This study aims to determine the effect of body mass index (BMI) and physical activity (PA) on the learning motivation of physical education students aged 15-17 years in different schools. This research design uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The sample consisted of 202 male and female at high-school Students 1 Sukoharjo, Central Java, aged 15 to 17 years, selected through purposive sampling. The instruments used in the research were BMI variables, PA, and learning motivation. Using multinomial logistic regression analysis for data analysis it is possible to find physical education students' learning motivation in a different category from the BMI category and PA category based on the p-value (0.05). The results of the descriptive data found that the most BMI research samples were in the normal category with 45.0%, then PA was in the moderate category with 49.5% doing moderate PA, and the learning motivation of physical education students was in the high category with 42.6%. multinomial logistic regression analysis showed, 1) there was no effect of BMI categories on different learning motivations (p-value: 0.920); 2) there is an effect of PA categories on physical education students' learning motivation (p-value: 0.009); 3) there is a significant effect between the categories of BMI and PA categories on the learning motivation of different physical education students (p-value: 0.000). A higher percentage of BMI is associated with decreased PA. In addition, low learning motivation was observed among students with low levels of PA and a higher percentage of BMI in the overweight category.","PeriodicalId":178983,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Social Work and Science Education","volume":"65 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139357884","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method used is a qualitative method. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that teacher development is one of the principal’s duties. At SD Negeri 14 Air Salek, a five-year medium-term strategic plan has been prepared, namely 2018/2022 as well as an annual operational plan. This proves that the planning of teacher development at SD Negeri 14 Air Salek is well planned. The guidance of teachers at SD Negeri 14 Air Salek is also inseparable from the difficulties in achieving optimal coaching results. The obstacles faced include improving communication techniques. Thus, situations like these always impede learning and prevent teachers from reaching their potential. The solution to the problem is to take steps to train every teacher to communicate politely and effectively.","PeriodicalId":178983,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Social Work and Science Education","volume":"63 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139360009","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research is experimental research. The population of this study were all fifth-grade students at SDN Solear II Tangerang Regency, totaling 74 students consisting of two classes, with details of 37 students in VA class and 37 students in VB class. The sample in this study were 40 students consisting of VB class as the experimental class and VA class as the control class. The instruments in this study were 5 items in the form of essays which were carried out during the pre-test and post-test as well as instruments to measure students' learning styles. The results of the data analysis found that there was a difference in the average value of improving students' mathematics learning outcomes between the control class and the experimental class, where the control class had an average score of 66.75 and was lower than the experimental class which reached 78.75. This means that there is an influence of Discovery Learning strategies and student learning styles on student mathematics learning outcomes.","PeriodicalId":178983,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Social Work and Science Education","volume":"367 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139359989","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The war was caused by the resistance of a Javanese nobleman named Prince Diponegoro, this war was called the Diponegoro War or known as the Java War. Because of the unprecedented amount of popular resistance, the losses suffered by both the colonizers and the Javanese people were very large, both human and material casualties, this was closely related to economic conditions during the war and after the end of the war. This paper aims to analyze and describe the consequences of the war that occurred at that time on the Dutch colonial as well as on the Javanese people themselves, from an economic aspect. Research through a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, namely literature study and usually historical research using heuristic methods. The results of the study stated that the consequences of the Java War were very significant in affecting the lives of Javanese people and the Dutch colonial after the war.","PeriodicalId":178983,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Social Work and Science Education","volume":"75 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139360498","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
