Penelitian ini terdiri atas 2 siklus tindakan. Setiap siklus dilakukan tiga kali pertemuan dalam pembelajaran. Data aktivitas siswa diperoleh melalui observasi atau pengamatan selama proses pemberian tindakan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe </span><span>Student Team Achievement Division</span><span> (STAD). Dari hasil kegiatan pembelajaran yang telah dilakukan selama dua siklus, dan berdasarkan seluruh pembahasan serta analisis yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe </span><span>Student Team Achievement Division</span><span> (STAD) memiliki dampak positif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa yang ditandai dengan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar siswa dalam setiap siklus, yaitu siklus I (62,50%), siklus II (87,50%). From the analysis of qualitative data (interviews with students, observation and journal entries) and quantitative (tests and questionnaires) seen a significant improvement of the results of teacher in word problem creating and students in word problem solving. Later, the digital-based teaching media is well developed in millennial era indicating by the productivity escalation of it. This study aim at  investigating (1) the trending application resorted by the teaching media designers to create the digital-based teaching media; (2)  the problems faced by millennial teachers in creating the digital-based teaching media; (3) the underlying factors of the problems; (4) the efforts of digital teaching media designers to overcome the problems. Using descriptive qualitative, the 129 digital teaching media designers (millennial teachers) within 22-37 years old were investigated about the process and the product of digital-based teaching media. Questionnaire, interview, and document analysis used to assemble the data. The data were analyzed using the Interactive Model of data analysis. Triangulation technique facilitated the data validation and verification later. The result of the research shows that (1) the there are trending applications resorted by designer to create the digital teaching media such as prezi, movie maker and kine toon; (2) Less creativity and understanding towards technology become the major problems; (3) The lack of knowledge in technology and the dependency to make use the ready-made digital teaching media be the prominent factors causing the problem in designing digital teaching media; (4) Enhancing the creativity, innovation and technology sensitivity is the top solution proposed by teachers. The research implies that being the digital teaching media developers need extra efforts. Seesaw Class is an application for teaching-learning in the smartphone. Applications are used as the media for learning in the present era. Seesaw Class application is used to enhance English skills and components during teaching-learning activities. Various features in Seesaw Class application provide more space for students to express their ideas. The method used is a hermeneutic- phenomenology method. It focuses on the description and interpretation of lived experience. The data were gathered with in- depth interview, observation, and document review. The research was validated with triangulation. The research results are divided into empirical themes and transcendent themes. Meaning in each theme is revealed with deep understanding of the research and has the implication in the practice area. They need to enroll in a systematic learning model to develop relevant instructional materials and media.  Project-based learning has been an effective learning model to develop students’ skills in a specific content area. The nature of project-based learning to enable students acquire knowledge and give ample experiences in a reflective way supported English prospective teachers in instructional materials and media development (IMALD) classrooms to learn how to design materials and multimedia-based media for their future pupils. A case study was employed to investigate the implementation of project-based learning in instructional materials and media development classrooms. The stages involved in this study are, namely: 1) identifying the phenomenon, 2) identifying the research participants, 3) generating hypotheses, 4) collecting data, 5) analyzing data, and 6) interpreting data. Thirty five students were assigned to participate in this research and develop textbook as well as supplementary multimedia-based media following the steps in project-based learning comprising planning to develop textbook and multimedia-based media, monitoring, scaffolding, adjusting or troubleshooting strategies, assessing students and evaluating projects. The result of this study was the final product in the form of textbook and multimedia-based media to teach English for students in elementary school, junior high school and senior high school. Activate the quasi-experimental study, a movie with tittle Transcendence was selected based on the ESP content and language level difficulty.  With two intact groups, they were group A and group B. They watched the same movie, class A watched it with English subtitles and class B without subtitles. After watching the movie, the participants answered the relevant multiple-choice vocabulary, content comprehension questions, and questioners. The data gathered were subjected to the statistical procedure of paired sample t-test. The results showed that subtitles have a positive impact on content comprehension of English movies. It can be concluded that the participants comprehend the subtitled movie better than the one without it. Moreover, in this statistical study, it is found that the subtitles did not have an effect on participants’ vocabulary comprehension. Ironically cases of children facing the law is increasing. Implemented school education does not character changes for children. So that the curriculum is needed in which there is knowledge of mutual respect, tolerance and understanding culture between communities. This study aims to reveal the internalization of multicultural education in schools in order to prevent the case of children facing the law. The method used in this study using descriptive qualitative which is intended to deepen the multicultural education is applied and implemented by the students. Data were collected by in-depth interviews with teachers, students involved in criminal cases, the Foundation for Child Protection and parents. Data analysis using descriptive interpretation detail in to the data that have been collected and then done the interpretation, information data that has been collected in the analysis with descriptive interpretative technique that is done interpretation (interpretation) of the object based on data obtained then taken conclusion. The results of this study reveal that the curriculum of moral character development in children is minimal. Winarsih","doi":"10.20961/SEEDS.V2I1.25148","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.20961/SEEDS.V2I1.25148","url":null,"abstract":"Due to the fact that Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FTTE) has to prepare students to be competent teachers by engaging their knowledge with current demands and to conduct their tasks ethically in teaching practice, this study reveals a report of qualitative study that employs an action and qualitative study that explore how the SOI model of learning bridging teacher students’ cognitive processes of knowledge construction and their teaching competencies to face disruptive era in microteaching course. The subjects were 22 English Department students of semester 6 in a Public University who took microteaching. The qualitative data were collected in documentation, weekly-journals, observation, and video. Stimulated recall technique was also used to reflect on the video materials that they had to follow-up interviews. Data analysis shows that findings contribute significantly to understand constructivist learning occurs when a learner engages in three cognitive processes. They are first selecting or attending to relevant information about content knowledge of lesson, teaching methodology, students, curriculum, and technology, second, organizing or mentally organize information into a coherent mental representation, and third, integrating or integrate information of disruptive issues with existing knowledge of content knowledge of the lesson and teaching methodology. These improve teaching competencies of teacher students that help them to tailor and to drive instruction of TEFL. Essay and scoring rubric of critical thinking skills were used to find out what happened to students in term of critical thinking skill of doing essay. The data of students' critical thinking skills were calculated to obtain the data of critical thinking skills of the whole class. There was an improvement of students' critical thinking skills from the initial condition to the First Meeting by 6.8% and from the First Meeting to the Second Meeting by 8.12%. Students cognitive learning outcomes of Meeting II obtained an average value of 76.82. Improvement of students’ cognitive learning outcomes from the initial conditions to the First Meeting was 10.54 and from Meeting I to Meeting II was 3.2. The objectives or target of classical learning is achieved.
