This study uses a qualitative descriptive method that focuses on the act of identifying, classifying, analyzing data that has been obtained, and describing it in the form of language as it is. Qualitative research emphasizes the depth of data with the researcher as a key instrument in the research. The research data consists of humorous utterances delivered by preachers in Islamic religious sermons, namely Ustadz Anwar Zahid, Ustadz Wijayanto, and Ustadz Da'as Latif. The form of humor is analyzed using morphosyntax theory, the function of humor is linked to sociolinguistic theory, while the meaning of humor is dissected using semantic and pragmatic theory. The results of the study show that there are five dominant forms of humor that appear in dakwah humor, namely line humor, dialogue, stories, poems, and wordplay. The use of humor as a strategy in dakwah is proven to be effective in achieving its communicative goals. Humor helps make religious messages easier to understand and remember by the audience. This is because humor can simplify complex concepts and make them more interesting for listeners. This study also found that humor is not only a form of entertainment, but also an effective communication tool in spreading religious teachings.","PeriodicalId":185155,"journal":{"name":"Randwick International of Education and Linguistics Science Journal","volume":"20 13","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141703639","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This type of research is pre-experimental research which only involves one class and is carried out in 2 meetings. Experimental units are conducted total sample which involved all grade III students. The results showed that: (1) student learning outcomes before being given treatment based on an average score reaching 33.3% were in the low category. Being in the high category, this can be concluded after being given treatment and obtaining a score of 83.3%. (2) Then, a figure of 76.9% is obtained for the average student involvement, which shows that students are active in their education. (3) The use of the demonstration model in this class is approved; this is shown by the positive response of students of 77.2%. Furthermore, it was found that the calculated t value was 4.5 with a frequency (df) of 22-1=21, this shows a significance level of 5%. This is in accordance with the t test procedure for carrying out inferential statistical analysis, as shown in t table 2. The null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Hi) is accepted because t count > t table at the 5% significance level. Talitakum Private Elementary School has an increasing influence on the ability to read fluently in learning English using the demonstration method.","PeriodicalId":185155,"journal":{"name":"Randwick International of Education and Linguistics Science Journal","volume":" 46","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138962474","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While it is often controversial and can be offensive to some, it is also a means of coping with difficult or uncomfortable topics and offering a fresh perspective on societal norms. Just as stated by Merriam-Webster’s Encyclopedia of Literature, dark humor or black humor is a kind of humor that is marked by the use of morbid, ironic, or grotesquely comic episodes that ridicule human folly. However, this paper examines the concept of dark humor by tackling some of the significant poems of the English poet “Sherman Alexie” and the Iraqi poet “Ahmed Matar.” Those two poets discuss subjects and problems of real-life experiences. The purpose of this research is to shed light on Native Americans' daily lives on reservations and demonstrate their pain as well as the poet’s personal experience there, which is discussed by Sherman Alexie in his poems, “Futures”, “Traveling”, “Translated from the American”, “Giving Blood”, “War all the time”, “Reservation cap driver”, “The mice war”. While the Iraqi poet tended to criticize Arab rules, the lack of freedom they force, their use of torture, the government, and their persuasion of authority at all costs. Here are some of his notable poems that this research are going to explain and make critique in details. “They put a watchdog on my mouth\", \"وَضَعوا فوقَ فمي كلبَ حِراسه\", “My awful silence”, \"صمتي الرهيب\", “The lost Caravan”, \"قافلة تائهة\". Ultimately, this paper aims to offer a fair viewpoint on the usage of dark humor and to stimulate additional investigation into its psychological and social significance. It can be hypothesized that Dark humor has been used heavenly by Ahmed Matar and Sherman Alexie in their poetry, and the researcher is going to show the importance of using humor is to attack the capitalist system, as in Sherman Alexie country, and the ruthless hegemonic government as in Ahmed Matar' country. It is used to show vulgarity of governments and to amuse the audience to certain extent.","PeriodicalId":185155,"journal":{"name":"Randwick International of Education and Linguistics Science Journal","volume":" 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138960911","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It aimed to respond to two questions in particular: In applying the K–12 curriculum framework in their classrooms, teachers used a variety of pedagogical strategies. How much did these strategies differ from one another? How many problems did they encounter? It used a descriptive survey design and a quantitative methodology. 75 respondents were chosen at random to receive survey questionnaires, and they were chosen from a pool of respondents. The study revealed that the high school teachers from the chosen secondary schools in Maguindanao-I division occasionally used pedagogical approaches in their instruction and occasionally encountered difficulties implementing the K–12 curriculum in the schools where they were assigned, particularly regarding the use and accessibility of ICT and teaching aids, which are seen as being crucial to providing students with high-quality education. This further demonstrated that teachers in public schools lacked the necessary pedagogical tools to effectively teach the K–12 curriculum. With this new trend in education, teachers still need to be prepared. However, teachers were still having trouble putting the new curriculum into practice. The most difficult component for the teachers has been utilizing ICT and ICT-related educational resources. This is due to the fact that some teachers still struggle to utilize computers effectively, and some pupils still struggle with subject matter understanding among professors.","PeriodicalId":185155,"journal":{"name":"Randwick International of Education and Linguistics Science Journal","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128196112","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
