In the calculation of non-stationary magnetic field in the Elcut 6.0 software (professional edition) is taken into account the axial symmetry of the magnetic system of the electromagnetic motor, eddy currents in the steel that occur in a massive anchor. The study of the transitional process in the electrical circuit of the winding based on the numerical calculation of transient magnetic fields in the Elcut aimed at obtaining the time dependence of the coil current, the separation of the free component and the decomposition of decaying exponential curve to a number. For the operator the resistance of the circuit are established the equations of relationship between peak values and attenuation coefficients exponential decay curve of winding current. Abstract

The article gives the solution chain-field problem of calculating the non-stationary magnetic field in a linear electromagnetic motor with a massive anchor, arising from the transition process while connecting its winding to the DC voltage source at a fixed value of the working gap, changing within the limits of the stroke of the armature.
