Current definitions do not consider the number, severity or prior chronic symptoms. Our aims were to describe the frequency of \"new\" persistent symptoms (without taking into account those already present before pandemic) following acute COVID-19 and compare with those who did not present the disease.</p><p><strong>Materials and methods: </strong>We collected Information on 19 symptoms at two points: pre-pandemic and at survey time, through a self-administered survey targeted at health workers working in person during the pandemic.</p><p><strong>Exclusion criteria: </strong>acute COVID-19 (or within 21 days of the initial symptom). All COVID-19 participants had previous PCR-confirmed diagnosis.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Among 249 participants, 73 (29.3%) had had a diagnosis of COVID-19 and 176 (70.7%) had not. 43.8% reported at least one pre-pandemic symptom, with no significant differences between groups (44.3% vs. 42.5%, p=0.789). The median interval between COVID-19 acute illness and survey was 137 (range 38-164). The COVID-19 group reported higher frequency of \"new\" symptoms (39.7% vs. 12.5%, p=0.000, RR 3.17; 95% CI 1.96-5.14) with a risk difference of 27.2% (95% CI 14.98-39.46). 89% of the COVID-19 group with persistent symptoms had = 2 symptoms, and 69%, had = 3.</p><p><strong>Discussion: </strong>The 39.7% of the COVID-19 group had persistent \"new\" symptoms, 27% more than the nonCOVID group. The voluntary termination of pregnancy (VTP) care setting could be an opportunity to offer and perform STI screening tests. This study seeks to determine the prevalence of STIs in women who consult for VTP and to explore the association between STIs and sociodemographic variables.</p><p><strong>Materials and methods: </strong>Between April 2022 and June 2023, an observational, analytical, prospective, and cross-sectional study with an interdisciplinary approach was conducted. Women with =14.6 weeks of gestation who consulted for VTP were invited to participate. HIV, HCV, HBV, -and syphilis test were performed. Endocervical swabs were taken for the detection of Trichomonas vaginalis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and Chlamydia trachomatis.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Of 662 women who consulted for VTP, 160 (24.2%) decided to participate. A total of 154 cases were analyzed, identifying 36 cases of STI (23.38%). Within this group, 24 cases were new diagnoses (66.7%). In the subgroup of 24 new cases of STI, 27 new infections were detected, of which 13 corresponded to Chlamydia trachomatis, 8 to Trichomonas vaginalis and 6 to Syphilis (4 new diagnoses of syphilis and 2 reinfections). In this paper, we present the results of the first year in a public hospital.</p><p><strong>Materials and methods: </strong>Cross-sectional study. Patients older than 17 years with acute and clinically stable diseases were included. We analyzed their clinical characteristics, days of hospitalization, mortality, readmission, and patient and family satisfaction surveys. The cost analysis is general, per day/bed, and variable due to the progressive incorporation of human resources and increase of available beds.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>A total 276 patients were hospitalized, 51% women, median age 65 years, median number of days of hospitalization 4 and mean Charlson Index 4. The percentage of readmissions was 17.2% and mortality 6.7% at 30 days. Satisfaction surveys were completed by 28.6% of patients and 13.1% of family members: 96-100% reported that they considered all the points evaluated as very good/good. 90-95% stated that they would choose this modality again, that they would recommend this modality, and that they preferred it to hospitalization. The HH cost per bed day was 70% higher than the medical clinic cost per bed day.</p><p><strong>Discussion: </strong>HH is feasible to implement and accepted in our setting. Although it is estimated that the incidence of TB in pregnant and postpartum individuals is higher than in the general population, there is insufficient data in our country. Congenital transmission is very rare. We report a case of congenital TB transmission diagnosed through epidemiological criteria and molecular methods. Influenza vaccination is crucial for preventing complications. The World Health Organization recommends a coverage rate of at least 75% for the at-risk population. The aim of this study was to evaluate vaccination coverage among members of the Health Plan of the Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires.</p><p><strong>Materials and methods: </strong>Cross-sectional study nested within a dynamic cohort. All members of the Health Plan during the influenza vaccination campaigns of 2022 and 2023 were included. The influenza vaccination rate was calculated and reported as a percentage with its respective 95% confidence interval (CI95%). Demographic variables and comorbidities were analyzed.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>The influenza vaccination rate was 12% in 2022 and 10% in 2023. Subjects aged between 6 and 23 months had the highest vaccination rates in both periods, at 43% (CI95% 41-46) in 2022 and 48% (CI95% 45-51) in 2023, followed by the population over 65 years old with a rate of 23% (CI95% 23-24) in 2022 and 18% (CI95% 18-19) in 2023. The infection can cause clinical presentations ranging from mild to severe. The first report of co-infection with two dengue serotypes in Moreno Municipality is presented. Six cases of DENV-1/DENV-2 co-infection were recorded at Moreno Hospital during epidemiological weeks 1-15 of 2024. During this period, a significant increase in reported dengue cases was observed compared to previous years. The co-infected cases did not show significant clinical differences compared to other patients who experienced the disease with a single serotype. A relationship between consanguinity and DMD has been reported. We aimed to describe the prevalence and the sociodemographic, clinical and genetic characteristics of patients with DMD in an isolated population in Tafí del Valle (Tucumán, Argentina).</p><p><strong>Materials and methods: </strong>Cross-sectional, descriptive, epidemiological study. Demographic, clinical and genetic data were retrieved from medical records. Pedigree charts were made after an interview with the family group.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Seven male patients with DMD of DiaguitaCalchaquí ethnicity were identified (median age: 14 years old), with a prevalence of 0.12%. Five different mutations were reported. No consanguinity was identified in pedigree charts.</p><p><strong>Discussion: </strong>An unusual high prevalence of DMD was identified in Tafí del Valle.
