Further in PP No.11 2017 on Civil Servant Management confirmed that every government officer is entitled to competence development for at least 20 (twenty) lesson hours in 1 (one) year.Limited metrological technical training allocationcauses not all ASN in Indonesia have the opportunity to develop their competence. Therefore, it is necessary to develop varieties of metrological trainings in addition to conventional methods. The alternative is e-learning based training. One of its goal is to reduce face to face lesson hour, as a result more technical training can be conducted by PPSDK without compromising training quality. This study will analyzed the development of blended learning design that is tailored to the training needs and characteristics of participants in government institutions with prepackaged products training case study using PEDATI model. Research and development (R&D) methods with descriptive qualitative approach is used in this study. Design outcomes are as follows: all stages in PEDATI model can be used to develop blended learning instructional design based on validation by subject matter experts. A recommendation in the 4th stage the design of asynchronous learning activities should include time allocation for each learning activity in order to estimate the total time required. Accurate learning activity mapping into synchronous and asynchronous learning can ensure the achievement of competence standard and simultaneously reducing time needed to conduct face to face learning. Teaching English vocabulary by using media has been interesting in research. This study tried to analyze the effect of CALL using drill and non-CALL using drill as media on teaching vocabulary to know whether it could increase students’ vocabulary retention in Junior High School. Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) has evolved through various stages in both technology as well as the pedagogical use of technology (Warshauer & Healay,1998) Studies show that the CALL trend has facilities students in their English language vocabulary with useful tools such as computer based activities and word processing. Students are able to produce higher quality essays in a student-centered nature and less-intimidating manner (Braine, 1997).In line with this research, it was used quantitative design. This study also purposes to find out to how the students’ response towards using CALL. This study was investigated seventh grade students consist of 126 learn. There are A class consist of 30 persons, B class consist of 34 persons, C class consist of 32 persons and D class consist of 30 persons. English vocabulary with CALL using drill and non-CALL using drill. In conclusion, of students’ response toward using CALL, the experimental group students are agree that CALL using drill is effective media for learning vocabulary retention, and have positive response rather than control group students. (c) Challenges from the implementation of the parent’s school program. This research applied case study qualitative approach because it wanted to reveal what is behind the parent’s school program that is implemented in Baturraden Nature School.  This research also revealed any activity that involved the parents in the educational practice in Baturraden nature school. Moreover, it also revealed challenges as well as the things that attribute the implementation of the parent’s school activity in Baturraden nature school. The research data was gained from interview, observation, and document analysis. The parent’s school is a parent’s involvement program in children education that is considered as parent’s education needs model. The form of the parent’s school was not only conference, but it was varied through a variety of activities such as outbound or games.  The parent’s school activity that has been joined by the students’ parents were closed with reflection and question and answer with psychologist or expert. Parents were also involved in the children’s assignment or project at home. This parent’s school activity was high almost ever students’ parents in the Baturraden nature school attended. This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of discovery learning to improving critical thinking skills on mastery of Arrhenius acid-base. The renewal of this research is the integration of discovery learning models, The 2013 curriculum structure, Arrhenius acid-base material with aspects of critical thinking skills according by Ennis.This research used quasi-experiment with pretest-postest non-equivalent control group design. The population in this research is all college students of Master Program of Chemistry Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Lampung University  Academic year 2017/2018. The sample is taken by cluster random sampling technique and obtained sample that is class A as experiment class were 31 students  and Class B as control class was 30 students. The results showed that the effectiveness of discovery learning by n-Gain value had high criteria and effect size had large criteria. The information delivery is not merely done using verbal message; however, multiple modes of presentation such as verbal and auditory representation can also be the alternative of material delivery. The studies featuring the use of multimedia-based presentation are mostly administered to determine its effectiveness to be implemented in the learning process. In contrast, the exploration of the use of multimedia-based presentation toward the way how it can be a means of interaction seems underexplored. Therefore, to make it be more precise, the present study attempts to explore the practice of multimedia-based presentation in academic speaking classroom and to investigate the interactivity emerged during the presentation process. This study deployed qualitative case study design due to the purpose of gaining the in-depth investigation of the use of multimedia-based presentation and its interactivity emergence in academic speaking classroom. The study was conducted in one of the universities in Surakarta majoring English Education where academic speaking becomes one of the subjects. The presentation document along with the presentation process were analyzed in this study. The results of the analysis show that multimedia-based presentation is designed to visualize the material being conveyed through the icons, pictures, and illustrations that are able to represent the information or knowledge in a more concrete way. Moreover, the interactivity is also emerged through the use of multimedia-based presentation as it simplifies the presenter to do the following: gesturing, dialoguing, and describing. It means that it has a central position in creating the good human being life generally and teacher, as a model of change, particularly. The main points of character building are its universal values such as trustworthiness, responsibility, respect, caring, fairness, and citizenship. The good teacher's character can be seen from the quality of his/her character personally or inter/intrapersonal. Discussing good charactered teachers and students are still becoming a current and serious issue and challenge in the educational context. Therefore, the purpose is to explore the character building through media and language education. In this case, the focus is on the theoretical review of the implementing of character values in English language learning and teaching in the classroom. The sub-themes are (1) teacher's role in internalizing of character values in English language learning and teaching, (2) internalizing of character values in learning and teaching media and materials, (3) internalizing of character values in learning and teaching processes. So, the integration of the character values in the learning and teaching system is very needed in order to produce the best teacher and students with having high knowledge and best behavior. Then, the character values are not taught but implemented in real action model explicitly and in learning and teaching media and materials implicitly. They are conducted by teachers and students inside and or outside the classroom simultaneously, continuously, and consistently. They are also supported by references from inspiring good character values people from various countries in the world. The samples, selected by purposive sampling, were 35 students of accountant major of Faculty of Management Science, Thepsatri Rajabhat University. The research instruments included: 1) a skill workbook on the environmental analysis and generating strategies, and 2) a learning achievement test.The data were systematically analyzed by descriptive statistics (percentage :% ; mean : M; and standard deviation : S.D.) and inferential statistics (t-test dependent). The research findings were as follows: 1) the efficiency of the skill workbook yielded the value at 83.84/81.32, which was higher than the standard criterion of 80/80. The population is all science teachers of SMP Negeri in Tanjungpinang and Bintan while the sample in this study consists of eight Junior High Schools located in Tanjungpinang and four Junior High Schools in Bintan.This study aims to determine the use of learning media by science teachers in Tanjungpinang and Bintan and constraints faced by teachers regarding the use of learning media. Sampling technique in this research is simple random sampling. While type of research is descriptive. Data collection was obtained through questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Questionnaire contains ten questions using a Guttman scale consisting of “yes” and “no” questions.Data collection is also done by interviewing teachers to find out the constraints found by teachers during the learning process takes place. Other data collection techniques are done by looking at the RPP created by teachers on the learning media used.The results obtained an average of 69.16% of teachers use learning media during the learning process took place. From the average results seen that not all teachers of IPA in SMP Negeri Tanjungpinang and Bintan use learning media during the learning-teaching process.While the expectations at this time in accordance with the demands of the curriculum that during the learning process should use learning media. The results from the questionnaires obtained data about the constraints found in the teacher's use or to use the learning media.The results obtained by analyzing the RPP turns out that teachers write the media used in each meeting, this is not in accordance with the fact of the average outcomes. There should be a policy from government and school to overcome these obstacles.
