The article describes visual methods of meteorological and climatic concepts formation in the course of school geography. Unconventional visual tools to be used in learning the following concepts at school: animated maps, dynamic schema, climate diagrams, logic model are considered in the article.\u0000The experience of teaching the weather and climate, analyzing the basic concepts that are diffi cult to assimilate by students has been described. Analysis of psychological and age features of school students, their interest in studying these subjects as well as the experience of using animation in the study of school geography, positive and negative factors of animation manuals are outlined. It is shown how to use animation at the lessons of formation of meteorological and climatic concepts. The options for its use at the lessons on the study of weather and climate have been proposed. The possibility of further use of the developed materials in the classroom and in extracurricular activities of secondary schools has been shown.\u0000Conclusions and prospects for further research. The use of new visual tools for the formation of meteorological and climatic concepts in the classroom of school geography may interest pupils in the study of new topics. This not only develops pupils’ ideas, but also establishes a logical link between the phenomena. The advantages of using the proposed means of education over traditional means, in our opinion, are signifi cant. But the study of the teachers’ experience shows that very few of them use the latest tools and for various reasons prefer traditional means of education. The reason may be that the new tools require much more time to prepare than the traditional tools. This applies primarily to the creation of new animated maps, dynamic diagrams, search for new information. In the future, we will develop didactic tools linking specifi c types of climate and their graphical representations with the corresponding landscapes of continents.

A timely and urgent task of geodemographic research is to establish the degree of their action as they provide reliable information about the demographic behavior. Method of demographic coeffi cients standardization is used as a universal tool to measure the strength of the structural factors’ infl uence on the course of demographic processes. The purpose of this article is to study methodical bases to establish the degree of structural factors infl uence on change of demographic processes by a method of standardization, representation of results of approbation on materials of birth rate of the population in the regions of Ukraine. Main material. The essence of the method of demographic coeffi cients standardization is to eliminate the infl uence of population structure and age intensities on the value of overall demographic coeffi cients. Standardization of demographic coeffi cients can be carried out based on offi cial statistics data and their statistical processing according to the presented generalized algorithm. Comparison of the calculated hypothetical (standardized) coeffi cients of the studied demographic processes with each other and with the actual indicators makes it possible to determine the degree of infl uence of each of the structural factors in numerical dimensions. Determining the degree of structural factors infl uence on the change of demographic processes should be carried out to establish both territorial and temporal features of their change. An example of the standardization method application to establish the degree of infl uence of structural factors on the change in the birth rate in Ukraine is considered. To reveal the functionality of the application of this method, we focus on its possibilities to determine both territorial and temporal features. Three reference dates were chosen: 2002 (lowest birth rates - 8‰), 2012 (highest birth rates - 11.4 ‰), 2018 (latest offi cial statistics - 8.4‰). To refl ect the possibilities of establishing and comparing territorial features, two regions of Ukraine were considered: Rivne region (as an example of a region with traditionally high birth rates - 11.6‰ in 2018) and Sumy region (as an example of a region with traditionally low birth rates - 6.6‰ in 2018). Conclusions and further research. The results of the standardization method application on the materials of demographic statistics of Sumy and Rivne regions for three reference years are presented in the article. They allowed us to establish the degree of influence of internal factors on the change of birth rate, both in territorial and temporal dimensions. Attention is drawn to the needs to intensify research and practical activities on the cultivation of grapes in the region. In the agricultural sector of Ukraine interest in cultivating grapes is growing in more in northern areas, than in its traditional distribution area. An urgent task is a more thorough study of agro-climatic conditions, clarifi cation of agro-clima tic zoning of this culture and the development of practical recommendations. This is especially true of the Eastern forest-steppe of Ukraine and its individual areas, including the northern part of Kharkiv region. This industry, judging by the success of farms and individual economies, can be highly profi table throughout the region but with some reservations. Currently, one of the problems of viticulture is to obtain suffi cient yield to supply the population.\u0000For this purpose, the author identifi es the features of the natural conditions of the region. Clarifi cation of agro-climatic features of the territory can be considered as a multi-stage task of agro-climatic zoning at diff erent levels. The Eastern forest-steppe region should be considered as part of a large agroecosystem, occupying a signifi cant place in the forest-steppe zone of Ukraine.\u0000Of particular interest are the climatic indicators, the assessment of which allows to justify the grape culture management. These indicators are grouped together. The most important of them are temperature, humidity, light conditions and features of the winter period. Distribution of rainfall (fl ow of water) in the phases of grapes development during the active growing season is also important. It is also necessary to pay a???? ention to the use of other indicators. Most of them are closely related to the hydrothermal coeffi cient (HTC) - the simplest and most informative indicator. It should be added that using special agricultural techniques cultivation of certain grape varieties can be possible in the north-east of Ukraine.\u0000Conclusions. The study of suitable forest-steppe agrometeorological regions in Kharkiv region for growing grapes in natural conditions continues to be relevant. In the face of the hybrid aggression of the Russian state against Ukraine, in which much attention is paid to propaganda, the publication of geospatial information sources that debunk propaganda myths is an important element of defense. It was the idea of the creators of the map «Ukrainian Crimea», which was published on the basis of the scientifi c-production fi rm «Maps and Atlases». The map presents a comprehensive and systematic picture of Crimea in geospatial and historical aspects. In addition to the map itself, the cartographic work is supplemented by illustrative and textual material. On the main map in scale 1 : 1 250 000 the main attention is paid to large infrastructural projects realized by the Ukrainian forces after the transfer of the peninsula to the Ukrainian SSR because of economic decline of the region due to the deportation of the Crimean Tatars (in particular, the irrigation of North Crimean Channel turned dry-steppe semi-desert landscapes to areas of intensive agriculture). Another focus of the main map is the repression of the occupying power against the pro-Ukrainian movement after the annexation. The historical retrospective shows the kaleidoscopic of the rulers and dozens of Crimean peoples.\u0000Conclusions and further research. The map thus dispels the myth of Russian propaganda that the peninsula has allegedly always belonged to Russia. It relies on the real research of scientists, not on the perverted facts or even outright lies, which are used by the propagandists of the «Russian world». Scientifi c novelty and practical signifi cance lies in the complex coverage by the cartographic method of illegal occupation of part of the Ukrainian territory by the Russian Federation and its subsequent annexation. This is important in the context of Russian hybrid aggression. The map «Ukrainian Crimea» will promote further development of thematic regional mapping in Ukraine, in particular, continuation of a series of maps «United Ukraine» may be maps of Eastern Slobozhanshchina, Taganrozhchina, Kuban, etc.

Modern information society places high demands on the person, who needs to be ready for constant change, development, competition in all spheres of activity, determined by the interaction of the person and the social environment in rapidly changing conditions.\u0000\u0000Profile training is aimed at educating high school students at general education schools, taking into account their individual capabilities, their socialization in accordance with the requirements of the labour market, and presents a system of profiles with organizations from primary to higher vocational training.\u0000\u0000Gradual formation of the profile school allows us to create conditions for differentiation of the educational content, individual educational programs. It carries out in-depth study of subjects, creating equal educational conditions for different categories of pupils, their further socialization and restoring connection between general and professional education.\u0000\u0000Geographical knowledge encompasses biological, geological, meteorological, economic, social, political sciences and is of integrating importance. Geography can, therefore, act in different profiles as both basic and optional discipline. Specialized training in geography represents the study of cycles of subjects that complement each other in content, types of activities, are studied both at the general educational level and at the in-depth, optional level.\u0000\u0000Conclusions. Analysis of the world experience in the organization of geographical education indicates different approaches in its implementation. Acquisition of geographical knowledge in the case of Australia takes place through the study of natural components and global transformations. A geography course in the USA introduces school pupils to the world through the interpretation of knowledge about natural, economical features of different regions of the world. Geographical education in England is a basic subject of learning that allows pupils to gain information about nature, society, resources to form competences of geographical knowledge, approaches, concepts and analysis skills. In Ukraine, geographical education is part of a system of basic subjects that form a holistic picture of the surrounding world through generalizations and systematization of knowledge, formation of geographical thinking, ability to use different methods of information analysis.\u0000\u0000It is emphasized that the main task of profile education is formation of specialized preparation (profile training) in the upper grades of general education, which is guided by individual training and socialization of pupils.

A brief overview of Belarusian scientistsʹ research in the fi eld of geoecological conditions of atmospheric air is given in the article. The article deals with pollutants accumulation in the air of Mogilev region from various sources. Mobile sources (64.1% in 2015) are mainly responsible for air pollution in the region. In 2015 in comparison with 2010 there was a decrease in pollutant emissions as a result of transport functioning. Sources of pollutants accumulating in the air are exhaust gases from internal combustion engines, crankcase gases and fuel evaporation from fuel systems. Automobiles dominate in the structure of vehicles (85.3% in 2015). The article considers dynamics of pollutant emissions from stationary sources. The majority of pollutants are found in the air because of technological processes. Hydrocarbons and sulfur dioxide prevail in the structure of emissions of these sources. Chemical industry enterprises (Mogilev chemical fiber, Mogilev artificial fiber plant, etc.) are the sources of air pollution. Substances of the 4th and 3d danger classes predominate in the structure of pollutants in Mogilev region. Substances of the 1st and 2nd danger classes are insignificant.\u0000\u0000Conclusions. As a result of the conducted research uneven territorial distribution of emission density of the main pollutants in the air of Mogilev region has been established. Kostiukovich and Krichevsk districts are characterized by high level of emission density of suspended substances, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide in the air from stationary sources. Cherikov district is characterized by a low level of carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide emissions per unit area. 71.4% of the administrative districts of Mogilev region are characterized by an average density level of carbon monoxide emissions from stationary sources in relation to the average regional level, 14.3% of districts by lower level, 4.8% by low level and 9.5% by high level. It is advisable to improve the production technology, to equip enterprises with new gas cleaning facilities in order to reduce the anthropogenic load on the environment.

The purpose of this article is to study the distribution of ice deposits of large diameters, namely dangerous (DHP) and spontaneous (SHP) in Ukraine during the current stage of climate change. It was also necessary to summarize the information on the identifi ed losses and their nature from ice deposits of the spontaneous (SHP) category, registered in some regions of Ukraine during this time. Main material. Dangerous ice deposits of the category are quite common in Ukraine and are observed almost every year. They are most common in the winter months (December-February) and in late autumn in November, when they are found in at least half of the regions. During 2011-2019, they were territorially observed in most oblasts, especially in the western, central and eastern regions. In the south, such deposits were mostly observed in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson oblasts and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. In April, such deposits were observed only in the Carpathian region of Transcarpathia in Playa. During October 2011-2019, dangerous ice deposits were found only in the Carpathian region (Zakarpatska and Ivano-Frankivsk regions), in some places in the center (Kirovohrad and Dnipropetrovsk regions) and in the south (Odessa, Mykolaiv, Kherson regions). Spontaneous ice deposition is observed in the territory not every month and year, but more o???? en in the cold period. The areas where they occur most o???? en are highlighted, namely in Transcarpathia at the Play weather station. However, there are places where such deposits also occurred quite often in the study period - in Lviv region (Kamyanka-Buzka, Rava-Ruska), Zhytomyr region (Olevsk, Zhytomyr), Mykolayiv region (Mykolayiv, Ochakiv), Donetsk region (Amvrosiyivka, Mariupol), Zaporizhzhia region (Zaporizhzhia, Huliaipole), the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Chornomorske, Opasne, Simferopol). Damage from ice deposits of the SHP category was observed in 4 years out of 9 studied at the facilities of the industrial complex, transport and utilities. The largest number of losses was recorded in 2014. Conclusions. It was found that the most common dangerous ice deposits during 2011-2019 were in January, February, December, where they were observed in 10 to 14 regions, and especially in March in 21 region. They were most common in the western, central and eastern regions, and in the south in Odessa, Mykolaiv, Kherson regions and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Main material. The article analyzes the issues of safe and ecological cultivation of grapes in the North-Eastern foreststeppe region of Ukraine as one of the most important indicators for successful and rational cultivation of grapes. This thus ensures crop productivity, drawing a???? ention to the need to intensify research and practical activities for grapes cultivation. The study of viticulture’s optimization shows that it is necessary to have a clear and complete picture of the ecological potential of the territory to increase the productivity of plantations. For this reason a comprehensive method of studying grapes and related plants is required. Useful properties of such a valuable crop as grapes will be manifested if it is environmentally safe for the human body. It should be added that the ecological value of grapes as a crop is due to the fact that it does not deplete the soil and does not suppress other plants. Proper farming techniques, when cultivating soils, do not lead to their signifi cant erosion. Grapes can also be used on soils that are less suitable for other crops in terms of their mechanical and organic composition. All this is complemented by the fact that grape plantations can exist in specifi c areas for a long time without negative manifestations. Grapes are a unique product in their composition and, therefore - extremely useful. The quality of plants is an urgent problem for specialists in various fi elds of research from soil scientists to nutritionists. People have been studying plants for a long time, solving various problems. Conclusions. 10 diff erent varieties of grapes (and grape seeds) have been analysed in the course of study as well as soil samples from the area of cultivation to determine the concentration of heavy metals (Zn, Cu, Cd, Cr, Pb) and nitrates. It has been determined that concentrations of heavy metals do not exceed the normative indicators in berries and stones in any of the grape varieties. An important task is to analyse in detail the suitability of the territory of Kharkiv region for growing grapes in the natural environment. Beneficial properties of grapes will be manifested if they are environmentally safe for the human body.

The use of geographic information systems (GIS) during the teaching of geography at school is an issue that is essential for the further development of education. The challenges faced by society, such as the consequences of scientific and technological progress, globalization, climate change, require the training of specialists who will cope with the tasks that the modern world dictates. To train specialists of a new generation, a specialized education is needed, which will give students new content with the help of new teaching methods. Geography as an educational discipline that develops spatial thinking and understanding of the world as a complex system is at the forefront of changes in the educational process. Therefore, in order for students to effectively use material adapted to the conditions of the modern world at geography classes, new methods are needed to help this problem be solved, and above all, the use of geographic information systems. As the analysis of foreign experience and our study on the use of GIS in the educational process with geography showed, the world faces common problems: overloading students, inability (unwillingness) of teachers to learn new technologies, financial and communication problems.\u0000In order to introduce geoinformatics methods and skills in working with GIS into the educational process from geography, it is necessary to have, in our opinion, at least four components: 1) the legislative base; 2) use of the best world experience; 3) training of specialist geographers competent in the field of work with geographic information systems; 4) appropriate software and hardware for schools to work with GIS.\u0000Conclusions and further research. Polls and experiments of domestic and foreign researchers have shown the effectiveness of GIS as a method in teaching geography in terms of increasing the academic performance of students and increasing the level of assimilation of knowledge. The SWOT analysis of the use of geographic information systems as educational technologies showed problems common to Ukrainian and foreign schools, such as the high cost of software, the lack or lack of technical equipment, and insufficient teacher training. At the same time, the results of the survey indicate that abroad the biggest problem is the lack of motivation of teachers, while in Ukraine the main obstacle is the high cost of logistics.\u0000It is promising to conduct a survey of geography teachers at the all-Ukrainian level in order to obtain a complete picture regarding the willingness to introduce the GS in the educational process, in particular o
