To study thermoelectric characteristics of thermocouples, experimentation should be conducted for determining possible dependencies such as temperature and load resistance. Each experimental measurement should be taken with a different value of load resistance and each carried out at various temperatures over a wide range. Load resistors are integrated in a toggle switch panel, to ensure the accuracy and ease of use. Temperatures have been successfully held stable with the help of a heat chamber and its designed control system. {"title":"Can GPU-accelerator significantly increase the effectiveness of conservative DBMS considerable volumes on cluster platforms?","authors":"V. Raikhlin, R. K. Klassen","doi":"10.1109/SIBCON.2017.7998474","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/SIBCON.2017.7998474","url":null,"abstract":"Discusses the issues of building a conservative type DBMS (with episodic data updates in a specially allotted time) on the platform of GPU-clusters at scale databases — V<inf>db</inf> at least 100GB. Their relevance is determined by modern tendencies of intelligent processing of large data arrays using graphics accelerators — GPU. By the condition the query processing is carried out on a regular plan. At the nodes of a cluster running MySQL function multi-core processors (2 processors per host) with a full load all cores. In the dynamics of query processing nodal database is in main memory of node with capacity of up to 128 GB. Problems occur due to the relatively small volumes of GPU global memory and speed of transmission data at the PCI-e, which connect CPU and GPU. The cases of average V<inf>db</inf> — near the 100GB, replicated across nodes, and large enough V<inf>db</inf> — from the hundreds GB to units of TB, hashed on the set of nodes. In the first case analyzed two variants of the DBMS functioning: 1) on the CPU — operations «select-project», on the GPU — «join» 2) on the CPU — «project» and «join», on the GPU — «select», DB is stored in compressed form. It was found that both variants use accelerators uncompetitive. A possible solution — the development of specialized DBMS with query optimization, which focused on the use of the GPU. In the second case, the operations «select-project» performed on the executive nodes with accelerators (compressed DB) or without (uncompressed DB, V<inf>db</inf> — hundreds GB), operations «join» — on the JOIN node without additional GPU. A review of researches dedicated to MFs based on multiconductor microstrip line (MSL) is made. A MF on the basis of a three-conductor MSL is investigated. Optimization of conductors separations in a MF is executed in two ways: heuristic search and genetic algorithm (GA). After optimization by using the GA we obtained an amplitude of USP at the output of MF that is 13% less than the one after heuristic search. Linear electromagnetic engines with massive anchor are an integral part of the power of electromagnetic pulse systems which are widely applied in many fields of technology where there is a need of power generation of shock loads of a given frequency acting on the Executive bodies of technological machines or the processed medium. In the calculation of non-stationary magnetic field in the Elcut 6.0 software (professional edition) is taken into account the axial symmetry of the magnetic system of the electromagnetic motor, eddy currents in the steel that occur in a massive anchor. The study of the transitional process in the electrical circuit of the winding based on the numerical calculation of transient magnetic fields in the Elcut aimed at obtaining the time dependence of the coil current, the separation of the free component and the decomposition of decaying exponential curve to a number. For the operator the resistance of the circuit are established the equations of relationship between peak values and attenuation coefficients exponential decay curve of winding current. It shows that when entering the special compensating circuits into the TDA classical circuits, realized on the base of the “folded” cascodes and the symmetrical active loads, the upper frequency limit f6 is increased by a factor of 5÷10. The authors give the examples of the TDA construction for sensor interfaces, including those ones which are based on the BiJFet array chips AC_1.3/Z1, capable to operate under radiation and low temperatures.
