The objectives of developing this approach is to ensure the program is well organized and comprehensive, the accuracy of evaluation scheme is observed, fairness is guaranteed, the listed program outcomes are achieved as well as capable to enhance the students' soft skills. It starts with the assignment of a coordinator and establishing related committees. A schedule which includes all the important deadlines is prepared by the coordinator and distributed to the supervisors as well as students. All regulations are announced to the students during the first meeting and the guidelines are circulated among the supervisors. Workshops for technical writing and presentation skills are held to expose the students to the proper writing and presentation skills. Logbooks are written by students based on the format given and should be approved by their supervisors and will finally be audited by the coordinator monthly to observe their progress. The fuzzy control algorithm for light tracking system is implemented using a webcamera as a vision sensor, two PC sound cards as output signal controller, and two DC motors as a pan-tilt driver mechanism. Two Fuzzy logic controllers are designed to control the camera panel angles of the proposed light tracking system. The fuzzy controller input parameters (light source pixel coordinate) and output parameters (variation of duty cycle) are used to generate the optimal pulse-width-modulated (PWM) under different operating conditions to drive the motors. The motors will react accordingly when they receive signal from the sound card to make sure the camera always focuses on the centroid of the light source. The major issues addressed in this paper are reducing the number of pulses that are sending through sound cards to move the motors, this will significantly reduce the power consumption required to drive the camera panel to the desired location. Also using a webcamera and a sound card reduces the circuitry required when compared with conventional light tracking systems, hence, saving components such as xPC target, Encoder, Tachometer, ADC or DCA and others. The system tested at different locations. However, student learning of basic and advanced electromagnetic and antenna are difficult because the fundamental quantities are based on abstract mathematics describing fields and waves which are hard to visualize. The existing system of conventional undergraduate teaching provides little practical experiences through laboratory exercises and direct visualization of electromagnetic fields is not possible. Thus, students have difficulty visualizing the related phenomena in electromagnetic and antenna. Consequently, their understanding and ability to be creative in problem solving in these technical areas will be affected. The use of computer technology for visualization of electromagnetic and antenna phenomena is one of the best vehicles to overcome these difficulties. Hence, a visualization and learning aid software package is recently developed by the authors for educational as well as research purposes. For this reason, the analysis of the actual state and evolution of the basic intellectual capital variables inside a company has become a relevant subject; besides, it is now considered a fundamental element in the processes of technological innovation and development, and it can be viewed as a competitive advantage in the human talent management in its innovation capability. This paper approaches an intellectual capital systemic model from the point of view of System Dynamics [1] in order to back a set of strategic decisions towards the achievement of certain goals in an organization. Universities are accountable in providing adequate communication skills for graduates to prepare them to face the challenging and changing industry. This study investigates the communication skills (oral and written) of interns from a private engineering and technology focused university in Malaysia. For a more comprehensive perspective, two sets of questionnaires are used to gather data from the interns and their respective industrial supervisors. Overall, the findings indicate that the interns possess high communicative abilities both in oral and written. Although the mean scores suggest that the interns had rated their communicative abilities higher than their industrial supervisors, t-test results show no significant difference between the two groups of respondents. Interestingly, no significant difference is found between interns from different academic programmes. The findings of this study indicate that the university may have prepared and groomed its students adequately to meet the needs of the current industries. Due to the concerns over the off campus Bachelor of Electrical Engineering students' poor percentage of completion and low percentage of students that achieve Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) above 3.00 at the University of Teknologi MARA (UiTM), a study was initiated to identify the reasons for the poor performance. This paper presents the outcomes of the investigation. The investigation was based on a survey that involved 23 respondents who are lecturers teaching courses/subjects within the programme. The survey was categorized into three parts; the students' academic performance, their attitude and class behavior and their soft skills. Results indicate that the student's mathematical skills and knowledge in engineering fundamental basics are very low. In addition, their attitude and class behavior are probably the reason why they cannot score high CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average). However these students seem to posses good soft skills. This paper describes an innovative way of teaching curve sketching to first year undergraduate students by using the analogy of snakes and electric fences. A snake represents a continuous curve and an electric fence marks a forbidden zone or an asymptote. Given a mathematical function, y = ƒ(x), the learner will learn to identify the zone(s) in which the snake is allowed to wander, the forbidden zones that cannot be crossed by the snake, the positions for its ends (called head and tail for convenience), possible crossings on the x-axis and y-axis by the snake, and any other ‘twists and turns’ of its body that will lead to a clear trace of its body. The complete trace of the snake's body will then be the curve for the mathematical function y = ƒ(x). This approach will certainly spice up the learning process and strengthen the conceptual understanding of the various mathematical aspects in curve sketching.
