use of the IoT has several advantages, including limiting the spread of infectious diseases, although hospitals do not provide the applications, equipment, and maintenance that this technology needs. Based on the results obtained, the study came up with some important recommendations.","PeriodicalId":191284,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering & MIS (ICEMIS)","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124786481","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A city’s street lighting is one of the most fundamental aspects of its design since it improves the quality of life and provides a sense of security for people at night. Municipal lighting, on the other hand, is a major expense for both the environment and society. There are many technologies used in the smart street light system (SSLS), either combination of short-range (ZigBee and Bluetooth), or long-range communication technologies (PLC, Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G, 5G). This paper focuses on Zigbee technology, it is considered one of the best technologies used today in wireless communication. After analyzing the corresponding energy usage and effectiveness, it is determined that SSLS can help with some of the drawbacks of conventional lighting. Three different scenarios have been applied by using the CupCarbon simulator, to comprehend the function of ZigBee and how it is used to conserve electrical consumption. By simulating various scenarios and modifying the settings of programmable sensors, such as motion, weather conditions, brightness, etc. the feedback was highly satisfactory and positive towards the effectiveness of ZigBee technology in smart street lighting systems.","PeriodicalId":191284,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering & MIS (ICEMIS)","volume":"111 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132779378","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a result, the requirements validation process and the testing phase are considered as the most critical stages for ascertaining exactly what the product will offer. Many efforts have been made to prepare methods and techniques to facilitate the testing process and ensure its quality. However, there is a lack of focus on test cases which can lead to potential flaws such as requirements issues. As a result, this paper has been working on providing a comprehensive framework that enables software developers to focus on the underlying errors in an organized documentation manner, as well as to be supportive and complementary to the various processes of validation and testing, by focusing on the requirements validation process.some examples are presented in this work to clarify the mechanism of the proposed framework, in which the framework demonstrates a clear mechanism for focusing on potential faults by following requirements in the requirements engineering stage.","PeriodicalId":191284,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering & MIS (ICEMIS)","volume":"292 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134283946","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to know the level of organizational loyalty of administrative staff at the University of Benghazi, Libya, its relationship to job performance, and the extent of variation in the level of organizational loyalty according to personal variables. The questionnaire was used to collect data from 76 participants, including employees, directors, and heads of administrative departments at the university. The Alpha Cronbach test was used to extract the stability and consistency coefficient of the data, and descriptive statistics is used to identify the answers of the participants. Inferential statistics are used to answer the questions of the study using SPSS. The results showed that the level of organizational loyalty among employees is high despite the low job performance, as most administrators are not satisfied with their performance. It was found that there is a correlation between organizational loyalty and job performance, but this relationship is weak, which reflects the reality of performance at the university. There were no significant differences in the level of organizational loyalty in most of the personal variables except for the age group variable. The results also showed a lack of skills and inequity in salaries and bonuses.","PeriodicalId":191284,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering & MIS (ICEMIS)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132890299","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper aims to apply the Catboost regression model by changing the iteration and learning rate. A feature and house value dataset for King County, Washington, is used. During the pre-processing of the data, extreme values are winsorized, and features with a high degree of correlation are removed. There are twelve possible models, including Catboost, RandomForestRegressor, and KNeighborsRegressor. Several metrics are used to assess them, such as Mean Squared Error (MSE), R-squared score, Mean Absolute Error (MAE), and Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) (MSE). The model with a low RMSE of 0.013166 performs well compared to other research, especially in the test set where R2 is 0.915256. In this study, Catboost is the model that performs the best overall and can be used to estimate home prices. The most significant factors affecting property prices are location, living area, and house condition. It is confirmed that the conclusions in this research are consistent with real-world experience after comparing and contrasting with other works.","PeriodicalId":191284,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering & MIS (ICEMIS)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133327311","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Software development firms are established to meet this demand. Due to the common lack of usability feedback in locally developed systems in Libya, a usability evaluation framework is needed. In this research, a usability evaluation of locally developed software was performed and conducted on Bank Current Accounts Function users (the account handlers within the bank) on Almezan Banking Software System, in Libya. The research aims to measure the usability of Almezan software from the user point of view, using the international tool IsoMetrics (ISO) standard. The study methodology steps included preparing and describing a questionnaire, then defining the type of the sample of the population and the place of distribution of the questionnaire. The results of the data analysis show that the principles of Controllability and Suitability for learning from a user point of view, have received the best-rated feedback of the system. Unlike in Error tolerance and Suitability for individualization, which got lower-rated feedback according to users’ expectations. A comparison has been made between the software under this study’s results and another source of study. The results of the comparison have revealed that the Almezan Software got higher usability of users’ expectations in Suitability for the task, Self-descriptiveness, Controllability, and Conformity with user expectations, while their mean values were significantly different. Furthermore, Error tolerance, Suitability for individualization, and Suitability for learning results were similar, while their mean values showed that they were not particularly different.","PeriodicalId":191284,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering & MIS (ICEMIS)","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116089443","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are some conventional methods such as least square (LS) that have been widely used in channel estimation for OFDM systems, the problem with LS is that it is not accurate enough especially in low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) regions. Deep learning (DL) can be a possible solution to solve many problems in wireless communications. This project proposes a DL model for channel estimation and signal detection in OFDM systems. We adopted a deep neural network (DNN) model to provide an effective solution to increase the accuracy with minimum complexity. The performance of the DNN model is evaluated and then compared with LS method simulations in terms of BER under different SNRs. The comparison shows that DL proves to have a better performance compared with LS simulations.","PeriodicalId":191284,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering & MIS (ICEMIS)","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125895506","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

VANET technology relies on the nodes acting like cars without the necessity for any controller or central base station by creating a wireless link among them. It enables cars to send and receive information between themselves and their environment. There are many network simulators that can support VANET environments such as NS-2, NS-3, OMNeT++, OPNET, and Qualnet. In this paper, we investigate the performance of a common reactive routing protocol; named (AODV) Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector routing where two scenarios are considered. The first scenario is a comparison between Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) communication modes. The second one is made between two maps Basrah city and Manhattan grid in Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) mode; through the real-time interaction between OMNeT++ and SUMO. The implementation of AODV reveals a comparative results analysis using Quality of Service (QoS) parameters, such as packet delivery ratio, packet drop rate, and network throughput. The simulation results in a helpful guideline for researchers to improve and develop this protocol as compared to other existing works.","PeriodicalId":191284,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering & MIS (ICEMIS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130389110","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
