The data were gathered through one-on-one interviews using researcher-made questionnaires and analyzed using the Braun and Clarke (2006) six-phase framework for doing thematic analysis, particularly semantic and latent approaches. Based on the findings of the study, the themes that emerged from the students' responses were: challenged, engaged, enhanced critical thinking skills, and increased vocabulary skills which show that students have varied learning experiences. Moreover, the study found that the students’ experiences in playing the word game helped them develop an interest in learning new words, increase their self-confidence in expressing themselves, improved analyzation skills, and improved reading comprehension skills. This implies that their gamified learning experience helped them improve their vocabulary skills and attitudes toward learning vocabulary. Further, this study concludes that gamified learning, surrogated with image presentations, is lucrative to students' experiences in learning vocabulary thus gamified teaching of vocabulary should be imposed.","PeriodicalId":185155,"journal":{"name":"Randwick International of Education and Linguistics Science Journal","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127292561","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among the statistical population of eighth grade male students in Birjand in the academic year, 2021 which numbered 637 people, 30 students were purposefully separated into two experimental and control groups using the available sampling method. After taking the Oxford Placement Test and the purposeful appointment of learners in experimental and control groups, a pre-test was taken. Students in both groups were trained in English text comprehension techniques and skills for 4 weeks. Analysis of test results showed that students who were taught by the blended collaborative method, compared to students who were taught by the individual blended method, in understanding the concept of English texts, correct understanding and recognition of words and proper vocabulary in order to complete incomplete texts in the post-test and delayed the post-test stages have been performed much better. In understanding the reading of English texts, there was a meaningful difference between the performance of the experimental and control groups in the post-test, but no meaningful difference was obtained in function of the control and experimental groups in the delayed post-test.","PeriodicalId":185155,"journal":{"name":"Randwick International of Education and Linguistics Science Journal","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133436166","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

I argue that innovation in art – the claims of the great artists – resulted in a certain paradigm shift. Yet the postmodern move towards a largely anti-intellectual polarity does a great disservice to art. I conclude with the necessity to at least define our terms, otherwise the possibility of art even carrying some sense evaporates, let alone any meaningful discrimination.","PeriodicalId":185155,"journal":{"name":"Randwick International of Education and Linguistics Science Journal","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124800748","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The issue badly affects the educational system and institutions because nationwide closure stops classroom activities. The study aimed to investigate the factors affecting pupils’ learning in the new normal at Saint Michael College of Caraga. The study utilized the descriptive quantitative research method. The researchers used survey questionnaires via google forms with the 58 pupils in Grades 3 to 6, who were the study's respondents using the purposive sampling method. Based on the findings, there is a moderate extent of the factors affecting pupils’ learning in the new normal. This means that the pupils learning in the new normal is moderately affected by six factors: the perceived ease of use of technology, perceived usefulness of technology, faculty capacity of the school, course content in e-learning, course design in e-learning, and learner’s characteristics. It was recommended that the school administration continue supporting and providing the Learning Management System to the students for better learning.  The pupils' perceived usefulness of technology helps them in the new normal learning; therefore, the teachers are encouraged to use videos, audios, and instant messaging to contact and provide feedback to the pupils. Moreover, teachers must monitor pupils' learning since the online classroom is new. The teacher’s reinforcement is significantly important to secure the learning for pupils online learning to be successful.","PeriodicalId":185155,"journal":{"name":"Randwick International of Education and Linguistics Science Journal","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125896747","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It also aimed to find out if the teachers’ role in developing school students’ creative thinking skills differed as per their work place (Jordan and Oman) and whether or not there were statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05=α) in the teachers’ role in developing school students’ creative thinking skills from the perspective of teachers attributed to the variable of teaching experience. To achieve the study objectives, the descriptive survey approach was used through developing a questionnaire with 31 statements which was distributed to a sample of 140 teachers teaching science to grades 4 to 8 in public schools in Jordan and Sultanate of Oman in the academic year 2021 – 2022. 5- point Likert scale was used to analyze the data collected. The findings showed that primary education science teachers practiced creative thinking skills with their students to a high degree as the mean of their responses to the questionnaire statements was 3.43 with a standard deviation 1.12. There were no statistically significant differences in the science teachers’ response means in Jordan and Oman. However, there were statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05=α) in the teachers’ response means in favor of the female teachers whose response mean was 4.25 which was higher than the male teachers’ response mean which was 3.35. This result might be attributed to a number of factors such as women in Arab societies try to prove themselves and try to prove that they are more distinguished than men. In light of the findings, the study recommended adopting teaching strategies that develop students’ creative thinking skills, supporting teachers who develop these skills and generalizing these findings to other educational stages.","PeriodicalId":185155,"journal":{"name":"Randwick International of Education and Linguistics Science Journal","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130427567","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
