Hence, it is a vital part that an individual has to keep in mind. The term “Reproductive Rights and Reproductive History” was coined in the “International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD)” held in 1994, and the term “Reproductive Health” was connoted as “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity, in all matters relating to the reproductive system and to its functions and processes”. Collected detailed on reproductive behaviour of an individual now known as “Reproductive history”; is defined as “An important aggregate factor in epidemiological studies of women’s health. The concept usually includes the number and timing of pregnancies and their outcomes, the incidence of breast feeding, and may include age of menarche and menopause, regularity of menstruation, fertility, gynaecological or obstetric problems, or contraceptive usage.” Researchers, epidemiologists, along with medical personnel have chronicled their findings and voiced their concerns in maternal and reproductive health in various platforms at national and international levels. Some of these papers are focused on this topic. In the present discussion an attempt has been made to evaluate the role of structural and social determinants on reproductive health. The systematic analysis might help to pinpoint the populations that seem to be lacking in awareness of the importance of this vital but often ignored part of health and thus there is a lag in the reproductive health services.","PeriodicalId":18105,"journal":{"name":"Malaysian Journal of Medical and Biological Research","volume":"13 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72722078","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The clinical signs and symptoms of right-sided infective endocarditis are subtle, making clinical detection more complex and easily leads to misdiagnosis. We present a case of mild haemoptysis as a presentation of right-sided infective endocarditis but was initially misdiagnosed as pulmonary tuberculosis, which led to a delay in treatment. The patient had multiple visits to the health facilities (private clinic, government’s health clinic and hospital) and one admission to the hospital for recurrent cough, fever, and haemoptysis without any improvement. Later, he was diagnosed with right-sided infective endocarditis and was well after treatment. Delays in treatment can lead to an increased risk of permanent morbidity to the patient.This case report highlights the importance of a high index of suspicion and exploring other differential diagnoses of haemoptysis apart from pulmonary tuberculosis.","PeriodicalId":18105,"journal":{"name":"Malaysian Journal of Medical and Biological Research","volume":"57 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81202486","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first two years period of life is a critical phase because of the growth and development of the children during this period. The purpose of this study is to analyze the situation of malnutrition in toddlers in nutritionally vulnerable districts. This study is a descriptive study using a cross-sectional approach. There are 10 respondents from Puton Village, Diwek District, and Jombang Regency as the samples of the study. The data was collected from August until September 6, 2019. The samples were collected by using a total sampling method. The dependent variables in this study are nutritional knowledge, infectious disease, and eating habits. Meanwhile, the independent variables are undernutrition and malnutrition. The data were analyzed using Chi-Square. The results of the study showed that the most influential factors in the occurrence of undernutrition and malnutrition were almost entirely (76%) influenced by eating habits, very few (15%) influenced by nutritional knowledge, and very little (9%) influenced by infectious diseases. Problem-solving in nutrition programs must be developed innovatively at the regency level with indirect intervention at the regency level, through strengthening the health and nutrition system by involving the community, local government, and related sectors.","PeriodicalId":18105,"journal":{"name":"Malaysian Journal of Medical and Biological Research","volume":"33 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78229777","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although most of it is primary headache, physicians may easily miss the diagnosis of secondary headache. Therefore, we need to equip ourselves with adequate knowledge together with a good and thorough physical examination to avoid missing a diagnosis of secondary headache. In addition to that, for a patient presenting with chronic headache, it is very important for us to always review our diagnosis and our management. We reported a case of sphenoid bone fibrous dysplasia who presented with severe recurrent headache despite being given treatment, analgesics and even propranolol for migraine. Fibrous dysplasia accounts for approximately 5 to 7 percent of benign bone tumours. He presented to the primary care clinic multiple times before the imaging was ordered. Subsequent MRI showed fibrous dysplasia of the right lesser wing of the sphenoid bone. After the surgery, the headache improved as well as his quality of life.","PeriodicalId":18105,"journal":{"name":"Malaysian Journal of Medical and Biological Research","volume":"90 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84342630","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is closely related to brain control, so that children's cognitive development requires brain stimulation efforts. Stimulation is needed to improve children's development. Children who receive targeted and regular stimulation develop faster than children who do not receive stimulation. Brain Gym is a healthy natural alternative effort that includes a series of simple movements that can optimise human brain function so that a person can face various kinds of learning difficulties, tensions, and challenges to oneself and others. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of brain exercise in improving children's cognitive abilities. This research method is quasi-experimental and uses the chi-squared statistical test. The research sample consisted of 28 respondents, consisting of the treatment group and the control group. The results of statistical tests using the Chi Square test obtained 0.05 (0.018), which means that brain exercise is effective in improving children's cognitive abilities. So it is suggested that brain exercise can be applied to children so that learning becomes fun and improves their abilities.","PeriodicalId":18105,"journal":{"name":"Malaysian Journal of Medical and Biological Research","volume":"1026 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77183555","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Vaccine hesitancy was listed as one of the top ten issues that threaten global health by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2019. Therefore, this study aimed to examine sentiment on vaccines from Facebook pages, focusing on Facebook users’ views on vaccination programs through a mixed-method approach, which is a qualitative and quantitative combination analysis. Methods: This analysis uses all comments posted on Facebook pages downloaded using Facepager software from 01 December 2020 to 31 December 2020. R software is used to clean the comments and performed the sentiment analysis, while Gephi software is used to perform the semantic network analysis. Results: Out of 5,055 comments, the majority of the comments are negative sentiment (49.33%), followed by positive (32.58%) and neutral (18.08%) sentiment. For the negative sentiment, tolak, mati, and cucuk were the most frequent words ever used. For the positive sentiment, terima, setuju, and selamat were the most frequent words ever used. The positive network centered around the word dajjal focused on the word lab and FDA. In contrast, the negative network centered around the word vaksin focused on the word semulajadi and kerajaan. Conclusion: These findings are useful to understand the problem of parents who are skeptical of the vaccination program and also can be a guide for public health to communicate with the public through social media.","PeriodicalId":18105,"journal":{"name":"Malaysian Journal of Medical and Biological Research","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89337947","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
